What would america(s) and the world be like if they never imported African labor?
Would the Arab world have become the dominant global force opposed to the Western European one?
>>2804199
The Muslims have already committed far more people to slavery than the Americans can ever dream of (and still do today). Hasn't helped them much.
Also, Americans would've just used the Irish and other Europeans.
>>2804265
Irish were unfit for hard labor in tropical/subtropical environments.
America probably would not have become a coast to coast nation, and would have probably become more akin to Australia.
>>2804287
When slavery ended Americans imported Italians to work the sugar plantations so hey probably would have used Europeans. Just not the Irish
Were mongolians the bad guys?
>>2804171
What makes a bad guy? Their motives or their actions? Or both?
And by whose and whence standard?
>>2804171
No more than the Ottomans desu.
>>2804171
They were just bringing peace, order and justice to their new empire.
Did Caesar really genocide so many of the Gaulish population, until there were so much free land for Roman settlers to appropriate? How could he get away with that?
>>2803972
different times, they were fighting him and shit.
Stop being Gaulish.
>>2803972
>Caesar genocided the gauls
Fuck off Cato.
Has anyone read up on this guys theories?
I thought it was bullshit at first, but reading up on shit like Gobleki Tepi makes you wonder if there really was superancient civilisations
Haven't read any of this guy's stuff but Ancient Civs is definitely the most fascinating "conspiracy" theory out there.
IMO Ancient (relatively) advanced civilizations we don't know about or have a very vague understanding about certainly exist.
I read magicians of the gods by Hancock.
He's got a mix of interesting ideas and a healthy skepticism of academics making assertions with stupidly limited evidence, but his entire shtick is basically filling the big 'we don't really know' gaps with supposition. Very little of his 'groundbreaking' ideas can really be proven, but it's a good read to have a guy take a critical eye to a lot of assumptions about ancient history.
It's a good primer on "Why you shouldn't take people at the word because they're prone to bullshit", but he's subject to the same scrutiny. I'd certainly never quote him in a paper or anything.
Why are western armies so reluctant to wage war there. They allow ISIS to fester, and just generally take a hands off approach to most of the continent, while having boots on the ground all throughout the Middle East.
Because white women need big cocks to satisfy their tight virginous pussies

Ignoring the French intervention in Mali, US raids and drone strikes in Somalia, and Western training and advising of Nigerian troops?
Too poor/stupid to bomb us.
If he had never been born, how different would the twentieth century have been?
Also, favourite minor historical/political figures.
Better perhaps? But it's not like he's the sole author of these ideas but he did give face to it.
>>2803874
Better how?
>>2803852
Is it considered wuzzing if black Americans honor their elite European ancestry?
They were bastard children that were never officially claimed, for political and socio-economic reasons, but the proof is in the genetics. Most are to some degree related to wealthy colonial era land owners who were in turn related to European aristocracy.
>inb4 le rape baby meme
>>2803824
>Is it considered wuzzing if black Americans honor their elite European ancestry?
No and they have no reason to. They probably saw them as inhuman anyway.
>>2803867
Whether or not they saw them as inhuman is irrelevant to the fact that they are related.
That picture there is more of an insult to white people, frankly. It's this anti-white modern hatred of Europeans "LOOK WE WEARIN YO CLOTHES CRACKA" shit. "WE YO HISTORY NOW", etc.
IIRC there was a volunteer force of free blacks in the Confederacy that named themselves 'sons of Europe' because they were the mulatto children or descendants of European old Southron gentry with black women. That's certainly cool, and the right way to honour your fathers' heritage.

This video is for entertainment, not education.
Stop getting triggered.
Is this the place to talk about old coins? Someone brought this to our museum, its an old reproduction of an older coin. Nobody here can identify it and the repro only has the one face
>>2803705
late 20th to early 21st century, China most probably
>>2803705
Doesn't look all that old to me honestly.
>>2803715
Its been stored away in the museum for way longer than that, and it came in a nice wood box

>>2803925
What part of this is propaganda?

If one from a group of privates is put in charge/command, how does he assert/establish himself if some of the others don't want to follow orders?
Simply putting on a mean face and screaming in their face doesn't seem to be a solution because they'll just laugh and not take you seriously.
Argue (with a mean face and yelling) that his authority comes not from himself, but from high and disobeying him amounts to disobeying those who have appointed him, and therefore it amounts to insubordination.
>>2803673
Depends on how long you've known them
Alexander Zhmodikov apparently thinks that Roman legionary acted more like heavy skirmishers than heavy infantry
learned about it on this Forum
https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/what-was-the-nature-of-roman-infantry.333407/
what do you think about this?
I always thought about this actually. If youve got a hanfull of throwing spears, why wouldnt you keep tossing them until you ran out? The idea of throwing one then charging seems kind of stupid. Especially since tge roman formation would be far better at receiving a charge than giving one, which disorders the ranks. I also always found the lack of archers and missile troops to be conspicuous.
>>2803686
But There's only two pilums, how long can you keep doing that?
>>2803697
Not to mention that their shield was pretty cumbersome for skirmishing.
Hey /his!
I need some help. I have to make a prezentation and write 5-7 pages about ISIS. But I can't really find any authentic or reliable article about them. Can you recommend some articles?
