is there anyway to get a hold of passwords stored on an android device? i have my gfs tablet and she was logged into messenger for quite a while but then it said it needed to be logged in again. does the device still even have the password or am i fucked?

You're more fucked if the password is on the device.
Typically there is only a salted hash of the password, so that the password can be checked but doesn't need to be stored as is. Such would be a huge security flaw.
If you're talking about a password to an internet service, then the hash is on the servers of the service and hasn't ever been on the device.
And this setup is good. No one can steal your passwords if no one has anything else but a hash for checking.

The only reason messenger would need to be logged in again is because she changed passwords OP. Same thing will happen with every app that required Facebook Authentication, like Spotify (if used the FB Auth)

Since my internet connection leaves a lot to be desired, I've been looking for a way to stream nyaa torrents while they download, a la Popcorn Time.
I've found Powder Player, which gets the job done but as a regular torrent client sucks, and juggling this along with qbittorrent is a chore. Are there any better alternatives to this?

If your internet sucks, you want to wait for your download to finish before you start watching, lest you get stuck in the middle.

Hi guys. I am currently trying to set up my pc and I constantly get pic related after pressing "Install Windows". As far as i have heard, one possible solution to this problem is installing the required intel storage drivers. However, when i navigate to computer I can only see X:Boot. The windows setup does not seem to be capable of detecting the plugged in windows usb, let alone the one containing the intel storage driver.
What do i do to get the setup to detect my usb drives?
System:
Asus Sabertooth mark 1 (z170)
CPU Intel 6700K
GPU Strix 1080GTX

The problem is not lacking USB 2.0 ports, since i got 5 of those. But whenever i try to load my drivers from the usb, which is plugged into the aforementioned 2.0 ports, it simply does not register, same with the usb drive that contains the windows iso, even though it had to be able to register that, in order to even load the windows files and get into that setup.....

As a gift for a friend (who doesn’t have internet) on Christmas, I’m filling a flash drive with as many free games as I can. Don’t worry I’m not a Scrooge that is going to make that the only gift.
Anyway, I already have 2 Pokémon fan games (Uranium and Prism) along with the installer for Dreaming Mary, but I want to fill this thing up as much as possible.

Hi /wsg/. A few months ago I had to remove a new GPU because it was making my PC crash, to the point where I couldn't get past Windows login without the screen glitching out and going black. The PC works fine with the GPU I had before but I wanted to play a more demanding game so a few minutes ago I tried putting the new GPU back in. Now, it gets past the BIOS screen and then the Starting Windows screen but then goes black. The GPU's fan starts working but nothing else happens.
How do I fix this? Is it a motherboard incompatibility causing this or is the GPU the problem? I did uninstall the old GPU's drivers before reinstalling the new one.

Generally, if GPUs don't work, it's because they're broken.
In your case, you might not be powering it sufficiently, but if you've never seen it work properly, why would you think that it worked?

I don't know the mobo, the PC itself is an Acer pre-built for office use and the only parts I've added are the GPU, CPU, power supply, and some memory sticks. The GPU is an R9 290.

It did work before, but then it started crashing regularly and got worse until I had to take it out.
I put my PC on its side before booting it and got a BSOD message saying that the device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. I'm reinstalling the driver with the disc that the GPU came with instead of the latest driver on AMD's site now. Hopefully this fixes it.

Alright, I need a bit of help with an external hard drive.
I bought a 1tb WD My Passport, so I could take it to the library, and boot from that drive over USB, so i wouldn't have to lug my tower to the library, which can be a pain in the ass.
I used AOMEI to make a sector by sector clone of my boot SSD to the Passport. Everything copies over fine, but when I try to boot from that drive in BIOS, it fails to boot.
The install of Windows I've cloned to that drive is one that's been clones to and from a few other drives, as well, so I don't understand what the problem is.
Any help would be appreciated.
