Even if you don't understand anything of what's going on (and it's hard to, since the plot to every single one of his movie is extremely linear and simple except for Inland Empire) the ending of each movie I hope would give you at least emotional closure. If you think that his movies have open endings then you're probably worrying about stuff like "the lore" of Lost Highway in which case I suggest you stop, his more avant garde films (LH, MD and IE) are about the human mind and the human condition, the ending of each film brings each of the main characters' arcs to a close where they either make peace with what they've done, kill themselves or keep living in a fantasy world, the imagery in them isn't meant to set up mysterious transdimensional spirits like twin peaks so you aren't missing out on plot by not having an explanation on what it rapresents, it invokes whatever it is for you
Eraserhead is more akin to a moving painting since it mostly deals with one theme and its ramifications
The other movies all have a linear narrarive with a beginning middle and end so I don't even know what the fuck you guys are always on about Lynch's stuff never having an ending
