how many people actually get away with robbing a bank
>>35123267
Nobody because bank robbers are all retards.
Why rob a bank when you can commit white collar crimes from your living room and get a slap on the wrist if you are actually caught?
Scam a few senile old people out of their entire life savings after you befriend them and gain their trust through dubious means and go to jail for 2 years max versus robbing a bank for a dye pack of hot money and going away for effectively life.

So I'm setting up a plan for surviving and evading in the mojave desert. Lets say you're being tracked. What do you plan for?. What gear do you bring?. What's your tactics?

I want to survive the apocalypse. I want to win long-distance engagements, and I want to win short range engagements, with everything in between.
Tell me, in one sentence, which weapon is the best choice.
My current belief is an AR style weapon in 7.62x51mm. I am open to differing arguments.
I'll post a few images to whet your whistle.
>>35122330
I also like the G3 and SCAR designs, not particularly partial to the other ones, but I could be convinced.
>>35122330
Another question: Can anyone with experience with .30cal rifles give a "most effective for all ranges" judgment? My current perception is that 7.62 and various .30s are more powerful and consistent than .223/5.56.
>>35122330
Here's a nice wooden M14. I like the look of it but I don't think I'd take something this nice-looking out in the wilderness of the apocalypse.
Hey, I'm not sure if this thread belongs on /k/ or /his/, but I'll ask y'all first.
I've been trying to research the weapons in use around the time of the French and Indian war and the American War of Independence, but the only actual recorded model I've found is the Brown Bess.
Anyone know of any other documented designs/models?
>>35122324
The problem with that period is that they were all so similar and the design was so widespread yet pre-industrialization, so basically no parts were interchangeable. This all means that the brown bess was kinda of a catch all for flint lock muskets of that period. I think the proper name for the british muskets was "Land Pattern Musket" They're all around 75 caliber, but to be honest, its hard to make any of them have different functional characteristics other than the rifled barrel of some early muzzle loading rifles. If you have a specific question on them, ask that, but as of different guns of the period, there really weren't; it was all pretty much just flintlock muskets.
>>35122417
You're a hero.
That's really all I needed to know.
Here's another question then, how effective were cannons on the battlefield? What were their primary roles outside of a siege?
Thoughts?

Picked this up yesterday
Also my first pistol
Also, I'll ask here as well as /qtddtot/; I was asking around about advice before I bought this thing and someone told me it might not be a bad idea to buy some kind of parts kit, but I can't remember what he was talking about. Anyone have any idea?

Also, how come our slides say 9x19 instead of Luger like everyone else's?
It's been months since I've been able to shoot but I'm down to 2 weeks of college left before I'm out for good. Much range time in the future.
Pick one, and tell me why
No thanks.
Stripper clips past 10 rounds kinda suck, the leverage is bullshit and the rounds want to bind before entering the mag.
That said, there's nothing wrong with SKSin' innawoodz.
>>35122252
What do you mean pick one, retard? It's not like you can use them interchangeably on whatever gun you're shooting.
Is it really true that the CZ clones like Tanfoglio, Jericho, and Tristar are actually better made then the real deal CZ?
Depends on what you mean by "better"
>>35122264
>Machine marks to the max
>shit finish
>slide stops literally crack
>other small parts breakages
Things you simply dont hear from the other makers of CZ-style guns, including the Jericho (which is apparently just a clone of the TZ Tanfoglio)
>>35122202
As far as i know, no, they're not. The only thing better about them is the price, and if you hold them next to each other, you can see where and why they're cheaper. Will they work? Yes. But know that you're buying a knock off.
Although much of the internet seems to have respect for Jericho. I've never come across one, so that one i can't speak about
