Was it really as bad as everyone said? For some reason i find myself looking bad on it fondly. It had some really good moments like Huey's Trial. Yeah, it wasn't perfect (empty open world for one thing) but is the only reason its so reviled is because it was hyped to be the best game ever made or because its genuinely bad?

Ok, disregard the story and memes and shit, but how the fuck did ANYONE survive Sword Art Online?
Can you even name a single MMORPG where you can clear all the content from start to finish without suffering a single death WHILE LEARNING the game?
It's possible in a game like Phantasy Star Online to go without deaths, as it's done all the time on the private server that has a "hardcore" permadeath mode, but this is not accomplished without prior knowledge of all the game's ins and outs.
World of Warcraft's world PVP and often unforgiving gameplay would be impossible to survive at all for some classes, and forget doing raid content wipeless.
I know it's just an animu, but come on.

The game came out of nowhere and I've been playing it for two hours, now, it's pretty amazing.
It's a roguelike twin stick shooter where you have to manage a budget, customize your loadout and plan how you're going to take down the defenses systems of derelict capital ships.

I have to say the game gets alot more interesting after the crowl/horror part, opens up alot with something like 10 different areas immediately accesible and it's all more high fantasy compared to the previous somewhat depressive region.
