Video games were forever changed in 1998 with Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid. My favorite franchise is Metal Gear Solid, it had great gameplay but the story is what compelled me to finish the game. The Last of Us was the best game last gen, it follows in MGS blueprint by seemlessly blending Story with gameplay. You don't have to enjoy these games but please don't put down or devalidate other people's taste. Story and gameplay are equally important to me in single player games

There shouldn't be any blood splatters at all. Not only the knife is corking the entrance, but the floor splatter looks like she just shat a bunch of blood, and the ones in the walls look like she got slashed and blood sprinkled in linear patterns.

Dice rolls are a meme problem, the real reason why Morrowind's combat is shallow is fuck is that you have no options but to just mash the attack button. Blocking is automated, you can't really dodge, there are no special moves. If the weapon has a big damage range you get to hold and click the button instead.
