Holy fuck actually looking at his achievements a ton of achievements across multiple games miraculously "unlocked" on the same day and majority of them are extremely tough ones. It's not unlocked offline either as those unlocked offline are actually listed as being unlocked offline.

Just looking through his profile, he apparently 100%ed guitar hero world tour on the same day, got all of the firefight achievements in ODST and the vidmaster, got a bulk of moh airbourne achievements that were unobtainable and extremely difficult because of no population, got 75% of the achievements of Saboteur and the most difficult Halo Wars achievements.

Seriously how is this even possible? I knew a friend which could unlock achievements with his modded xbox but he said if he logged into live it would ban the account right away so it was pointless

For some things it's probably a Forerunner way to show off decadence or glamour or rank, that sort of shit.

For others it might be to impart a sense of technological advancement in which the floating pieces serve a purpose of some kind.

Compartmentalization might also explain some if it's on a ship or installation, or security/defense (more likely to miss if there's gaps). When it's on a soldier or combat construct it could serve to distract, or further protect vital areas of the body.

That's how I'd justify it anyway.

Here's how I explain it:

They were already towering 8 foot tall giants. Even with the "slim" design, they were fuckhuge. They didn't need to be any more fuckhuge, now they're basically elephants with all that weight and bulk.

Same reason why people like chief's new armor because it looks more like a "tank"

The guy was already 7foot tall and weighs over a ton, he was already a tank. Having slimmer armor just makes sense for combat, why would you want ragged edges and angles and added bulk

Except they don't. They're proportionally perfect. There's literally no reason "big hooves" is an issue when you've got a big alien, and it's never been a problem before.

H2A's Elites look nice but one of their biggest problems is the way their feet are designed. Bodily, they're decent (except for those little projections on the back), but in-game the boots have this oddly slapdash look, like the artists just slapped a metal plate on the bottom. They don't look flexible at all, which would be a necessity (imagine trying to run, in the middle of combat no less, with an inflexible pad glued to the bottom of your shoe).

They're reasonably proportioned, the problem is that some people would rather they be a bit more lithe overall.

I guess in the end it's all down to preference. I can appreciate both H2A and H4/5 designs for different reasons and I like the idea that canonically they're just different races of the same species.

My main gripe is that they didn't bother making Thel and the SoS look more like H2A, and Jul's Covenant keep the Halo 4 look.

A group of marines are called to a secret research facility on a planet, after the facility goes dark.

They enter to find the place quiet, not a sign of life. They move deeper into the facility, one of them hears a howl coming from far below.

They keep moving forward when something opens fire on them from across a room, using human weapons, they can see it's vaguely humanoid in shape but it escapes before they can decent look. one of them is wounded in the firefight and stays behind while the others investigate.

The rest of the marines eventually discover an unlocked computer that tells them what went wrong, a group of scientists found something on a derelict vessel and brought it back to investigate what it is.

As they uncover this, the guy they left behind gets attacked again, only able to tell them that it's not the covenant.

The rest of the team reach the research lab to find that the unknown force that took down the base was...The Prometheans.

Essentially The Legend of Tarzan with a Halo twist.

While conquering a planet during the heart of the human-covenant war, an elite comes accross a small human. His parents had been killed by ONI spooks during an insurectionist conflict that was occurring when the covies attacked.
The Elite, a well respected high ranking warrior, takes the child as his own, his wife not being able to bear children. The boy grows up within High Charity and trains with elites. He is never accepted as one of the covenabt, but when the high prophets learn of humanity's ability to interact with forerunner artifacts, he is given the option to prove his worth. He undergoes extensive medical treatment to enhance his reflexes, eyesight, and regenerative capabilities, but not to extent of say a Spartan, for the prophets don't want to potentially lose the human during the procedure. Plus, he has already been training with Elites all his life.
The human is sent on a number of long-term espionage assignments such as attending a human high school or UNSC training reserve outpost, each assignment lasting several months. Once he has the data he needs, he signals and the covies come down to pick him up, usually before he betrays his temporary "best friend" on each assignment. At the end of every mission, he is invited to watch the glass ing of the planet he infiltrated. After one mission, a stationed Spartan gives chase to the human after he regroup with the covenant. On the escape cruiser, the Spartan takes out most of the elite warriors on board including the original elite that took the human in. The Spartan is seriously wounded during this fight. The human holds his father figure elite while the life leaves it's eyes. Enraged, the human rushes the wounded spartan and fights. Despite being severely wounded, the Spartan holds its own, breaks the humans jaw, and several other bones, but not before the human in sheer wrath Steals the spartan's combat knife and

stabs the Spartan multiple times until it finally stops moving. The human then crawls, bleeding, towards his fallen elite, crying as he does, and passing out, bones broken and muscles shredded by the spartan, when he reaches the elites body, while other elites watch in awe. This news is enough to gain the full trust of the prophets.
The human, while in a coma, is given a full reproduction of the Spartan treatment, with various covenant advancements. He is later inducted to the covenant via a ceremony. Much of the rest of the plot occurs concurrent with the events of the Halo trilogy. Prominent characters include Tartarus, the Prophet of Truth, and Jul M'Dama.
With the end of the covenant, the human is approached by high ranking members of the UNSC and offered a full pardon of his crimes in exchange for information and Covenant intel. The human responds saying that Humanity has never done anything for him. That humanity tried to kill him as a child as it killed his human parents, and once again as it killed his Elite Father. He references the various human conflicts, stating that the human race was never anything but a mess, and that compared to the covenant, they will never know true unity. He is then executed by firing squad.

This would probably work better as a novel actually.
