What are some good anime for a stoned, lazy, Sunday evening? Is any new shit good? It's been so long. What little I've seen like with Black Butler and Blue Exorcist, they're trying to inject the chibi cutesy shit in there. My favorites were Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Welcome to the NHK, FLCL, Hellsing, and Eva. Hopefully that'll give you an idea of my tastes. Are there any that are sort of tippy? Something like a Star Trek type of Anime? Something with vivid colors for my nuked little mind?

I REALLY enjoyed space dandy. There's one episode really close to the start which is the trippiest thing ever. It's also quite funny and meta, but easy watching. Beware a small amount of fujoshi material.

I feel you, and I have similar taste. Maybe give Serial Expirements Lain a try, not like Star Trek or anything and lacking vivid colors but it is very atmospheric and dark, no cutesy moe shit.
Basically you are like me, a Gainax fanboy.
