Who's the statue lady hidden away through most of the cathedral, /dsg? This one's behind an altar of the deacons, almost all the rest are covered in red tarps.
The only ones not covered up are right outside the boss room.

All things considered, I would guess the cathedral used to at least partially worship Rosaria before shit turned all evil, so now she's just sort of hidden off to the side and her statues are covered up since everyone worships Aldrich now.

Uchigatana has been carrying me through this whole game. Almost switched to Winged Spear or Eleonora at one point, but Titanite is too sparse. Also, the starting Sorcerer Staff is pretty much the best. I wish DS3 didn't give away all the best stuff at the start.

It seems weird, because grubs aren't what I would call super intelligent. A couple are smart enough to use staves, and they're smart enough to know how to hide on walls.

But other than that they seem pretty dumb, and the church themselves don't even seem to like them since a bunch of the grubs are pinned to walls.

So i just got around to playing DS3 and just finished it. Overall it was quite fun, definitely as fun as the first. Way better than the piece of garbage DS2 was anyway.

At least frenzy can be cured with sedatives, and all the Winter Lanterns have besides frenzy is a pretty easily avoidable grab attack. Whereas health reduction you just have to deal with no matter what, and they even reduce your fucking max carrying weight.

Plus Jailers move at fuckin sanic speed and block your estus if they hit you, and they attack you in groups whereas you never have to fight more than one Lantern at a time (except I think one time where you fight two?).

Yeah jailers were on my annoying list. They're not too bad by themselves because they're easy to kill. That big room full of them though was absolute cancer due to their retarded effect.

I also hated dragon peak, it just a shit zone in general. Ugly area, snake mobs were annoying as fuck, tedious dragon that jumps down, then to top it off unnamed king was for me by far the worst boss fight. All of his attacks have such a ridiculous long range and wide arc, hard to read so hard to dodge.

You're better off just letting frenzy pop then using two blood vials. The sedatives should have given you a brief period of immunity, but they don, so that shit just starts filling again instantly, and the sedatives cost more than two blood vials.

You don't have to deal with the health reduction. Just bait them to a door. If you are out of line of sight -> not health reduction. When they get to the door, knock them down (tapping R2 on the AGS is what I used). If they are knocked down -> no health reduction.

Meanwhile, frenzy will keep filling even after the dolls are dead.

I think putting so many lothric knights in the starter area of the game was a bit too harsh. The spear ones in particular are absolute faggots most of the time. They turn quite fast so backstabbing is not easy, they hide behind a shield for 20 minutes and they usually hyper poise armor attack the moment you go near them so you can't just kick the shield down.

So, I beat Pinwheel, and exactly as I expected, he gave me the Mask of the Mother, the worst mask. What the fuck? Can I get the other masks later on somehow?

Invaders are too strong already. I'm on a character that isn't finished and getting invaded by an min max twink using a halberd.

There's not much I can do 1v1 when they invade me at the same time as an npc invasion and I have to be careful of all the mobs as well.

I just did a little testing with it, killing guaranteed sippy enemies, and it seems that the refill-on-kill favors whichever type of estus you have in majority. For example, I had 1 Sunny 6 Ashen allotted, drank my Sunny to 0, and drank down 2 Ashen, and got back 2 Ashen for killing Hodrick.

Also randomly have been getting Ashen back on kills instead of Sunny, even when Sunny is at 0, when I have majority Ashen allotted.

Doesn't prove anything but it seems that replenish-on-kill favors whichever Estus type you have allotted in majority.

Should check what tends to happen when I have it evenly balanced.

I miss BB a lot, and especially in this aspect. Fashionborne is as easy as picking out the four pieces you want and what weapons you're using, and the general feel of a character between BB and DS3 isn't any different other than that it's easier to figure out the build in BB. If heavy armor vs fast rolls were an actual choice maybe it would feel different but it really isn't and instead I feel like there's just another hurdle to making the characters I want with the armor I'd like them to have.
