As a support player, mostly Lucio and sometimes Mercy, I'm constantly feeling fucked by the comp ranking system.
Winning a game gets me a third to a half of a bar, while a loss always counts a full bar, so despite a 2.5:1 WL ratio I'm still consistently deranking, down to 40 from my start of 50.

What do I do?

Probably should've said I just wanted a ladder instead. If you do see any games around 50 plus minus 5 ranks everyones "average" sure, but there are some really shit players there that are far worse than others. You still see so many level 25-30s who have no idea what some heroes do yet because the placements do a really poor job.

At least if they did use a ladder I could feel confident knowing these people are at least somewhat close to my skill level (good or bad). Not a random picking from 60% or something of the playerbase who vary in skill massively.

Hitting an enemy with his hatchet/melee knocks off pieces of scrap, which he picks up. Each pickup converts to 25 armor 300 health cap and adds to a scrap reserve. Can only knock off scrap once per second per enemy

Hamstrings target, slowing them. If he has 50 scrap in his reserve then he roots them in place and the slow affects all enemies within a radius. Collecting scrap reduces this cooldown by .5 seconds for ever scrap pickup

He would be able to dash around for a second, root someone in place, and then open up with his meme beam while they are rooted

I would like to share some tips to wreck matches as Roadhog for the aspiring Roadhog players out there, feel free to correct any mistakes or add your own!

>your hook is king, first 10 hours of playing him will be filled by mostly learning to hook. get good with it
>learn the range of your RMB, it's very deceptive but amazing at poking
>hold your left click as your hook hits and pulls someone, there won't be any lag between landing and shooting and there's no hero in the game that can react fast enough to it.
>bread and butter combo is hook,LMB,melee attack. learn to time between LMB and your melee
>if executed properly. BnB combo should instantly kill anything with or under 200HP, even with mercy heal or zennyata's orb.
>always have at least one other teammate to ravage your victim in case you failed to kill
>if you're being flanked by a reaper, don't panic. hook + shot followed by pressing E should make him panic unless he's not a pussy and aims for headshot all day
>you have one of the least useful ult in the game, use it to finish off low health enemies in a tight spot, not to duel other hero 1v1, also you're horribly exposed to shots
>stick together with your teammates, a lone Roadhog is a dead Roadhog
>always put priority for hooking if the enemies are grouped, it goes from support>squishies>tanks
>you can hook turret bastion! but your combo won't be enough to finish him off
>always, aways try to have fun even if your teammates play worse than you
