Barring the Maxishillion of today he was one of the few people in the FGC that put in work to get new players. If you look at the assist me series it was great for people completely new to fighting games and just wanted to play. Nowadays people will go it's shit and cancerous but the biggest problem the FGC has is if some normie comes up and says "How do I play ::insert game here::" they'll link them to some 2 page forum post with number notations all in basic text and say "Learn all of this". No one's got time for that but passing on basic information with a funny video in 10 min or less. Yea, they'll do that. But he stopped being informative around the time of Injustice so... ehh.

In general he's a likeable guy who has a passion for games so that

Biggest asset though: He knows how to market himself well. He's the face of KI, think about that for a minute and what that means. He spent so much time shilling that game that he got official support from Iron Galaxy and worked with them on relatively trivial shit. If you're entry level, you've seen a youtube video or even seen him commentating on stream (him teamed with Sajam had me feel so bad for Sajam, I kept offering him a wagon in chat, so he wouldn't have to carry the commentary by himself).

First don't play cpu's. and the spaghetti shit will fix itself over time. Focus on getting comfortable in matches, you can simplify your punishes at first and just focus on playing a good neutral (don't jump or throw fireballs unsafely, good pokes, anti air properly, BLOCK). If ranked scares you just make a lounge, that's what I did. It's nice to play against the same person for a while to actually learn and adapt to what they're doing.

idk it just won't teach you anything about reading your opponent or mixing it up. at higher levels it reads your inputs and reacts unlike a human would. The fun of fighting games is interacting with another human brain, you won't know the joy of getting thrown in the corner 3 times in a row, or of knowing they're going to panic dp and just holding down back. I'm a beginner too, Battle Lounges or asking for games here is where it's at. People are usually pretty nice.

Honestly, this on so many levels. If you start breaking down aspects of the gameplay instead of ramming them all together and expecting to know them all at once, it all begins to meld together and becomes muscle memory, allowing your brain to process everything happening much faster and be used for things in the match such as recognizing player habits, thinking ahead to what the opponent might do in a situation in order to punish them correctly, etc.

Once you can free your brain from thinking about combos mid match, the aspect and appeal of FGs becomes a lot more apparent and fun.

I was only asking about modding because the TE2+ is the easiest to mod right now.

HRAP4 Kai is light as shit. Honestly, I hate the stick because of how light it is. I personally don't enjoy the Hayabusa stick in it, and know many people who don't, but I also know quite a few who do enjoy it. The Kuro buttons can go either way; you either love them or hate them.

The TES+ is fine. It's similar to the old TE models. All Sanwa parts, which should suit anyone fine. It's a solid stick designer overall, and it feels nice honestly.

You also have the option of eTokki Omni at the $200 price point, which also comes with Sanwa parts. The case is nice as well.

I can't say anything for the Drone because I've never used it or seen one in person. Absolutely avoid the Hori Mini.

You could also go the route of finding a last gen stick for cheap, buying a UFB, and calling it a day. It would leave you somewhere around the 150$ or so price point depending on how much you paid for the initial stick.

Is an i5 6600K/GTX970 good enough to run SFV? When I run it I get a lot of slowdown.

I run SFV just fine on a i5 370k, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 660 Ti with no slowdown whatsoever.

The only time I ever see anything related to FPS drops is during menu or transition screens, but gameplay is completely fine.

What drivers do you have for the 970? I know people were having issues with later drivers, especially the shitshow of the Division drivers when that update was released.
