My guild just started Il'gynoth last night. Downed the other bossses.

We can get the heart to 47% but we can't figure out something for phase two. We run out and use hero on the two destructor tents.

By the time we get the blobs from both tentacles to the eye, we have corrupter tents spawning and fucking us up.

Tried doing it one by one but we fucked it up when the eye was at 20%

You aren't fast enough if the corruptors are spawning. You can either spread your healers around the spirit link and pray they don't get targeted by spew or have your non-execute DPS second pot on dominators to make sure you meet the DPS check.

If that still doesn't work you can kill them off in pairs and just chain healing CDs.

I have literally never played WoW before, but my friend bought me Legion because he wanted to RaF and I promised I level to 110 at least once.

Questions:
Personally I like decent balanced classes that have simplistic mechanics, but leave lots of room to min/max.

1. How are Mages, specifically Arcane? I want something kinda simple, and Arcane seems like a good balance between simplicity and fun.

2. What other RDPS would you recommend? I want to either be an RDPS or Healer (Preferably DPS)

3. Probably not going to be playing with my friend for raiding much (I want to play on a PvP server and he has a home already) Once I hit max level what steps should I take in order to get into a not fucking awful raiding guild for the next raid?

4. I have heard the Blood Elf racial is by far the best. Please tell me that its not a deal breaker to be something else. I fucking hate elves
