Rewards accumulate so 3 for each type, and no 4* motes are still fairly rare even in jp. Although our ifrit fight dropped a lot more motes so we might have it better.

For 15 stamina you can grind 1 metal gigantuar in the first floor, around 70k exp if you do all the battles, light and earth megacrysts, red megacites, various materials, and craft HP+15% materia which is decent enough. Plus, the bosses not being random and being able to drop up to 2 materials means that you will hardly need 20 runs to gather the materials for the recipe.

It is objectively better than the one from JP and really good unless you have something else more urgent to farm. If only the HP+15% costed less light megacrysts it would have been perfect.

HP +15% helps a lot against some of the tougher bosses later on and might even be necessary if you have squishier characters (particularly ones that don't have a 6*) and don't want to get shitfucked by the boss shitting out tons of aoe in a single turn. You can buy it from collection events too, but it's very expensive and those events come with lots of other goodies so now would probably be the best time to stock up on them.

The editing and camera work are pretty bad. The story is very frantic so you need to pay attention. Sometimes this will be hard to do considering the sound mixing is shit and it's hard to hear characters talk in certain scenes.

On the upside, it's fucking gorgeous to look at. A technical marvel, really. Music and action is great. And I thought the characters were decent.

Keep your expectations low, pay attention to the story, and I think you'll enjoy it.

Someone please for the love of Yevon, help my with Omega Ruins in FFX. I'm trying to grind so I can git gud and take on Sin. I haven't played this game in 12 years, and now I have the HD version and it's kicking my ass. It's been fine up until this point, but now I can barely move more than a few feet from the save sphere without risking a game over.

I have equipped everyone with stoneproof/berserkproof, got all the aeons, and fully upgraded the final weapons for Yuna, Rikku, and Auron. Trying to steal/farm musk to get confuse proof too.

How the fuck am I going to beat the game if I can't even make it a few steps from the sphere?

I've only beaten this game once and have no desire to do so again, but I'd barely upgraded any of my shit, my sphere grid was a mess and got my ass kicked by Jecht the first time around because my damage was absolute shit and I couldn't deal with the pagodas. Instead of grinding I just looked up where to get a couple of Supreme Gems with minimal effort and had Rikku toss those at the fucker. Probably could have cheesed that shit with some bullshit Mixes too. You're way over prepared.

If your issue is with the dungeon itself then just walk with first strike to avoid Malboros and silence buster / grenade on Demonoliths so they can't counter. No enemies besides those two should give you trouble, if they are giving you then try to grind outside a little bit more because the dungeon itself shouldn't be hard.

In any case I find Omega Ruins very bad to actually grind, the only worthwhile thing there are the mimics to get 100k ea with gillionaire, you don't need to really grind to finish the game and later on might as well just use the monster arena

It's a good AOE heal with Esuna. Unless you've got something better, you should make Y'shtola your main healer. Do Orb fest that's on right now and try to get strong abilities since they make quite a big difference between clearing harder difficulties.

How do I play catch up in JP?
I barely have enough stamina to finish events and I have jack shit for orbs. But cores are starting to give out 0-1 stamina shards.

Retaliate should do the job easily enough, seriously. Just use Shout as your RW if you don't have a Hastega and Advance if you do, and have everyone Double Cut/Tempo Flurry the shit out of the retaliator.

I could do fucking +++ fights with Retaliate back when I was a shitter that used it (and that was before Shout and with no Hastega), I'm not really sure what your problem is.

Make sure you have good mitigation and defense. The Shellga and Protectga will help tremendously but make sure you're using Power/Magic/Defence/Resistance Break as well. Having these at 6 uses each is great for fights. Apart from that, I use 3 star support abilities that give status effects like Venom Buster even if the boss is immune to them because they deal more damage than normal attack.

3 x Melee using the Break or Breakdowns if you have good hones + 2 support skills and 1 Healer and 1 Magic user is how I used to clear 99 difficulty easy with crap basic equipment. If you get a White Mage Record Materia II then you can use a Cure in between stages to top up low HP people.

Don't forget that if you have bad RNG from a boss hit, you can close the application and open it again to start the fight from the beginning.

And for your RW, you should always use a Wall unless you have one yourself.

A retaliated Double Cut is only a little bit stronger than a Double Cut multiplier-wise.
The idea is that you're supposed to stack your best ATK gear on the retaliator and give him a big ATK boost like Advance to deal all your team's damage, and everyone else can go in the back row or something because they won't be hitting the enemy directly.

I don't think Advent Children would have reviewed well by today's "critics" as well. Most of those guys are literal whose, lot of reviews I skimmed had "wait for the game to come out" except the movie is a prelude to the game and what have you.
