There's a partial translation patch for Majin Tensei 1 on romhacking.net, but it's pretty buggy and the story isn't translated. IIRC, Gideon recently stated that one of his most wanted projects was Spiral Nemesis translation patch, but we all know that would take forever to happen.

I've played both games in Japanese (currently almost done with Majiten 2). If you know at least some basic Japanese (Kana, some Kanji), you shouldn't have much trouble playing those games. You can use fan websites and Google Translate for story, important events reference, best ending requirements, etc.

I think the one in the OP has the Orden patch, which is the best way you could play the game.

The patch probably fixed the worst bugs: although I have read posts saying that the game can glitch and level up a character to lvl 99.

Just use luster candy aswell, she doesn't have a reset buffs spel, or atleast she uses it very rarely.

You can't null her light because it pierces, but one or two guys with rp/nl/dr ice/wind can be usefull and try to have some dark or throw mundo stones at her otherwise you will have a 20-25 min fight like I did.
The fight is still mostly about the stat tug of war though.

And don't blame your dick, he is in the right from every angle, she's one of the most usefull and broken demons you can get even without minmaxing the fusion components, pierce light+dazzling light and alluring banter are just crazy.

You always want either debilitate or LC on any of your demons, bosses on apocalypse or even war are more about the buff/debuff meta than anything,
Don't be too concerned with weaknesses, most hard bosses have pierce on their asshole attacks anyway.

Also put Concentrate on there, if your demon is guaranteed to have two turns. you can always use concentrate on the second turn if nothing else is needed to be done.
