Having higher health for enemies already forces you to use elixirs more often. PP zero traps are just fucking rude bullshit. I can't even count the number of times I've used an elixir and then stepped on a PP zero trap immediately after.
I wouldn't hate the pieces of shit so much if they only drained like half of your PP, but draining all of it just pisses me off to no end.

They're so rare they're not even worth packing an extra Elixir in my 48-slot item bag for (how many items do you bring in with you for space in the bag to be an issue?). If we're playing Explorers some Pokémon have an IQ skill that stops them from activating traps when they first step on them. And if we're playing Super it's impossible to run out of Elixirs anyway. They're an annoyance at best and a non-issue most of the time.

Also wondering this. I played through Blue and Darkness and loved them both. Gates seemed like a step backward, it's slow, not many Pokemon, never mind the story which I barely got into because I just played a demo.

Is it fun? MD is one of my favorite games and I would love an excuse to pick up my DS again.

There are five variants in Rescue Team:

That combined with the Joy ribbon (and the lack of hunger) always gives me some more experience when I need to evolve a Pokémon. I doubt they did that on purpose.

For reference, yes, this is hacked. It'd be a pain to go through all tilesets otherwise, especially considering that some are one-time only (certain bosses) and there's so many exclusive to Purity Forest I wouldn't try even to bother.

I ended up getting five different effects for the unseen force as I went all the way from tileset 00 to boss tilesets.

The game does not crash, do stupid shit or otherwise die horribly if I set the tileset flag to 2 bytes via Cheat Engine. It works normally, to my surprise. (You'd think it loop or something.)

I fucking love how incredible the mountain map looks with all of those cliffs and other hills in the distances, how in the water maps you can see the feet of the pokemon being covered by the water and how much detail there are in the forest maps.

i've been using a team composed by Mienfoo, Braixen and Nidorina, the regigigas mission was breeze! right until i got to regigigas itself, i manage to killed it right after using my last reviver seed

I haven't given enough thought to every single combination to decide which pairing is my favorite, but I did like my Explorers team, which was pic related, mostly in terms of looks. They've got the same eyes, so they fit together nicely. Also, I think their color schemes are good together. They both have just two main colors, one of which (that yellow/white shade) is shared. And then the blue and pink look nice together too in my opinion.

Not sure exactly why though, maybe it has something to do with the jarring contrast between Totodile's jaws and overall facial construction and Chikorita's. Swagger + Aromatherapy is a pretty good link move too, if you can find the TM.

I'm wondering if, for the next game in the series, Chunsoft will keep the current canon or start an entirely new PMD world. Kind of hoping for the former. If they, for whatever reason, decide not to do the grandiose story telling that makes the series so good, then an rpg where you can choose your mon, which continent and hometown/city/village you come from, and your backstory and everything would be interesting to see. Just throwing stuff out here.

Nothing impossible, just time consuming if you want it to be good. The only really hard thing might be AI and interesting dungeon generation, and I suppose programing in all the hundreds of moves and their effects.
And I'm pretty sure a few people have done it. There was that online thing, but I've heard that was garbage, and there was also another single player game, but I forgot to save the link to it and never actually checked that out.

I liked it best music wise. Super's towns were bigger and had more space and the strangers seemed more lively and active with each other.

I want there to be a big city with big buildings in a PMD game. I want to see little details that show that the city is advanced, orderly, and full of wonder, such as the sky being filled with delivery birds, markets, indoor waterworks, science labs, and clocks.
