Made it grayscale.
Added an alpha (transparency) channel.
Had black as the primary tool color.
Told the pencil tool to "color erase".
Did.
If it works in something other than my old hacked GIMP, I don't know.
I have a backup for my phone(S7 edge) in the form of a .bak file. I factory reset my phone so now I need to put it back on but the program I used is a free trial and only puts 3 contacts on. What program can I use or what should I do to restore it?

i am getting a graphics tablet, but i hesitate between

i have a 1080p 21.5 inch Widescreen Monitor
but what really makes me anxious is the working area, i am rather experienced at traditional art, and i am going to be doing digital art so having a small working area where i wouldn't be comfortable scares me a bit...

Yeah you don't really want to get a small surface if you can afford a larger one.
If you're unsure about being able to afford the medium then the small will still do fine and you can sell it on Ebay or equivalent later.
The problem with the small is that it pretty much forces you to draw with the wrist. Having said that, you can still zoom in and work like that if you don't mind it.
Check the /ic/ editable sticky on 'Tools of the trade' chapter.

You literally draw on your image, just like with traditional materials.
It's got DisplayPort, so you can use your existing monitor too.

So here's what is going on. I've plugged everything in, both motherboard cables, the CPU is in and heat sink is in place, tried to power it up, and I get nothing. Here are some things I've tried:
I've checked the new MoBos battery for a piece of plastic underneath it.
I've ensured both MoBo cables are securely fastened.
I've tried firing it up w/ and w/o GPU in.
I've tried firing it up w/ and w/o RAM in.
I've tried firing it up w/ and w/o any of the case fans plugged in.
I've tried both directions w/ the power switch cable.
I went back and checked to see if I bricked my PSU. There's a light on my old MoBo that glows green when it has power, and sure enough it glowed when I had it plugged in.
Any advice would be very helpful. I can provide pictures as needed.

I'm building a new Skylake computer tower. New motherboard, CPU etc. Same hard drive case and power supply (800 watt).
In order to save money, I'm moving the hard drive that is in the Windows 7 computer I'm currently typing on and I'm moving that hard drive into the new computer and I'm installing Windows 10 on it. I have purchased a retail copy of Windows 10.
I realize that I can't simply move the hard drive as is. Windows won't let me do that. It will recognize that it is connected to a new motherboard. It's an OEM license of windows 7, so I can't legally move it. I'm not interested in illegally moving it. I've already paid for a new license of Windows 10.
How do I move the files that are currently on the hard drive in my current computer onto the wiped hard drive that will have a fresh installation of windows 10 on it if Windows Easy Transfer is not available in Windows 10?

As this anon said, you'll either have to create a new partition and install W10 on the new partition, then just copy paste the files as needed in the other one then delete the old W7 partition.
The easiest thing tho would be just copy the files you need on an external drive, wipe everything and then move the files back again.
This is more safe as you are less likely to fuck up the partitioning and delete things you don't want to

I posted this image second since I think it'll take a higher level of skill.. I'd like someone to please get rid of the Korean text at his feet without having to cut his feet off entirely, if possible. And again crop him out entirely and make the image transparent.

If you actually want to learn, it's not hard. Gimp is free and there are guides on Youtube. Search for gimp anime render guides.

Removing text isn't necessarily harder, but it can be time consuming. You mostly just use the clone tool though.
I copied the zig-zag pattern from the left to the right and resized/rotated it.
I'll try to clean up the black on the first one too, didn't notice it until I started the second.

so your monitor is vga only and you got a rx 480. ok well first of all rx 480's only have display port and dvi-i so you wont be able to get the card to display on your vga montior with any adapter. and no you cant run both the cards but just display the rx 480 through the 285s ports, thats not how it works at all. what you can do is sell your gtx 285 and get a cheap hdmi monitor because dvi-i to vga or display port to vga adapters wont work unless it also has a signal converter in which case it will cost more than a cheap hdmi monitor while a display port to hdmi adapter can be bought for like $1
