I remember when some autist figured that warbands (i think) location was based on some unintuitive mapping from the merciless locations to some map layout and there was a tonne of proof and chris said this was wrong twice. Like a week later in the patch notes it says they fixed warbands accidentally using merc locations for their map locations. Breach league ruined this game for me.

Breach was literally fun until the end. Not a single map was dull because every single one allowed you to partake in at least one instance of total mayhem and the pinnacle of what this game is about: total bloodbaths

I legit can't go back to "le single boss per area" or "le regular mobs, slightly modified" after this. I have no idea how they'll top it. This league has literally 1/10th of Breach that has to drop to be able to use and already i'm disgusted by it.

This was way, way, way back. The act 2 boss wasn't even implemented yet. Me and a couple other assholes actually managed to get top 1-5 on the ladder and my build was literally all damage sword duelist using something like fucking cleave because it was one of the few skills in the game.

Probably to reach for more players. Most casuals and normies were playing D3 at the time. Most casuals I tried to convince to play PoE back in the day hated PoE because it wasn't as graphically pleasing and the movement felt clunky. The "gotta-go-fast" meta appeals better to D3 players than the previous playstyle.

First of all, you need to narrow your search. You cant just grab everything and ID them. For me, I grab all accessories(rings, ammys, belts). Good ones can sell nicely and the shit ones go in my vendor recipe tab. Rings and ammys are pretty rare so always picking them is a good idea. The other things that I pick up are pure ES body armours and spirit shields.

After that is just personal preference. You can probably let your filter show a bunch of the high lvl base items(but arent mentioned above) like Bone Helmets and those gloves with implicits

I was just trying to make a point that he can take good examples from watching a lot of popular streamers with regards to building and game mechanics, its how most players first start to learn a game, and for good reason.

what I can recommend is mostly how I learned the game, and that is the following process:
1. look on the forums, the ladders, and pretty much anywhere else for interesting builds.
2. choose a build from that list of possible ones.
3. compare many different approaches to it.
4. be realistic about how much I want to play this build (you wont play all the builds you make up to lvl 93 or beyond).
5. use an offline planner https://github.com/Openarl/PathOfBuilding/releases to adjust the build to my needs and preferences.
6. continually discuss on the forums about potential changes to the build and read up on other player's experiences with them.


So yea, learn first by doing, then by thinking up on the things that you did right and wrong, and making them better next time.
