How tough is Stephen? I'm on war but I might switch to apocalypse soon. My demons are lvl 100 with good stats and at least 1500 health. I'd rather fight Stephen fairly than just abuse the dlc to make the fight trivial, especially if I farm HP.

You need a decent team setup, but you have the Hero team fighting along with you so the pressure is just to keep yourself alive. Did it on Apoc. at around lv 101 or so with a Matador/Cleo/Metatron team. He has a move that straight up does 5k+ unblockable damage so have backups or Invitation ready.

Party skill shit is spoil tagged in case you wanna see for yourself when you get there.

Aleph and Hero have moves to lower his resistances like YHVH's fight. Demi-Fiend has Deadly Fury (high crit phys pierce w/ no hit% penalty) and Freikugel (2x severe Almighty damage on Smirk). Flynn is the team doctor. It's honestly easy as shit if you just don't get unlucky and have Stephen focus down one dude at a time. Aleph/Hero have the Debil/LC skills of the Hero team. You need to use -kaja and -kunda stones for the Hero team since they don't have those spells. Aleph has a Magaon attack.

The DLC was pretty neat, and the reward was fucking nothing, so don't get your hopes up shitters.

You've got another section about the length of blasted tokyo and then comes 4-5 bosses before the alignment lock
the law/chaos routes don't take too much time but the neutral route will take longer and has more actual story content
you're iin the homestretch, just finish it so you can get to apocalypse, which fixes a good amount of the gameplay flaws in IV
smirk can get some real bullshit because it also increases dodge chance to 85% in IV on top of nullifying an enemy's weakness
for example, in IV:A smirk gets nerfed a bit in exchange for light/dark skills and certain skills of other types getting bonus effects on top of that, and you can choose your allies so you minimize the chance of randomly triggering smirk on your enemies, one companion in particular is great for this since he uses your magic stones from you inventory if he can find one that's strong against the enemy

Well, Demon is a generic term anyway, and some things you can fuse or recruit are odd cases. Tattooed Man is a "Demon" but you wouldn't know that just to look at him. He looks like a guy with a Katana. Course, you can fuse him with demons, etc.

Many of the other near human demons are more obviously "wrong" or undead. (Or not. Alice would totally be mistaken for human except for being creepy.)
