Does anyone else dislike upstab? The purpose of natives overhead swing is to fake out a) infantry/cavalry because no one expects a spear to get close range.
It can also one shot soldiers on single player with more range then upstab. Also, the standard jab motion can be aimed at the head which makes upstab useless.

So basically if you don't abuse a polearms range you are essentially a shitter.

It's the best mod out for quality of life improvements, but it also has a completely overhauled recruitment and training system that's pretty love or hate. You can't get recruits from villages and turn them into knights anymore. You can recruit high-tier units outright but at a very steep upfront cost and units can only upgrade to more skilled versions of themselves (Swadian Recruit upgrades to Veteran Swadian Recruit then Elite Swadian Recruit, which still has the same equipment as a Swadian Recruit). 8 days of continuous battle later, the siege of Rivacheg is still going on. Those lords that were fucking around outside Jeirbe Castle only waited 5 days before jumping in to help and it's now 544 defending against 1364. The Nords started out with over 2500. I'm not involved with either faction but this is fascinating to watch unfold.
