I used to play and enjoy Rohan Online. Looking back on it now, I feel nauseous with the ugly graphics. But the gameplay is fine.

They had this ridiculous minigame where the trash equips can be used as bait for fishing, and you end up getting either silver, chance of better equips, or chance to catch a fish which is somewhat equivalent to talt. A comfy minigame and takes away the stress from too much grinding.

WoW stole the idea and took all the credit because of popularity. in won a few game of the year awards in 2006. the game doesnt get enough credit for what it was in V6. it only started going to shit after V9. i mean V7 was was questionable, but it was still a pretty good game. after V9 there was no more questioning how awful the game was getting tho.

No, that's not true. It's a matter of highschool physics.

By going around opposite to the trap's spinning direction, you're increasing the total effective angular speed(trap's angular speed + your own angular speed around the trap), doing more hits.

By getting closer to the trap, the angular speed does not increase. It's the tangential speed that goes down. Being closer to the center means you have a shorter distance to travel per-revolution, but because the angular speed is the same, it takes the same time to go around.

Think like this: Does the inner part of a wheel spin more times than the external tip of a wheel? Of course not.

Well I mean I guess if I'm calculating, then I shouldn't have asked, but if my fireballs do, say, 2153 with the dagger equipped and do say, 2000 without the rod and arde, then the extra hit would make it 20000 + 2000 instead of just 20000 + 1530.

It doesn't seem like there's a reason to use arde if my fireballs can hit for more than 1530 while using the staff.

Regarding the broom trap, I forgot to add something.

Moving in circles around the trap, you could theoretically get more hits by running around the trap opposite to it's spinning direction by being closer to the center. Having a shorter trajectory means you'd get more revolution around the center, and thus a higher angular speed = more hit.

However, monsters will not follow you by tracing the same trajectory your character is doing. Also, making circles too small means they'll eventually catch up to you and take a swing, forcing them to stop and lose all angular speed.

The best solution: Make monsters chase you in a circular fashion around the Broom Trap, by going around opposite to the trap's spinning direction, and keeping monsters closest to the center, but not so close that they'd cross over the origin, or stop moving.

As for whether damage is a f(r), someone would have to test that. I don't believe that's the case.

I can't calculate it now, but I think the extra matk*10 will outdo the extra one hit.
