sounds like regular old mainland putonghua to me - he's from the PRC

the audio is pretty shit and you keep fumbling with your mike which doesn't really help - thanks for the audio spike which nearly deafened me btw

observing the long silences between what he said, i'm guessing your housemate is talking on the phone to someone else also from the PRC and someone he knows relatively well since he drawls his speech:

0:00 - 0:10: your housemate is either considering something, or the person he's talking to is considering something and my guess is that he's telling that person to go ahead and take his time to consider

12:00 - 16:00: housemate is telling the person that when he gets to somewhere (my guess is school), housemate will help that person take a look at something

28:00 - 30:00: housemate is telling that we got to "help each other out" - he meant that proverbially

not alot of sense without any context. as i said he drawls a lot and i can't hear it so well so i may be wrong if you can get more audio clips and put it nearer to him i can tell you more.

Well, there's always Equilibrium, but who's to say if you'll like it just as much.

You can also check out "Animatrix", which is a collection of The Matrix short stories.

As far as movies go this is what I've got, until the Gunnm/Battle Angel Alita movie comes out I guess.

From a reverse image search and no decent results, I got Kamachi and Uihara. Searched those together and it seems to be from the A Certain Magical Index/Scientific Railgun series. The manga adaptions, I'd assume.

Got some speakers recently and I can't work out what kind they are. As far as I'm aware they're Monitor Audio 300's, but they're built for studio use so I can't find much online about them. Anyone know much about this or how much they might be worth?

there are, 'floating around', PSDs of the Mass Effect 3 cover art. Some site do carry very high JPGs of them, 80mpixels or so.
Problem is, all of them are of the MALE Commander Shepard, but so far I've been unable to find any high res (JPG,PNG,PSD or whathever) version of the FEMALE Shepard you see here.
Anyone willing to help, I'm willing to compensate for the effort.

It's not exactly what you're after but if you're unsuccessful you could try running the image through waifu2x to upscale it somewhat

Does anyone have a torrent or mega.nz link or anything for the TV show monk? The best I've been able to find is a torrent for season 1 that looks like shit and pauses in the middle. Looking for the complete series but just 1 season will help.

The only one that comes to mind would be Graineliers. But really, I don't enjoy it - it's slow and so far there's no romance - but I think it will end in bl because there's not a female character in sight aside from a little girl.
