So are people actually paying the ransom? How much money will they end up making?
20+ years in jail
>>60367722
Even if they are making money, it was too successful for it's own good. The entire world is watching this. They will almost certainly be caught.

>open up /g/ for everyday browsing
>see shitload of threads about ransomware
Could anybody explain to me, why whole board is now full of those threads and what thehell just happened?
I mean, ransomware were present since many years, why this one is so nasty?
Windowsfags were getting assfucked left and right like it was still the Windows XP days.
If I understand correctly, it's because this one used a backdoor put in by the National "Security" Agency to make us safer.
Good job guys.

>realise you bastards were well connected with security analysts and you were right
I won't doubt you again /g/. You did well.
Here's the story of how it ended.

Is it possible to build your own decent laptop that doesn't weigh a ton/isn't super bulky/and is still A E S T H E T I C?
>>60367146
lol no
>>60367146
If you have to ask, I will assume you are not capable regardless
>>60367146
>weigh a ton/isn't super bulky/and is still A E S T H E T I C?
Depends on your definition of all those. You'd be sacrificing battery life and performance to get a small, good looking laptop and it'd cost a fuckton because you'd be using a single board computer which means paying through the nose for it. Oh, and both the battery controller and the screen controller would be discrete boards so it'd still be relatively large compared to modern thin and lights.
But hey, you'd still have made your own.
So /g/, how do you guys manage your pr0n collection ?
Personally, I'm starting to use Hydrus for pretty much everything all my videos or waifu pictures
I don't save it; I stream it. Fap to my imagination when the power is out.

ITT: dumb things we do that we know we shouldn't
I have never applied thermal paste, I use the pre-applied stuff on stock coolers and leave it there until I just buy a new CPU and motherboard.
>Not switch to GNU/Linux
I've been meaning to for ages, but I'm just so fucking lazy.
Whats wrong with the preapplied stuff apart from not being very good
>stock coolers
Reminder that none of this would have happened if NSA reported the SMB exploit to MS instead of weaponizing it.
(and these same faggots want to introduce backdoors into encryption, can't wait for those backdoors to leak too)

Option 1: i5 & Windows 10

Combine cryptocurrency with random cool thing that doesn't already have a cryptocurrency.
Not what I'm doing personally but probably the easiest advice I can give to anyone decently competent and looking to cash in on current trends.
