There are absolutely no stakes, because everybody already knows that it's a shitshow and nobody expects you to do well with every single hero that you roll. So you can do poorly to your heart's content in mystery heroes, and nobody will really notice, let alone flame you.
Also, the enemy team will have random, uncoordinated shit as well, so when you are using a hero you're bad with and you're being less than effective, it's not that big of a deal because the enemy team won't be able to punish your mistakes as easily.

Don't try to flank to get LE EPIC 6-KILL, it never fucking works and you're fucking over your entire team by leaving them a man down while you waddle your fat american ass into position

Getting 1-2 kills is fine, hell, even getting no kills with it is fine if you use it to lockdown areas and keep the enemy team from peaking you. You should be easily getting one every minute or so, so just throw them out whenever.

The best time to use it though, is right as your team engages in a team fight. This puts the enemy team in an extremely bad position if they've already committed to the engagement because they need to either quickly focus you (which will be difficult because -SHOCK- you stayed with your team instead of flanking) or they'll need to try and hastily disengage which should fuck up their positioning. Either way your team should hopefully be able to capitalize on this.

genji has gotten nothing but direct nerfs followed by indirect nerfs

he used to be a good flanker with good burst dps and a good ultimate that he could access often due to his quick ult build-up

now he's a pretty weak flanker with a pretty weak burst dps (unless you headshot literally every shuriken, which only really happens if someone is playing like a moron) and a neutered ultimate that he can access only sometimes

i agree that season 1 genji was fucking crazy good when played to even somewhere near its full potential but nowadays he just seems feels suboptimal. not outright bad, but there's no reason to pick him

Honestly, McCree's Ult is painful for beginners. It took me a few hours of getting killed mid ult and watching guys hide before actually landing it. You gotta land it while the team is distracted by your team. You shouldn't have to try hard to get into a flanking position to use it or you'll probably get interrupted. It's not a particularly versatile ultimate.

I think it detract, not because of the quality, but more that it wastes time. I don't see any extra space for romance in the story. Chu can barely churn out a 12 page comic every 3 months and the shorts come out only every few months too. I do not want any of them dedicated to a romance.

And no, I do not think it makes sense if there was a relationship between the cast. There was no problem at the beginning of the story when none of them had a relationship with each other. Remember the cast are all designed to be as self-inserty as possible. Casting them in a relationship like this (so not with a non character like emily) does detract from their self insert potential.

There's also the fact that the devs said there wouldn't be any romance between the characters and Chu clearly is breaking that rule, so its just annoying that he can't be consistent.
