Another Live Thylacine Video Surfaces Online

The second video of an alleged thylacine to have been posted online this month by the Thylacine Awareness Group of Australia, this latest video, which was filmed back in 2008, shows what some believe to be a live Tasmanian tiger running around in a field in the south-east of Australia.

Neil Waters, who heads up the group, maintains that what the footage shows is the real deal. "This thylacine here was a lot bigger and broader than the fox," he said. "It does appear to have its rear hock go flat when it steps which would give the indication that it has that typical rear foot like a thylacine. It's got an incredibly thick neck and it's very stocky in its build. It also has that very long, stiff tail that looks like an extensions of the back bone essentially, it doesn't really move, it certainly doesn't sway side to side like a dog."

170 Year Old Wreck of HMS Terror Discovered

Under the command of Sir John Franklin, the HMS Terror had originally set out for the Arctic in an attempt to traverse the Northwest Passage, but when the ice turned out to be much thicker than expected the vessel became hopelessly stuck and all 129 men on board ultimately perished.

The final whereabouts of the wreckage had remained something of a mystery for over 170 years, but now The Arctic Research Foundation has revealed that the ship has finally been located 24 meters underwater off the coast of King William Island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. The immaculately preserved wreckage was identified by a small remotely operated vehicle which entered the ship through a hatch and returned detailed images of its interior.

"We have successfully entered the mess hall, worked our way into a few cabins and found the food storage room with plates and one can on the shelves," said operations director Adrian Schimnowski. "We spotted two wine bottles, tables and empty shelving. Found a desk with open drawers with something in the back corner of the drawer."

Another ship, the HMS Erebus, was also discovered in the same region around two years ago. There are currently no plans, however, to raise either of the two vessels from the depths.

Scientists Discover How to Make Children Without Eggs

Scientists have found a way for two men to reproduce without the need for any female egg at all. The groundbreaking discovery was made during an experiment at the University of Bath which involved creating three generations of mice using sperm and skin cells from adult males. Previously it was believed that a baby could only be made by combining sperm with a female egg, but now it appears as though any cell in the human body can be fertilized by a sperm.

"It has been thought that only an egg cell was capable of reprogramming sperm to allow embryonic development to take place," said molecular embryologist Dr Tony Perry. "Our work challenges that dogma, held since early embryologists first observed mammalian eggs in around 1827 and observed fertilisation 50 years later, that only an egg cell fertilised with a sperm cell can result in a live mammalian birth. We’re talking about different ways of making embryos. Imagine that you could take skin cells and make embryos from them. This would have all kinds of utility."

In the mouse experiments, the odds of achieving a successful pregnancy was one in four. Those baby mice were healthy, had a normal life expectancy and had healthy offspring of their own.

I always thought it was a crock really. Those planes that went missing from the airforce, flight 19 was it, that all seemed rather mundane and easily explained to me. But there are some interesting reports of pilots flying into weird vortex/tunnel type things and having missing time. Not sure whats going on with the shipping really, the common explaination is that theres bubbles coming up from the seabed that affects their buoyancy. But again there are reports of sailors sailing into strange 'metallic' fogs and again losing time or whatever.

All in all i think its pretty mundane with a spatering of spoopy.
