It is commonly asserted that there are distinct approaches to magick/the occult which have their origins in specific philosophical systems. Yet the current trend in the occult community, ever since Crowley's yoga obsession, has been towards syncretism. The ready acceptance of Eastern esoteric practices into well-established Western traditions has been shocking, considering the lineage worship found in both Western and Eastern systems. As a result, common trends between occult systems have become apparent over time. The concept of chi energy, for example, has found many names throughout the world and has been used as part of many occult systems.

The common occurrence of concepts which are different in name alone popping up across the entire planet throughout time (and between civilizations with little to no interaction) points me towards the conclusion that these systems originate from a common ancestor, which I refer to as the Ancestral Occult System. However, such a system has apparently not been explored in occult literature.

So if Thoth or anyone else who's particularly well-read in this area could offer some suggestions as to what such a system might have looked like, I'd appreciate it.

Hey, /x/ I'm real into sigil magick, but have only ever used it once because it kinda ruined my friendship with a girl and I'm still convinced I rewired her brain and ruined her life because of it. Now I still use magick in the way that if I want something I usually get it and if I need an opportunity it usually presents itself, but I haven't used sigil magick since. Now I really want a particular outcome to happen, but it hasn't happened yet. Really nothing has gone wrong yet, and there is a perfectly good reason to that. I actually already know that it will happen a week and a half from now, but just to prepare I made a sigil but haven't used it yet. Should I wait to when I know it will happen, or should I risk the sigil. It's been about 2 or 3 years since I first used one and I'm a bit more percise with what I want the outcome to be but I dont want to repeat my mistake.

I'm laying in bed trying to not be scared out of my mind. Something very spooky is outside my bedroom window, I can hear it pacing on the deck.
I was in the back on the deck @ about 10:45pm by myself smoking. The only light other than the light pouring out of the kitchen is a small tiki torch refill I had on the deck next to me. I was enjoying the quiet until I started ti hear an all encompassing buzzing/whirring sound
Across the crossroads I saw a pale figure cross the street & duck into the neighbors bushes. I would have thought it was nothing except it triggered the motion sensor on the porch next to the bush.
So I squint to see better & I see a figure crouched in the bush with reflecty, cat-like eyes just staring @ me & vibrating & swaying in the breeze. Then the motion sensor light goes off & just before I am plunged into an unnatural darkness I see it dart out of the bush & across the street towards our house.
Not half a second later I hear someone whisper right next to me "hey, hey."
It's fucking dark & my subconscious recognizes the whisper first while I try to see & I think "hm, that sounds like a skinwalker." Then my brain catches up & realizes it could be a person & I dropped everything & sprinted inside. (Mind you my deck is a story above the ground. No person could have been up there with me.)
Later heard my stepdad tell a story that last night he went out back to pee & heard someone whisper "hey, hey," right behind him. I did not tell him first.
Now I'm in bed & I can hear it mimicking the neighbor's dog who is barking at it, & I can hear out it moving around on the deck. I have a blanket pinned over my window so whatever it is can't look in.

Okay, playing this Pokemon Go is really creeping the hell out of me. Last night (July 20), I was walking around my street at 9pm, playing Pokemon Go in the hopes of finding a better Pokemon without me getting too far.

Out streetlights weren't that much help but the flashlight on my smartphone helped me a lot, though I know it was a dumb thing because I could lure in robbers. But I knew that our street is safe because almost all people here know each other.

I was so close to my house, when a freaking little girl suddenly appeared on the screen of my phone, startling me and making me stop on my tracks.

As I was about to look up from my phone and suddenly, a strong wind came by making me drop my glasses. I couldn't see very well, so I used my phone's flashlight and called out to the girl and asked her if she could help me find my glasses.

But when I found my glasses, I noticed that there were no other people around me. There was no place for that little girl to hide anywere and I should've heard her footsteps if she ran away or walked away from me.

I ran inside of my house and I locked all of my doors and windows. I looked outside our house using the livingroom window and I saw nothing was there.

But when I opened the app with my phone's camera facing the window, the little girl was there. Waving at me.

I uninstalled the app after that and just continued my life as a pc gamer.

I won't go into details and show proof, but I know for a fact I'm being mind controlled by a spirit, deity and/or technology.

It's seriously pissing me off but I keep getting thoughts about decency and sexuality.

Like it tries to convince me that most women are used garbage, that have been ruined by scumbag creeps. And that to take the left overs from such people is disgusting and destroys part of a souls desirability.
