200 DEX, the rest in STR (114). As for how long, that depends on your dedication. For me, I rushed for R7 and reached Templar in 2-3 weeks, purely on cards. When out of cards, I'd explore high level maps. After that, I did missions and mercenary requests every day and level up at least once per day.
Had I dedicated more time to grinding in Evac/Storage/Maven, would've been 3-4 levels a day instead. I get burnt out easily after 1 hour of non-stop grinding.

Male characters should either be clothed either practically (heavy armor for defensive classes, leather with protectors like hunter etc) or respectable like Wiz M. Necro M is somewhat respectable.
Sorc F at least has good looking dress which makes up for stuff that makes her look like whore. Also it isn't that awful because fem characters with a bit of body look good. I think that Swordsman has a pretty small amount of variety as well. More than Wizard, most likely, but in the end half the classes you choose restrict you from choosing the others. You take Hoplite and you can't take Doppel2 or Fencer. You take Rodelero or Pelt3 and you can't take Corsair unless you're Lolipan. Fencer is mutually exclusive with Cataphract and Dragoon as well. Cataphract is mutually exclusive with basically everything, and Corsair / Dragoon are mutually exclusive.
You HAVE to take Peltasta. There are no alternative builds. It's not like Cleric C2 where you can do whatever you want as long as you take it. Peltasta is mandatory, and every build without it is bad because you're not fulfilling the single purpose Swordsmen have.
The potential Swordsmen builds are so narrow. Especially when one of their fucking R7 classes is worthless Templar, and Dragoon isn't great to begin with, so it's not even like Wizard or Archer where all you have to do is take Warlock or Musketeer / Cannoneer and you'll be fine.

It seems I discovered a glitch with reversi.
If you reversi an enemy's aoe debuff while you or an ally is standing on it the debuff becomes permanent.I was seeing perma debuffs all the time on my thaum and only now I noticed it was me causing them.

The only classes which have skills that work with everything are Swordsman, Barbarian, Squire and Doppel1. The rest forces you to focus mainly on 1 type of weapon so you either build your char mainly around that weapon or you're unable to use majority of your skills. Only some buffs work.
In the wizard tree on the other hand you can use any skill so it feels like shame to not have X skill. Swordman at least wouldn't be able to use it anyway/it'd be hassle so it doesn't feel that bad.

That's literally is flat damage reduction.
If you have 100 defense and an attack does 100 damage before modifiers, the attack will do 1 damage (because this game doesn't allow for 0 damage).
Defense is reducing the damage you take by a flat number.
If you don't reach that threshold it'll reduce the damage you take by the amount of defense you have.
