Last Sunday, the official premiere of Rick and Morty managed to score nearly 3 million viewers, the highest ratings for any Adult Swim telecast since 2015 and the highest for an original since 2013.
However, this was an anomaly. In general, Adult Swim's ratings are rapidly declining, particularly on weeknights. On average, the 8 PM reruns of King of the Hill barely scrape 500,000 viewers, American Dad bumping it up to 700,000 at 8:30 only to have The Cleveland Show at 9:00 bring it back down to 650,000, before the second American Dad makes it to 900,000. It is only with the 10 PM Bob's Burgers hour that we first break the 1 million mark, peaking at between 1.5 and 2 million with the 11 PM Family Guy hour. Of course, a good 750,000 viewers would be shed right after thanks to the back to back Robot Chicken, with Mike Tyson Mysteries, Aqua Teen, Squidbillies and Moral Orel hanging on the rest of those viewers fairly well.
On Saturday, this is less of an issue as Dragon Ball and Rick and Morty reruns get decent ratings in the early hours, but current Toonami is a disaster. More adults watched 12 Oz. Mouse reruns at 4 AM last year than watched last week's Toonami block.
Sunday too is dead in the early hours, picks up for Family Guy and Rick and Morty, but is dead by the time Robot Chicken starts at 12:30.
Have Adult Swim offered an explanation for the ratings?
Ratings have entered a black hole over the last 5 years and the trend of lowered viewership has accelerated across the board on all but premium networks, and even they've begun to slip. Streaming, downloading, and apps are doing away with the old TV model at long last; cable TV may be a thing of the past by the middle of the next decade at this rate.
You can't "save the ratings", you dipshit. Cable TV is a dying content delivery system and [adult swim] was a niche network/programming block well before the decline of cable TV. What the fuck makes you think ratings can ever be saved for a programming block that is basically endless reruns of Seth MacFarlane shows?
Who's the most iconic live action female superhero
Who's the most popular live action female superhero
Who's the most powerful
Same applies for female heroes on other media (comics, cartoons)

its probably still Batman Return's Catwoman or (Rebecca's) Mystique
Wonder Woman, to all.
What is this, bait?
I think that the scheduling for the show is a bit ridiculous to say the least. Anyone wanna join me to boycott TTG by not watching Cartoon Network at all until OK KO comes on? I think it'd be fun and maybe, just maybe, we could spread our message. We can do it!
>>94362595
TTG is shit but /co/ is not your army. Back to r*ddit with you.
If you don't have a Nielsen box it doesn't matter
>pirate central
No one watches it live anyway.
/co/'s thoughts on Wayside?
>>94362257
This gets asked every week. Surely you know by now.
It's bland and shits all over the source material and without the tomboy girl in the cast, this thread wouldn't even exist
>>94362257
For a Canadian cartoon, it's excellent.
For a cartoon in general, it's rather mediocre.
What is this, /co/
>>94362013
Some kind of fetish for women turning into emoticons
>TFW a new fetish is emerging because of the Emoji Movie
>>94362151
Oh yes
How would a character like this effect Adventure Time?
>>94361865
Really nice design
>>94361865
I saw the trailer, pretty sure the guy would be a Human Racial Supremacist.
>>94361865
he'd look intimidating for a second or two and then reveal he's actually like a regular dude under a fantasy coat of paint like pretty much all adventure time characters except the lich
Post edits in cartoons made .by TV networks.
Was just watching the Futurama episode "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid", and Comedy Central cut out every moment with Bender and Zoidberg at the pet show.

Futurama should have stayed on Adult Swim and never gone to Comedy Central. The CC episodes were a huge step down from the originals for one thing. Not to mention they cut out scenes, speed up the show slightly, run the opening credits squeezed at the same time as the end credits for other shows to save time, and air it in weird 37 minute blocks where there are 15 minutes of commercials.

Typo
You now have to make a cartoon about Jake Paul, but you also have to make it good. How do you do it?
Why has this faggot been memed so much lately?
>>94361632
Comedy about a hopeless douchebag
Possible episode premises
>uses his fanbase to achieve petty goals
>fucks up his comminity and gets away with it slyly
>the gang makes a music video
>Team 10 becomes an incredibly incompetent superhero group
>visits the city of England

Jake Paul Dies In A Fire: The Animated Series
What does /co/ think about Clerks: The Animated Series?
>>94361372
It tried, but could ultimately not live up to the movies because there is only so much material for that situation, and they had to be kinda chickenshit from the start.
Clerks is not about being chickenshit. This Kills the Clerks adaptation.

Huh, didn't know Ituriel himself voiced Black Hat.
That's sorta interesting, I guess.
>>94361172
Doesn't he actually voice Black Hat in both the spanish and english dubs?
>>94361288
That's what the interview shows, yeah.
Surprising, really. Also surprising that his native language isn't actually Spanish. I pegged him as a grown-in-the-taco-fields Mexican.
