It can be interpreted as part of Leland's consciousness. One of the major motifs of FWMM is that Leland wasn't entirely innocent. In a way he coped with his actions by assuming that Laura knew what he was doing, and was almost complicit herself. When he learned that she thought it was BOB doing this to her, he ripped them out in rage. Hence why he told her in the traincar, as he was showing her the pages, that he always thought she knew it was him.

Why are there so many people still confused about the location of the Fat Trout trailer park and Deer Meadow? Someone in the last thread even had a post saying "Richard was driving through Oregon" for some reason.

Deer Meadow is not in Oregon. It's in Washington. I have no idea why the Twin Peaks Wiki even gets this wrong. Sam Stanley mentions that it was a 200something mile drive to Portland from Deer Meadow. The trailers in Fat Trout all have Washington plates. The only thing that was in OR-EE-GON was the secret airport.

Basically, Lynch thought Twin Peaks was done with FWWM and he wanted to give Laura an happy ending.
When he knew he could make a new series in 2015, he just disregarded FWWM 'cause he wanted Sheryll Lee to be back, that's basically it

At this point I don't see Coop coming back until maybe the final few minutes of the season (and the show as a whole).

Basically the "plot" is defeating BOB/Doppelganger who had 25 years to set up convoluted ways of not getting dragged into the black lodge. And he's like 20 steps ahead of everyone.

I see Dougie bumbling around for the whole season until MIKE successfully navigates him to Twin Peaks and/or towards BOB and then they somehow mutually annihilate and we get a big cheesy burst of light and Coop steps out says one or two quick-fire lines like he used to do and then the end credits roll.

Dougie uncovered a huge fraud orchestrated by the employee he called a liar in the previous episode. A midget assassin is now after him for unrelated reason. When he shows up at his office, either he or his boss will outbox him and for some reason it's the fraudster colleague who will get the icepick to the forehead for some reason.

Hawk found missing pages from Laura's diary talking about Bobby's drug deal and Coop. The Bobby stuff will be swept away, but that will prompt the stuff that's written about Coop will stew in Hawk's mind until Albert reaches up to him. Around the same time, the hotel keychain will arrive, and Hawk will be contacted about that.

Don't really remember the rest.

The actual story that I've read regarding this was that the original version had no salvation, but the toll that this role took on the mind of Laura's actress, Sheryl Lee, was so great that Lynch wrote it in just for her own sake. She writes about it in her autobiography, and several actors have commented on it, but she became so close to the character of Laura Palmer that the original ending actually had a super devastating effect on her. She complained to Lynch how there should be hope in life and that Laura deserved a saviour, and he felt bad for her.

Coop was told not to get killed and to wake up. He does that work he was given and exposes the corruption of the other insurance guy he called a liar. Coop's work looking random but we learn he is connecting all the dots of the corruption.

Wife finds out he was sleeping with another woman and goes to pay off the debts and tells the loan sharks to fuck right off. She tells the two men to stop being fucking more evil than the world is right now.

Ike "THE SPIKE" is given orders to kill the woman and Coop. In his ice pick attack, he breaks his weapon. I think this means Coop is safe since the window of time that was open to kill Coop is now closed. Coop has been seeming to wonder randomly through the world but MIKE and other forces out there need Coop alive. The random events are kind of random but are thrown at coop to keep him alive.

-Twin peaks-

Drug kid watches a magic show and is kind of scared but mostly pissed off because he was disrespected despite being a nobody. They are going to peddle more drugs into the town.

Drug kid doesn't give a fuck and runs over a kid. We see the kid's soul leave his body through the old man's eyes. The old man might be from the one of the lodges. I think he might be connected to the white lodge and tried to reassure the mother her kid is now in heaven.

Hawk figures out the clue the log lady told him, an Indian head coin lead to him finding the Indian door manufacturer and some lost pages to something. I'm pretty sure they are apart of Lara's diary. The lost pages.

Agent (i forgot his name at this time) goes to a bar to meet a woman.

A good part of Lynch's appeal is that he's unpredictable. But everything has to be judged by "does it work". Some of the worse part of the new series is reheated stuff from the old one, because those parts just feels dead and there's a Weekend at Bernie's feel to them. But that doesn't mean that a series that is supposed to be a followup from an earlier one shouldn't have the same "feel" to it, or at least connecting threads.

Carl Rodd mentions that he's going "into town" from the trailer park, and Richard Horne, who we've seen in Twin Peaks before, runs over a kid on the same intersection that MIKE yells at Leland's car in FWWM. It's in Washington and not very far away from Twin Peaks. Why would Richard Horne be meeting that dealer in Oregon, especially when the meeting was about running drugs through Canada?

Bobby was probably the most nuanced character in the original series and even then he basically only had three layers. The top layer is the bad boy jock, the second is the deeply conflicted young man who has no direction, the third is that he has much more in common with Leo than Shelly wanted to admit. That's probably one more layer than a character in a real soap would ever get, but you're giving too much credit to the original series and not giving this one the time to develop.

They likely filmed the scenes out of order, so it's just your imagination. Dougie may be portrayed as slowly "waking up", but the acting quality is just the same. It's very interesting to see other actors interact with him though, especially Nanaimo Watts.

Every episodes has been asking questions, but very few have been answered yet. The fact that the diary pages have been found might be a hint that we're getting into act two. When Coop boxes Ike the Spike and had flashbacks of the Man from another place which make him snap back to reality, the season will really get in gear.

Season 2 lost it's way. That's one of the danger of making it up as they go. It can create really organic, interesting and unpredictable stuff, but if suddenly you make a wrong turn you can just hit a wall.
