I have narrowed my choice for my next gun to a Ruger GP100 or a Springfield XDM
What do you guys think? I have shot them both. Just want some opinions.
This is the GP100...
>>33375546
I had an xdm in 45 with 13 round double stack. It was very boring to shoot so I sold it.
Springfield
If, IF the HPA makes it then I think people aren't realizing that shit tons of companies with large scale machining capabilities are going to get into the suppressor business. The shortage will only last as it takes for some rich farts to realize they can make ass loads of money basically just internally threading a bunch of conduit and lathing some billet down to cones
Nigga what, everyone realizes this and it's what we want. Suppressor prices are inflated due to regulation. Higher end stuff will be more expensive because R&D costs money but the low end and clones will be cheap as all hell
I can't wait to build my own
>tfw stupid niggers really think making cans is "threading conduit" and shit.
Wew
Semi new AR owner here. I've been watching videos on proper stance when holding an AR and most people seem to reccomend leaning forward, square with your target and putting the rifle right in the pocket of your shoulder.
This makes sense in the context of defensive shooting and close range compeitition style shooting as it absorbs recoil better and allows for follow up shots, but if I'm just at a range and I want to try to make a precision shot is it OK to revert to the more "classic" stance of blading your body slightly and using bone support to steady the rifle? (pic related)
Or should i just work out more until I can use the leaning forward stance to pull of precision shots as well.
>>33375465
work out more.
>>33375465
>I have a decent understanding of how professionals shoot, but is okay if I do the opposite of that?
s-sure man. do whatever you want.
>>33375465
>is it OK to revert to the more "classic" stance of blading your body slightly and using bone support to steady the rifle?
yes. do whatever you want. however, if you are training specifically for self defense or happening then you should practice methods designed for that application.
Why are new cartridges still being made? I mean I sort of get .300BLK because you can shoot it suppressed but there's nothing that 6.5 Creedmoor can do that .260 or .308 can't
Just seems to me that all the niches have been filled for a while
Marketing and consumerism
>>33375362
Ch-chamber it in an AR15?
>>33375362
>there's nothing that 6.5 Creedmoor can do that .260 can't
.260 can't be loaded with 140gr bullets and still fit in a short-action receiver/magazine.
Hallo nowble ones
>>33375155
Hay folks, matt easton heah, scholagladiatoria
Now today I'd like to make a point about chain mail. You see there's this find from Visby...
>>33375274
Literally cancer. Can't stand this cunt.
does /k/ know where i can buy a an English long sword made out of tungsten
>>33375118
Do you realize how retardedly heavy that would be?
>>33375118
Wasn't this a few years ago? And wasn't he targeting blacks not muslims?
Did he only just get a sentence?
>>33375118
Tungsten a shit. Get you some bismuth.
*nukes your city*

>>33375044
Why would anyone use a thermonuclear missile? Pathetic penetration. .45 ACP is the only thing I would trust for destroying cites.
>>33375066
For me it's the Glock 19, the best striker fired explosive device.
>>33375044
What the fuck is that?
Is there any point to these ships at all? Why don't they have F-35Bs?
>>33375029
1) They're still excellent amphibious platforms.
2) Australia kept the ramps just in case they decide to operate F-35Bs in the future.
>>33375029
Amphibious warfare, HADR, C&C, etc you dumb fucking commie.
F-35Bs distract from the amphibious role and were retained because of engineering issues if they removed them and allows future use should the ships be reroled into carrier F-35s.
>>33375029
>building a few ships while china takes all your farms and animals, minerals, and vespene gas
Cmon you cunts stop them.
You are walking down the street late at night when you hear the unmistakable sound of a gun being cocked. You turn around and see this man standing there. He says, "Make me an argument, and nobody gets hurt." What do you do?
>>33374827
.22 is the superior self defense round, because it bounces around the assailants body all the way up to the brain stem, severing it and killing them instanetaneously
>>33374827
Tell him about how much OP is a faggot.
>>33374827
Unsheath my copy of Atlas Shrugged.
I was recently accepted into Marine OCS. I felt that it would be a good place for me to utilize my talents. But whilst browsing the internet, I keep seeing ex-military people complaining about how terrible service for the marines was and they couldn't wait to leave. So /K/ I wanna know, should I actually pursue officer-ship in the Marine Corps
>>33374786
Only if you want combat. Marines are fun to lead into combat.
If that's not what you want, then you should really avoid the Marines altogether.
>>33374823
I was eyeing their law program
>>33374786
I don't have any personal experience, but judging from several of my friends that were enlisted, and a few that were officers, I can tell you that officers have it far better regardless of branch. What are you looking to do in the Marines?
Is AEGIS a meme? Does it even work properly in a real warfare scenario?
>>33374650
It worked when the Houthis fired two anti-sip missiles at it.
>>33374650 adding on to this >>33374672
And if by meme you mean, it's so effective that the Chinese and Russians are attempting to clone it.
Never been proven
The US is now just finally upgrading their equipment to actually work
They'll pretend there wasn't a period for decades where the US would have lost their whole navy to AShM's
>warning shots don't exist
>>33374606
>lol that angry ass nigger is charging at me right now
>i bettah shoot a shot in the air so hes be scared nowz >:8D
>>33374606
>>33374619
Our ROE was that we had to make warning shots, warning pen flares and warning semaphore flags before we were allowed to shoot.
It was pretty fucking stupid.
>>33374606
>Negligently discharging a firearm during a confrontation and making all gun owners look like the faggot OP
How does /k/ feel about HEMA?

High Energy Meme Assault?
>>33374584
It's a step above the SCA and still gay AF. Get into HMB or else just stick with LARPing, faggot.
>>33374584
I would rather reenact the revolutionary war.
How does /k/ pay for funs? What do you do for job? Investments? stocks? gold and silver? what % do you save each month for funs. what % do you put aside for retirement?
lastly, If i go shooting i always keep 1 "load out" worth of ammo back, just in case shit goes down be for i get home.
I invest in metals, my company stock program, and 401k. also pay extra on my mortgage as much as possible that way i can buy more property sooner. Im gona be a slum lord when i retire. also spend alot of time learning and trying to improve my knowledge...stuff like pic related is an easy project and make sks more better
>>33374581
>Have Job.
>Security.
>Too poor.
>Too poor.
>Too poor.
>Crackhead levels.
>Fuck-all, although I do have a mandatory 401k that I contribute to against my will.
>>33374581
I ask daddy for it :^)
how do I stop the jitters?
am Ii th only one that gets real shaky when shooting. My hands and whole body trembles and its irritating as fuck, not to mention embarrassing. I actually get like this with any kind of confrontation too, idk if its adrenaline or im just a pussyy but the other day I got into an argument with a customer at work and it left me shaking a bit. I might join the army in the next two years and I dont want to be a nervous wreck every time I get yelled at, which would obviously be a lot
>>33374518
Go shooting even more. You slowly get use to it.
>>33374518
The trick is to constantly be slightly drunk.
Yeah that's adrenaline.
I'm active-duty and did all the yelling and stress shit and that didn't bother me.
I jitter and get a tingly vibration feeling in my fingertips if I'm in a heated argument that looks like it may turn physical.
And I have the same issue while shooting.
>Okay Brain, gotta hold still so we can get good groupings
>Brain: Fuck that let's imitate a Home Depot paint mixer! :DDDDDDD
