There's a spinoff game about Yukimura's life and the Sanada clan called Sanada Maru.
Since it spans his whole life, he has designs that represent varying states of it.

Starlight Vega is an entry-tier short Western VN. Can't say it's great, but for its price it's fine, and you can see for yourself if yuri VNs are up your valley. I'm also pretty sure there's a torrent for it by now. Wouldn't recommend starting with Flowers, as it's a work in progress, and the localizing company isn't known for being quick with releases. Kindred Spirits is fairly long but linear, and it's considered to be a solid VN despite its generic school setting. Probably the best finished product we've had in years when it comes to VNs. Also a pretty good starting point, since it doesn't go overboard with weird stuff or mindfucking.

Alternatively, if you're interested in games that are 90% sex and 10% prelude to sex, you might consider Sono Hanabira series.

Then there are games that aren't "yuri" per se, but have f/f relationships in them (or the potential to form one), like Stardew Valley with its same-sex marriage or Life is Strange (>inb4 Western shit). These tend to have more gameplay than VNs.

Finally, if you don't mind RPGMaker games, Embric of Wulfhammer's Castle is tons of fun. Although you will have to rely on a walkthrough to get to all endings, and the art quality in CGs varies wildly.

Has anyone else played Mystic Messenger in here? If you haven't, you should check it out. It's mainly an otome game that plays like you're talking to the characters through a phone messanger app, but it has an actual gxg route, well, nothing as explicit as an "i love you" is said, but its heavily hinted several times that what you and that girl feel is more than just friendship. Worth a check if you're looking for something to play on your phone.

I constantly play otoge, and when theres a yuri route, if ever, it usually feels exactly like that. X girl realizes Y guy is not into her so after you're nice with her a couple of times, she's now over the guy and really into you for some reason.

This is one of the times where the relationship feels quite natural to be honest. She's afraid of opening up to people or displaying enthusiasm for something because it constantly gets taken away from her and no one is really able to tell something is wrong with her since she never speaks about her feelings. Honestly, if you don't do her route, her character barely develops.

I set myself to Nao almost immediately, but landed in the Houkago ending because I didn't use a walkthrough and was too stupid to collect enough points for any of the girls. Then I landed in her bad ending because goddamnit, I wanted to forgive the imouto despite all the horrible shit she did. Then I just hit the walkthrough and played through Kaede, Itsuki, and Sakuya.

Nao's route is the only one I've replayed. I still can't get the "Onee-chan" in my head, almost 6 months later. I fear she has turned me into a siscon.
