How can the 00s and 10s even compete?
>>92497489
Why is it always one extreme or the other with you faggots?
>>92497587
You'll find that most of /co/'s userbase is composed of moviedrones who have never read a comic and if they have, they've never read anything pre-2001. They buy into the stale memes of pop culture experts and learn to blindly hate 90s comics. Those who appreciate 90s comics are therefore doubly zealous in defending them.
>>92497489
Punisher
Hulk
2099
Busiek Avengers
JLA
Giffen/DeMatteis JLI
Morrison Animal Man
Morrison Doom Patrol
Batman Adventures
Superman Adventures
Sensational She-Hulk
Simonson Fantastic Four
Those were pretty much the only superhero comics in the 90s that were worth shit. And like half of them started in the 80s. Plus 2099 is really more of a "guilty pleasure" than anything else and arguably doesn't even belong on the list.
I'm looking for exemplars of the best action in panel form to increase my own skill and understanding, while also getting to look at some cool ass shit.
Some questions to cover
1) How dynamic should panel layouts be, and can a more standard layout still have a sufficient punch?
2) How many panels do you think should be between initiation and impact in strikes? Is there a comfortable average, and how do you feel about action -> result style scenes?
3) Dialogue during action scenes, yay or nay? I know some people think having full thoughts during the course of a punch is nonsense.
4) What sells an impact best? Impact auras, onomatopoeia, or the aggressive contortion of the target?
Would you have given him mercy?

What planet do you come from?
Yes, but then I'm not tough enough to get into the Salty Spitoon.
If Aku had landed someplace else, India, Mexico, Germany, Africa, would the Gods have still made the magical sword? Could we have seen a Knightly Jack, Aztec Jack, African Jack?
>>92496922
well, jack's dad was the one who released aku on accident. So, presumably, if someone else in another country released aku on accident, it would be that guy, and eventually, that guys son that had the heroic responsibility to slay Aku.
>>92497002
I bet the monk who gave him the magic potion feels pretty stupid right now
>>92497002
BY accident. He released him by accident. You don't do things "on accident".
>Villain creates a machine that shrinks garbage
>Cap and the Planeteers stops him and destroys his machine because its apparently evil to shrink down garbage
What the fuck cap
>>92496696
Liberal logic, senpai
>>92496696
If I remember correctly the garbage shrinking thing was just a trick and they were still dumping shit on the side.
>>92496696
What happened with that Leo was going to make about them?
Trollhunters Thread because why not.
>>92496580
Wonder where they can go into the darkness.
>>92496618
Yeah, I'm wondering how they'll go with that. Season 2 is going to be awesome.
Underrated show
What went so terribly right?
>>92496312
Talented people that loved the source material.
Minimum interference from Marvel and Sony.
Using stylistic art to produce better animation that does the character and his feats justice.
The show never got renewed so people can't bitch about how the show is now ruined.
>>92497622
They can bitch about how it was cancelled though.
AH! After 10,000 page 10s I'm free! It's time to conquer /co/!
>>92496132
What is this? Am I supposed to sage this thread until it hits page 10?
>>92496149
I don't think op needs any help with that.
Fuck off
Where do I go from here.
I read annihilation and conquest, guardian, thanos imperative, Nova, sam alexander nova and even bendis's guardians. It explained how starlord gets back but i want some more nova.
Nova thread? Cosmic thread?
So you've read the current Nova run?
>>92496026
you got something against older comics or something?
>>92496084
Wont lie, not a hug fan of the art. Ive read all of the old heroes for hire stuff, 125 issues or something. Ever since i never felt a strong desire to go read large quanities of silver age stuff.
If theres a good arch i dont mind

Is he the personification of /co/ ?
Whats your opinion about him ?
Is the show kino
>Ren & Stimpy thread
>>92495518
>Whats your opinion about him ?Massive autist
Knows his shit, but manages to be such an insufferable jerk that it eclipses any good qualities.
>>92495615
But he loved the animation/cartoons
He was literally living his dreams
He was THE fanboy at the time that had a fucking cartoon on air and was pure fucking K N O
but corporations and money got in the way of execs, refusing to create what could have been a massive reinasseance in cartoon history
what im trying to say i would also be mad like jon k was
>>92495507
ITT: /co/ characters you could beat the shit out of in a fight.
Should I read this? I followed the Cyclops' chart to understand the "Cyclops was right" thing. I loved the Morrison run on the Uncanny X-Men and things were at least ok to read untill the whole AvX event. But now I love Cyclops and couldn't stop reading.
So this book worth it? And if its bad, can I skip it and still get everything that's happening in the Uncanny book?
>>92494945
It's pretty good. Go for it.
>>92494964
Looks like marvel still putting it out. I will give it a shot. Thanks.
Also this is the chart that I used. I wonder what could have been of the extinction team if bendis didnt had fucked everything so bad. Jesus christ I hate this man; I thought it was a meme.
>>92494945
I have all the issues, it was pretty fucking good man. Gets a little dodgy with the end of the world stuff at the end, but it's a hell of a ride.
Has anyone seen this? I've seen a lot of people remembering Arthur on various places, but I have never heard a single mention of this show
Everyone knows about the two moms controversy and that's about it.
Yeah. I'm pretty sure it aired after each episode during that one season where Buster was traveling with his dad.
>>92494940
This was a really cool and cute show. Just little snippets of people's lives. Good stuff
