Do they give you a goal to work towards and a sense of how much you've "completed" the game? Yes.

I think in theory a total conversion mod of, say, EU4 would be possible. Though it'd be pretty shit due to not being able to represent basic halo things like equally large-scale ground and space combat or even slipspace.

Hell, I'd love even a generic scifi gsg where there are premade space political entities and something of a history/timeline, and you play as one of those entities (there's actually a CK2 mod that does something like this, though it's fucking CK2 and I'm not sure if it's been updated). There was a hope for a while that Stellaris would end up being that, but nah, 4x is sooo much better right guise :DD

Though I think there's a pretty in-depth Halo mod for sins of a solar empire, don't have too much experience of that game but it seems decent enough to do halo space combat at least some justice.

I do perfectly fine on every other map but it seems like every game I play on Fathom I lose horribly.

I had been meaning to do that, but I kinda don't feel motivated to do it. My initial MCC play throughs were on medium just so I could get a refresh of the story, and it had been so long since I had played Halo. However, back when I did play, I did beat 1-3 on legendary with a friend, and I did beat H5 on legendary. Plus the glitchiness of achievements unlocking for the MCC has dissuaded me from going back.

I was speed running Reclaimer in 4 and I got on the Lich just as it was loading in from the mountains and shot the rocket inside but it didn't destroy the core. Went inside, fired all rockets, nothing. Hit the checkpoint while I was inside and now even leaving it and waiting for the grab lift to appear and reentering does nothing

I mean its not impossible, but sometimes when I would quit and save during the middle of the level, then go back and resume from the check point, when I finished the level, the achievement for beating that level wouldn't unlock for me.It happened to me for a couple of levels in H1. I think scoring was the only thing affected by saving and quitting which would make sense. If may also be affected by playing a level from 1 game, and then switching to another. Just do what you already know which is play levels all the way through without quitting out. I know when I went for monopolized I never had an issue with saving and quitting to try and get the best times.

Yes. Reach is only slightly less populated than 5. That's more of a bad thing for 5 than a good thing for Reach, but nonetheless you will not have problems finding matches in 5 UNLESS you're specifically going for DLC maps, because 343 removed the DLC playlists and everyone in a pre-game lobby needs to have DLC for it to come up as an option.

Regardless, yes, it's populated.

Plenty own it, but the problem is DLC won't come up as an option for voting unless everyone in the lobby has it. So if 11 out of 12 players in invasion have the noble DLC, breakpoint still won't come up because that 12th person doesn't have it.

But go in alone and you'll almost never see them.
