When I walk, I'm going about 3 Niantic clicks an hour, so if I had wheels like a bike, I could easily coast down the street at maybe twice the speed and hatch all my eggs much faster. You just need to learn to go at the right speed. Get a bike odometer or something.

So, can anyone tell my why my game, which otherwise behaves normally when walking around and doing the things you would expect, decides to freak out and run around (Almost literally; it acts like its moving for the purposes of buddy meter/egg hatching) while I have it plugged into my laptop at work? It's just sitting on the counter here, and it keeps losing its GPS signal and having my avatar run back and forth between here and the next block.

So 2% base, and assuming you're good enough to reliably do a curve ball and land a Great.

2 x 1.7 (curve ball) x 1.5 (Great!) = 5.1%

A Golden Razz increases catch chance, but I don't know how much. According to a raid capture chart on pokemongohub it roughly quadruples the base catch rate (goes from ~8% to ~32%).

Therefore, a Golden Razz fed Pokemon hit by a Great curved ball should be.... 5.1% x 4 = ~20.4% chance per shot. It might be less due to being Legendary, so I'll guess ~10%-20% chance.

Check local Pokemon Go Facebook groups and see if any have a discord. My local group's discord has some very reliable scanners, and I've managed to find a total of one Unown as a result (the other just happened to spawn down the road from where I live) -- in any case, I don't know what it's like elsewhere, but these scanners pick up at least two to five Unown weekly. If you spend a day or two reliably checking scanners, you might well find one.

Catching some seel at the local park, never got enough of him to evolve one. Night map is really comfy isn't it? During the day while I'm out I play legitimately, using flygps occasionally to avoid drifting while on a gym. Okay, I need advice. My area is dominated by Valor fags. They could probably have a gym stay red for six months straight without it changing teams. However, this started to change when I finally got some decent pokemon. Now, I can usually snipe this one gym by my house and get 50 coins a day. I've done this for a week or two to good success. Everything was going well until this spoofing faggot came around. Every time I take a gym, I still get 50 coins, but when the gym is taken back, he puts a 2800 CP Blissey in the gym. How the fuck am I supposed to beat it down before the timer runs down? I'm rural as fuck, I can't compete with this random level 40 faggot.

Compared Lugia, Tyranitar and Dragonite all around 93%. I'm currently level 32, the pseudos would Max out at about 3200 at my current level whereas Lugia would Max out at 3350.

Why do you care what CP the mon is rather than it's actual stats?

Is Articuno tied to the event or will there still be chances to catch it after the event ends? I've been able to lucky egg/hatch a bunch of 10ks, but haven't been in place to participate in a raid. Is it getting too late for me?

Isn't CP essentially a combination of the IVs, HP, speed and and then a species multiplier?

Thought that CP is the best indicator of battle ability and that the IVs were only really useful to work out the Max CP potential.

unless its been changed since I was playing, its a a bad output based off of attack, defense, hp and level

its weighted towards attack (at a scale of being weighted twice as much as either defense or hp, in a sense) which means that just looking at cp never gives a good measure of how strong the pokemon is compared to a pokemon with a similar cp, because they could have arrived at the similar cp with a vastly different sum of stats and distribution

looking at its individual base stats is the best way to know its effectiveness

IVs just add onto those base stats some more

CP does not affect anything, its just a rough estimate of power (technically they affect decay rate but thats another ridiculous story)

so if all IVs actually ever did was increase CP, then they would be useless

theres a little more to it than this, but not very much

I haven't bothered to check the files in months, but I left the master decoding guide in the op ages ago if you want to check the base stats of the mons yourself

I have always taken the CP with a grain of salt because I've noticed that my Jolteono and Alakazam, despite having max IV's still can't take a hit even though they're two of my top 5 highest CP'd mons.

Here's a question, how is damage calculated? Does it take 1 point of defense + 1 point of HP to cancel out 1 point of attack?
