You have to be kidding. There's a cracking point in Season two - I think it's Audrey walking in the Hotel - where I realized that the whole show has gone to shit. You already know when you see who directed the episode that it will be utter shit with nothing significant happening at all. It becomes completely unwatchable. I watched these episodes but I skipped through a lot of the boring dialogues and continued watching the last few episodes with the hike to the mountain.

This morning, I dreamed I was in a city but there were also green hills around and I was walking from one building to another at night with some weak street lights around. There was Kyle MacLachlan dressed as Mr. C and a few other people around that I didn't notice a lot. I managed to talk to him and he was really sympathetic, so I asked him to say some lines in a Mr. C style. He actually said some of the lines and afterwards, we were coming near another building where he would go in. So I went on to compliment him on the way he acts out Mr. C and I really took an effort into explaining how the character is 99% pure evil, but with a remaining bit that is sort of - and I was gesturing a "gusto" sign saying these things, you know, that italian gesture to emphasize things - sort of a remaining bit that is cool in a way or somehow impressive, still ... although Mr.C is an evil motherfucker. And at that point in my dream, I lost him and he became bored. We were talking sort of casual stuff before, but now I've gotten too much into that fanboy thing and he lost interest in the conversation. Then I woke up.

When I first watched the first 4 episodes, the tone, pacing and sketchy special effects threw me off (which is not to say I wasn't also pumped all the way in). It took me a couple of rewatches to actually appreciate the genius of it all.
