I was thinking about how perhaps it would be a good idea to not oversaturate the land with knights, and if they were used for lords, you could have them be much stronger than normal troops without it being glaring, being capable of matching larger monsters, which most human soldiers shouldn't be great at
I can imagine it now with knights running around leading their parties of men at arms fighting battles against monsters (some of which would be few in number but very strong, like the dos game) rival knights forces and roaming black knights
I think a big jump in quality between standard soldiers you'll recruit and knights and monsters should be there, to help keep that original sort of feeling, since in the best game it's just 1 knight fucking over monsters/dragon/other kniggas

On a different note, when you guys are roleplaying as loyal vassals what cities do you try to get for yourselves, right now I'm starting to consider transferring my character over starting up a new game and camping a Rhodok city until the swadians take it so that I can take the whole city and the surrounding towns awarding them to myself and then pledging my allegiance. Is this even feasible as a strategy? I'm kind of sick of having cities in the boonies or having to protects my Swadian territories every time my faction goes to war.

actually I lied, I just figured out a way to make faces consistent across scenes by randomizing dna before initializing the tavern and camp troops, storing the dna in an array based on the entry point that they will be spawning in, and then accessing that array by using the agent's entry point to ensure the dna for the next scene will be the same

However, the problem is that the dna actually contains the race data, and currently I have it so that nude bodies are set as a separate race. this means that when I change the troop's race before entering the next scene, it gets overwritten by the dna

For the sake of having consistent faces, I may just make it so that everyone is nude by default.

Alright, in the next version of dickplomacy people are going to be nude without armor by default, which (unfortunately) means no more underwear models and lots of erect looters and arena fighters/peasants

The reason being that it's the only way to ensure that faces stay consistent between scenes (i.e: the person you talk to in the tavern or camp scene is the same person as the one in the next scene)
