If you want to lose some faith in humanity you can read the positive steam reviews for it. In a way they remind me of the 10/10 Elfen Lied reviews back in the day. Several people praised it for slapping them in the face with reality or making them mad, I assume they were referring to the "Surprise, your girlfriend is fucking a dude! In front of you too! And she doesn't love you!" ending.

Doesn't look like it had too many sales though, it took days for reviews to pop up and there were not very many. Of course you would have to compare that to how much it took to make it to determine if it was successful or not though.

There's been plenty of games that have shown how tacking on additional characters or routes leads to drops in quality. To say nothing of developers being overly ambitious and trying to do to much with limited resources.

If you make it both yuri and futa you have to pay for twice as many CGs and write twice as many sex scenes and possibly have twice as many voiced lines or even change entire routes, and the end result for someone who is only interested in one of those things is that nothing of value was added, but they still have to pay for the whole package and be reminded that all the girls have schrodinger's dick. In your example the player could just play both routes since if it is just "girl a or girl b" there is no reason to avoid one.

Some people already don't buy/play otome games with 4 guy routes and a girl route because they don't want to pay for something they will only enjoy a portion of, and it's obvious which routes are going to get more budget and time put into them so for a lot of people it isn't even worth the effort to torrent them. In the same way, having something be both yuri and futa but choosable doesn't exactly inspire confidence when it comes to the quality of the yuri side.

Well, Ikuhara said in the interview that there are lots of things in yuri genre that he can only pretend to understand. Kek. So he wanted to work together with Morishima. That's pretty bad, honestly. Especially compared to games with better graphics, like Witcher 3, where I get stable ~50FPS on medium-high settings with GTX 760.

Also, people seem to be having different experiences with the game even with pretty much the same configs. Somebody with i7, 16GB RAM and GTX 1070 has stuttering and FPS drops on low settings, another person with i7, 16GB RAM and GTX 1070 doesn't. Some people are seeing improvements with the recent patch, other people don't or even have it worse now.

Interestingly enough, a lot of people complaining about performance issues in Dishonored 2 have GTX 1070.

There's been nothing official yet as far as I can tell, but Love, Guitars, and the Nashville Skyline was localized by the same studio that localized Ne No Kami and like for Ne No Kami there's a $5 price difference between the Steam and Denpasoft versions. It seems this is how Sekai Project handles the 18+ games they localize now. Negligee on the other hand is by a totally different studio.
