I've been buying good layout maps and running through them quick but why does it feel like this isn't paying off at all? The currency drops I got don't even pay off what I spent (I did get a reliquary key but not counting that in for obvious reasons) so it just feels like a pointless sink (I'm not aiming for experience, just want to earn currency). I might just cave in and run literally any shit map, knowing that even though I'm going slower I save myself a lot in map prices in the long run. I do realize it's a shit mindset to have, but it really feels like being able to run more at a price isn't worth it. Do people feel the same way and just run them anyways banking on super rare valuable drops?

People use very different gems for zombies all of the time. Some focus on even more damage, some focus more on attack speed and so on. I'd definitely recommend focusing on SRS (5l/6l) and putting Zombies in the helm.

i just started ssfhc a couple weeks ago

went sunder dw gladiator, ripped to something stupid in early maps.

then i went srs, which is probably the worst experience i've ever had playing poe. squishy as fuck and just not at all enjoyable, even after grinding out flora's gift cards. i ripped at 80 and was honestly happy to never have to play the character again.

thankfully the srs necro found both a BoR and an ok-rolled pair of facebreakers, so i figured i'd try shield charge fb slayer for my third character, and i just hit 80 with him. it's going pretty well, though i still haven't found a meginord's girdle despite chancing over a hundred heavy belts and grinding prophecy leaguestones in hopes of getting the meginord prophecy.

it's super challenging sustaining maps at this point (i'm around t9) compared to tradecore, but i'm looking forward to eventually getting up to t13/14 and farming some steel rings.

5-15 flat is about 15% of my dps vs 10% more from intimidate, and the 10% life from meginord's is better than the flat from deceiver

i'm only really complaining about it because it's the only meaningful upgrade i can get at this point, since steel rings are a long ways away. thankfully i got my sixth uber trial today but it doesn't look like a very good day for izaro

the other thing about the build that differs a bit from when i played it last league, the aoe nerfs hurt it a decent amount and inc aoe is now complete and total garbage, so i'm just using melee damage on full life now (which is pretty amazing with the rework)

i'm looking at lion's roar flask, and it says 35% more damage. thats huge right? the way i understand it is that it first calculates all your damage, then takes 35% of that and adds it on top. is that correct so far?
then i'm looking at atziri's promise and it says 22% of physical and 12% of elemental damage as 'extra' damage
whats the difference between this extra damage and the 'more' modifier?

"Added as extra damage" is a "local" mod and is applied to the damage first.

A global "more" modifier like Lions Roar is calculated last, multiplying the final damage dealt before calculating the target's defenses for damage taken/life removed.

If both modifiers are applied, you get more of your base damage and more of the added damage.

Just making sure im understanding spectral throw/point blank right:
The whole time it is reaching its reversal point it does anywhere from 50%-1% more damage, it does normal damage at the instant it's stopped, then the entire trip back it does anywhere from 1%-50% less damage, capping out at 50% after it's traveled the same distance in reverse

hm my friend who is playing a non-crit build with slower proj on shaper said he went from spending over a minute per phase to 15-20 seconds just by speccing into it. Also that image seems outdated and not correct for spectral throw where the tumbling of the weapon at the end of it's range (which is only half of it's travel distance) is most of it's damage, which with slower proj would seem like it should work quite nicely with point blank?..

So before I played a Slayer Cycloner with all the AoE nodes and with a devotos for maximum clearspeed. Now I'm playing a Doomfletch Prism pathfinder(saw the tree on mathils stream and wanted to try it out as I've nerve played a bow character before) and at lvl 63 my clearspeed so already much better, literally one-shotting whole screens at a time. I dont even have much gear at all atm, no vinktar, no wise oak and no crit gear.
