Because BlargSNES also lets you fucking use save states? It's just not the Nintendo Save State thing, just play any actual official Nintendo SNES VC inject and you will see what I mean.
And banner is literally the easiest thing to fake since it's basically a JPG and people tend to use it to make their stuff look legit.

Besides, the easiest way to tell is by simply trying to install on O3DS.
If it installs on O3DS, it means it's BlargSNES. You literally can't install Nintendo SNES VC stuff on O3DS.

The corruption, like I said, is either the sign of the card itself dying or simply needing a reformat.
Just follow my advice, make a folder on your desktop or whatever, copy the entire contents of the SD card to it, format the card, then move the stuff from the folder back to SD and you will be good to go.
If it's still fucked then, you will need to grab a new card.

You will want aoe spells for sure and you probably won't have too much issue with mana on bosses if they happen to be weak to your aoe.
I think recarm is pretty worthless as revival beads are not that expensive and if you are reviving out of combat you can have a demon do it for you. Get fang breaker/rakunda.

I'm about to start SJ but I've got a couple questions.

First of all, I know there's NG+ exclusive stuff.
If I download a complete save off GameFAQs, can I just start NG+ from that? And do you start NG+ from main menu or is it like Soul Hackers for example where you need to complete a dungeon and be "rewarded" with NG+ for completing it?

Secondly, does anything actually change in NG+ in terms of story or does it simply unlock the Demiurge quest and that's it?

Gateway is region locked for DLC and VC and you can't get around it, because unlike Luma, Gateway can't emulate region for those. That alone should be motivation enough for you to switch.
A9LH also has 100% brick protection, doesn't require Emunand and has much faster boot time.
If that + the prospect of selling your Gateway for some extra cash doesn't speak to you, then I guess you really don't care about it.
Also I did have a Gateway anon but I sold mine the second A9LH became a thing since it was free money at that point. Also A9LH doesn't use Emunand at all so I don't see why you wrote "all the other emunands/a9lh loaders" since A9LH is not an Emunand loader at all.

On NG+ you gain access to the right side of a certain sector that is the "ultimate challenge" of the game and also a boss rush mode, plus some broken apps like that one that removes random encounters. Overall: stuff from NG+ actually are FOR NG+, don't bother too much about it.

Strange Journey team was FuRyu, a diferent studio entirely, that was contracted by Atlus to make SJ under their guidance.

Well programming is important since that includes stuff like enigne and basically the entire game with how it works.
Atlus probably just supplied the art, the script and music.
Similarly with P4 Arena games where ArcSys did the core thing while Atlus supplied art, music and story.
Though ArcSys also did the char sprites for that.
