Is Assembly Square worth its price?
Gonna be getting Parisian Cafe soon and I was thinking about saving up for that one, though the roof situation on the green building and the price have me reconsidering.
Looks like there will be a husbando counterpart in the Volcano set.
Thanks for these little fuckers, LEGO.
you will not regret it, anon, it's absolutely beautiful
Do you guys like Mobile Frame Zero mechs?

Reminder that we've never got these licenses in LG DM:
There are some interesting tidbits revealed regarding the development of Dimensions and some cancelled plans according to a source in TT Games. Regarding his credibility - he's been trustworthy in the past. Obviously I'd take this all with a grain of salt though.
The patch update released recently removed the exact amount of Gold bricks that would be found in a Story Pack, which was stated to have been a cancelled Minecraft Story Pack with Steve.
How to Train Your Dragon was considered very early even before year 1, but third parties weren't interested.
James Bond was pitched as not just Dimensions but a full game, and a mockup trailer was made, but it was considered too adult for Lego and replaced with Mission Impossible.
Avatar, Despicable Me, Looney Tunes, Universal Monsters, Tom & Jerry, Godzilla, The Smurfs, Thunderbirds, Tintin, Angry Birds, and Shrek were some IPs considered, but most of the third parties were not interested.
Also,Despicable Me was going to have Lego sets too but Universal picked Mega.
>Harry Potter is back
Great,now we need LotR back.
>MFW,we'll never get: James Bond,How to train your Dragon,Universal Monsters,Godzilla,Shrek,Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes
I'm curious if they were going to release The Jetsons and Flintstones. Man,what licensed theme would you guys want?
i'm willing to bet the Universal Monsters packs would have been based on the new Dark Universe thing they're trying to start, so probably trash. i would kill for lugosi/karloff era universal monsters sets.
>Night Shift Nurses
A man can dream [toylers]about all those great torso prints that would be ruined by having exposed flesh-tone skin[/neverinlife]
I've been playing a lot of MFZ with a friend of mine lately. We wrote up some rules for a solitaire mode as well, but the base rules are solid on their own. I like all the bots you've posted.
I don't think that Mega would gave up on the license...
>Cartoon Network Classics CMF and Hanna-Barberra CMF
Yes please! The CN CMF could have Cow and Chicken,Dexter,Ben 10,Johnny Bravo,Courage,Billy and Mandy,Fosters House,Ed Edd and Eddy and the HB CMF could have The Jetsons,Flintstones, etc.
>no minions legos
That's a good feel. It'd be easy, too. An astromech body and head with a studded peg and round tile in the side for an eye...thankfully it won't happen.
>That's a good feel. It'd be easy, too. An astromech body and head with a studded peg and round tile in the side for an eye...
Actually, from what I know these were the style prototypes Lego showed first to Universal, they didn't like them.
Bootfigs are always great for horror stuff
>I hope it comes back.
Black Boar (which has been turned into a ram bc I didn't like to use that shape for a boar)
Latest pic of black ram
Totally forgot to mention that Bison can take up to 6 pilots, thus explaining why it's so fat af. Finding the right balance between looks, stability, playability and transport capacity was pretty difficult.
Angry Birds? Scooby Doo? what's next, Bejeweled and Fish Police?
fuck that dumb shit
But it makes them money and the parts flood bricklink for cheaper than buying full sets so I'm not really complaining.
There aren't even rumors about that show except that it's been on hold for a while.
And figure out a way to fire all of them at once.
>I don't think that Mega would gave up on the license...
It wouldn't even be Mega's decision. Lego lost the license because they weren't willing to do enough custom molds.
> The CN CMF could have Cow and Chicken,Dexter,Ben 10,Johnny Bravo,Courage,Billy and Mandy,Fosters House,Ed Edd and Eddy
Just the shows you listed would require a minimum of 13 characters (counting only the 1-3 protags) It's nice to dream, but that's ridiculous.
Mega is more willing than lego to make POOP custom molds for licenses. That's why they get so many licenses. Lego doesn't want to spend infinite money on retooling for every line.>>6502502
Did you feel them up or just grab them? I'm tempted to go get some, but I don't even know which ones I still want.
yea I probably stood there for like 15 minutes trying to get the ones I wanted. The two I wanted the most were the sushi chef and n-pop girl. I also got Garmadon, Master Wu, shark army great white, and Cole
Damn, these are pretty cool. I've always wanted to make a mini mech but I always end up trying to make it look too detailed. It turns out messy and larger than the size I initially wanted.
Also, does anyone have pic related as physical pieces? Would the goggles/visor be able to fit onto the clone helmet?
Here's a ship I'm building. Minigig for scale. The entire ship has a one huge internal compartment for fun. It's 12 pounds and I still have a lot of work to do. Give me that autistic review. More pics if needed.
Lavender spacemoped is finished! This one ended up looking kind of like a beetle. Just like the Light Aqua one, it's very swooshable but hard to photograph because no angle really presents a flattering profile.
I liked how I was able to use some cleaning brushes as vents.
That makes two, so now I just need to gussy up the red moped and tweak these two once I look at the images I posted for a few minutes and I'll have a whole hoverklocki gang.
>Still very bummed the clip on the underside of my Light-aqua vespa broke.
Sounds like a good excuse to superglue on a small plate or whatever to make building with it a little easier.
I just wish I could have gotten more sand green onto it, HECK 3X10 WEDGES.
Originally the tail wasn't magenta (the seat was), but this worked out since it's a little closer to the blocking I wanted.
Yeah, I don't mind if people enjoy licsenseshit in the privacy of their own homes, but when the first 50 posts of the general are autistic screeching then it's a little out of control.
Star Diamond has done Kung Fu Panda, and Cobi has done Penguins of Madagascar
Did you get a bunch of those Rebels scavengers on deep clearance and then got sucked in beyond all hope of return? Did you switch all the sibling's pants around to make new characters and made up an elaborate family tree? Are you me, maybe?
needs some work, but looks good so far
May want to try some parts forming when it transforms so the animals can look better on their own. No the best way to do it, but it would be easier
Okay /lg/ I finally moved, but I've acquired more stuff between my last post and now. What should I build?
Aaaaand here is the third hovermoped!
This one was a lot easier to make because I have a lot more pieces in Red than Lavender or Light Aqua.
This was a lot of fun to make these.
I think it has a cute profile. Looks like some kind of fat fish.
I'll probably find lots of things wrong with these tomorrow.
>Is the person who made that painting of basil the batlord kicking ass around? Would you take a commission?
Sorry for the late reply, I just had my birthday! Yes I do commissions, please send me an email with a description and your budget.
If anyone else here is also interested to get their figures or models to be immortalised by me in digital paint format, that email is the best way to get ahold of me atm.
These guys inspired me to make some of my own. They live on the moon, so I call them Moonimals.
What do I have to get a naboo ship in any form, Lego? It doesn't even have to be chrome at this point but these ships deserve a set for pete's sake!
Probably going to replace the lower legs on the bigger one (and the face, of course), but I like how the upper legs and lower body turned out.
The rack piece as horns works really well. They're very cute.
I really like the hoverklocki you've been doing as well, particularly the angled thrusters.
Where is the proofs
I don't give a shit about the book/movie, but I guess it could be a neat if it was just a bunch of off-beat licensed stuff. Too bad they'd have to waste a minifig on the protagonist

I've wanted Cafe Corner for a decade now.
Looks done now, but it also looks like the picture is bootlego, it's hard to tell from the thumbnail, but knockoffs usually have the injection points on the studs as you can see on the top plate

>If Harry Potter comes back next year I really hope it stays and becomes evergreen like Star Wars.
Please no, Star Wars faggots have already ruined Lego enough we don't need Harry Potter shitters here for eternity too.
>Star Wars saved Lego
As did Bionicle, giving them the idea to go on and do their own original IPs with stories behind them,
Star Wars sets are creatively bankrupt, it's the same old trash year in year out.
>Licensed themes are the best
Go fuck yourself
>Price hike for less shit because Disney are jews
>Shit, short lived lines 90% of the time that are blatant cash grabs
>Star Wars trash overstaying its welcome with the same sets over and over for nearly 20 years now
>Less incentive to create their own original IPs and designs and just milk existing ones forever
>But Bionicle sucks
It doesn't matter what you think of Bionicle, there's absolutely no denying it played a pivotal role in shaping how Lego operate today, if it weren't for Bionicle and other early - mid 2000's IPs like Exo-Force there's a good chance you wouldn't have Ninjago today.
How does it feel to live in a fantasy world where you can't accept Lego's biggest franchise for years was a Technic action figure line?
Bionicle was and is one of Lego's biggest franchises. Ninjago certainly has dethroned it nowadays, but Bionicle had the bigger impact.
What faggot can't even accept the fact that Bionicle is perhaps the biggest theme Lego has released, with a huge cult following, and prevented Lego from bankruptcy. I don't like Bionicle, but it was hugely influential and denying it is retarded.
>construction toys that are action figures / different building method / bonklefags
>different licenses/lines of the same building style of the same brand
/toy/ would hate us is why not
>bootyblasted anticaps mad as fuck that Lego follows the money
stay butthurt you dumb commie shits. go jerk off more to your blacktron and kingdoms sets you losers
Made the legs look like it could actually support its own weight, and gave it a proper cannon. I think it might be done now.
Thanks! I hope this looks better (with apologies to LQ for the filename).
Hey, maybe if we post pictures of Lego it will ward off the autistic screeching. Here's my team, from l-r
Rickles O'Flaherty-underwater demolition
Mallory Dolipore- agricultural espionage
Loopley- helicopter pilot, muscle
Lucifuss Swetty- animal wrangling, gay seductions.
That's sweet. Is the brown compartment to make it look like a spider, or to make it look ramshackle and wooden, or did you run out of grey?
I loved the earlier Exo-force sets because of the somewhat minimalist decal-esque stickers, that could easily be incorporated into more Gunpla-esque designs.
Pic related, MoC from older post, 1 stealth hunter + 2 Sky guardians.
anyone else like building gundam-esque mechas?
Guess which poster on the flickr group is me. Then never ask me that question again because I will never stop talking about how MFZ got me back into Lego and is the greatest thing ever.
Though I'm not sure this is very gundamish.
>mfw its not UCS Millennium Falcon
>it's DTC Elvendale city
It's based on a smaller model I made to go with my Mobile Frame tanks (>>6502401). The treads on the tanks were brown by necessity, so the cabin on the spiders ended up brown too. I do like how it makes it look less high-tech, though.
I gave the little one some skates. Still working on the big one's feet, though. I think the front two feet look better now.
I love the digitigrade legs. The name really fits.
Im REALLY considering making a voltron style mecha for my galaxy squad!!!
Would mean dismantling some of the mechs I have!
That smaller one is freaking CUTE.
Bigger one's feet look good, but also like the doubled joints limit articulation a bit.
>The name really fits.
Thanks, I've had that mech standing around forever and only named it now.
Dismantling Funtron when this happened just now. I've seen broken bricks before, but this is a first.
It does lose some articulation from the doubled joints, but it's heavy enough that the extra stability helps. I might try it fitting it for single joints, though.
Will there be a Beowulf to go with it?
Anyone got creative ways to hook a lower plate onto a higher one? Trying to get some vehicle designs that don't lose their bottom when I put a fig in.
Currently relying on brackets and vehicle base pieces like a pleb, but wondering if there's any creative SNOT solution
But the leaked pics show 2 clones ki adi mundi and coleman trebor?
You could use "Slope, Curved 2 x 1 Inverted" if I'm understanding the problem correctly. I don't have any tricky tips without seeing a picture of your problem.
>Currently relying on brackets and vehicle base pieces like a pleb, but wondering if there's any creative SNOT solution
Post a pic of your WIP
USPS didn't deliver my bricklink shit today like they said they would, reeeeeeeeee
Interesting. Reddish brown seems like the weakest color, I've got a few broken tiles. Never seen anything like THAT though.
>Will there be a Beowulf to go with it?
extremely unlikely at this point
i've straight-up snapped 4x8 and 4x10 reddish brown plates before with almost zero force applied and so many fucking tiles that i've lost count. the only other colour i've snapped is dark red and pearl gold, and for the latter i've only ever snapped the single round stud pieces
i don't know what the fuck is up with reddish brown and i've never been able to find an answer
>That sweet sweet ball socket to brick transition.
>That quality original space helmet, and trans yellow paired with blue.
>katanas and beowulf reference
These aren't gundamesque but are still hella cool!
Take a vid of you taking your shit apart if you want to remember how to rebuild them(play it backwards) You can find instructions for voltron-based figures on flickr, i think.
I meant "anon, post a pic of your WIP vroomvroom so we can see what you're having a problem with" but I would like to see more of your Ninjago City expansion!
Oh hey I have something to show everybody
My latest cracklink order is still stuck in the eye of a hurricane (Chr2win hope you're still OK!) but my untouched authentic Danishblokken showed up today. Time to make some fun stuff and also a maternity ward
Im fine taking Mocs apart just needed to get ideas/Motivation! I think I know what scale I want now!
Managed to make a wolf mech for the Black Ranger and a foot! Going to use the Eradicator Mech as the part of the core part! Going to use my White mech as the head once I get a chest module to slot in too!
Going to go for a easy wheeled vehicle for its left leg but anyone got any ideas!!!
I have Green,Blue,Red,Grey.Pink mechs left!
Wasnt too hard desu, Mainly just took forever solving structural issues whilst making it so the head can fold back Snug and properly!
I love the range of motion on these. It gives me high hopes for molded gorillas, giraffes, etc. in the future.
Also holy cow these are bigger than I expected them to be
Got a real Aztec carving/Egyptian painting vibe in those silhouettes
But there's literally 1 axis with... ~90 degrees of motion? I mean, they look great for even that much, but it's really not a lot of poseability (but lego has an uncanny ability to present itself as more than the sum of its parts if posed and photographed well)
It's a good thing I have to go to bed soon or else I would keep blathering on about these because they're so cool. I've wanted Lego big cats ever since they introduced sharks, crocodiles, parrots and monkeys.
>Got a real Aztec carving/Egyptian painting vibe in those silhouettes
Same here, that's why I posed them like that!
>But there's literally 1 axis with... ~90 degrees of motion?
Yeah, but compared to the wargs, these are Olympic contortionists.
The one thing I don't like about them is that they all have a tattoo on the base of one foot that's really hard to reach with an eraser.
I'm revisiting my Trotmobile (Steambot Chronicles) but I need to find a way to have it seat two people without drastically changing the appearance.
R8 my bricks and minifigs haul
I really can't shill their bulk bins enough. $20 for a small bag, which is ~350 parts for me. Not a great deal compared to the going rate of $10 a pound for bulk lego. But consider that you get 100% parts that you actually want, and there is also some value to sifting through the bins (variable reward schedule). Every time I've been in I've found dozens of parts that I didn't even know existed.
Also, they seem to always have a good quantity of old finger hinges.
Yo Steambot Chronicles is the coolest shit! I built a trot when I was a kid using one of the Adventurers car chassis with two seats... yours looks really excellent!
as for widening the interior, you might have to ditch the train roof in favor of a more built up top edge using cheese slopes or smth
If you're in the area give it a visit I guess.
Depending on your how wide your taste in bricks is, I don't think that it's worth it to plan a whole trip. Because of the nature of the bulk bins, I can fill a single bag easily every visit, but would have a hard time finding enough parts for the 3 or 4 (or more) that would make a whole trip economical. If you're more open about the kinds of parts you buy, maybe it'll be worth it.
They are overpriced for anything other than bulk bricks, just use bricklink instead.
Is the boombox supposed to look like this or did I get one with incomplete printing?
Give it a go, you never know - they might send out one for free (doubt it though). You could always leave it, some of mine are unique because of misprints and I value them more because of it.
I bought a Y-Wing last year and the print on the astromech was not alined right. It was vertically straight, but was just noticeably off to it's right side (left side when looking at it).
Other then that there was no issue. No missing print, no smudges. Nothing.
But it was enough to annoy me, so I contacted Lego to see if there was a chance they could replace it and they did.
I made no demands or anything, just explained what was wrong and asked if there was a possibility of getting a replacement.
But since CMF are made in different factory, Lego can't really do anything.
I remember one Anon who had a suitcase break in CMF so he had to go through all sorts of hoops to get it replaced
I don't see why it would be different, but even if it is, there's no harm in contacting Lego and just saying
>Hi, I recently bought a Ninjago Collectable Minifigure. I got Cole. It's a nice minifig, but there was one small issue; it was missing part of it's print/paint app on the stereo accessory.
>I was just wondering if there was any chance of getting this replaced? I've checked all the local stores and none of them seem to have any Cole's left, at least not that I can feel.
>I understand if you can't, thank you.
Or something like
it's kind of silly
I'll just bricklink the pieces.
>I remember one Anon who had a suitcase break in CMF so he had to go through all sorts of hoops to get it replaced
That was me
>I don't see why it would be different
Basically, Lego reps can't access blindbag components through their inventory lookup system the way they can look up other pieces, because the individual pieces don't show up; it just shows "CMF BAG, RANDOM". The best they could do is send me an unopened blindbag with no guarantee that it's the correct replacement. I was able to get around this because the CMF Zombie Businessman's black briefcase also came in another current set, so the rep was able to fudge things and enter my replacement request as though I had bought the other set.
Thinking about it now, if you went on Brickset and got the element number for the boombox, they might be able to look it up directly without having to use the inventory lookup.
Can anyone tell me if this is Daneblock, Mega/Tyco or chinabricks? I've gotten 3 in recent bulk buys of 90s/early00s lego.
I'm the anon who (a few threads ago) was looking for a medieval MOC idea. I was recommended to do the entrance to a dwarf mine, but I couldn't think of a way to pull it off. Anything that I could build that is cheap to do yet makes a great display piece?
A royal carriage would let you use lots of vibrant colors, and you could include bandits or peasants to contrast with browns and grays. Maybe try out some brick-built horse designs a la the earliest Castle sets
Mech feet are fixed on the back of the animals but the heads themselves still find a use as pauldrons.
Back view, a possible sixth steel beast could be attached at the back
Thanks for the tips! I was thinking of a bear instead of a horse, using the one from the Forest subtheme of City that was released a while ago. I'll design and order the pieces needed, after which I'll post the finished result in a future thread. Thanks once again.
Gotta put wheels on that shit it's so big
Yep! I'm working on preparing it right now, though it'll take a few weeks or so. Same play-by-post style, but the scenario will be very different.
>Yep! I'm working on preparing it right now, though it'll take a few weeks or so. Same play-by-post style, but the scenario will be very different.
I didn't have a lot of free time during the windows where you were running it, but I really enjoyed it when I could!
Dude , its actually pretty amazing Upon visiting the Lego house you get ONE of the combinations printed with your name on the bag, So whilst its only 6 bricks. ONLY YOU have that combo!
Maybe a medieval farm or marketplace like the set we've got few years ago medieval market village
Or dwarwes merchant caravan with soldiers protecting the cargo such as gold and gems
>tfw never own this set because not enough money/space
>tfw will never muster the desire to build more of these like I planned. Its easier just doing gunpla. Had ideas for ~6 variants to do but it'll probably never happen. I'm just happy I was able to make them fit whole minifigs inside
Pretty slick. Looks like a wingless mosquito or something. I love the design of the legs, it has a nice mechanical look to it. To me, looks like there should be something connecting the cross axle extension pieces on the knee area. Maybe a flex tube?. But that may hinder the articulation of it. Love the eyes too.
Can't wait to see it anon! Out of curiosity, are you using Fantasy Era dwarves, LOTR, or original designs?
It was damn hard figuring out how to make hingable parts at the front whilst going around the hubs and chassis! Started with a huge wedge for the nose but just wouldnt look smooth enough so I went smaller and it looks great to me!
Chest piece next! May use my chode fire mech as the base as that part as its perfect sizewise
Jangs last jedi set reviews got taken down!
He gets a few free sets and he's ready to let "legal action" push him around. Even when he knows he's right.
broke up some space stuff tonight, here's some meh from the discards
>they probably think he got them illegally.
Well, since he buys the stuff he reviews off eBay from people who "acquired" sets before they were officially released, so that's probably technically true, since he's purchasing stolen goods.
Oh yea. He probably thought of that. I'm less upset now.
Toys R Us, but same idea.
>I don't see why not.
By the time he'd have contacted an attourney and heard back from that of Lego (or more likely contractual IP partner, the sets will be available to the public, as they will be within a week, and I'm sure he'll be able to reupload his videos by then.
>$58.2K - $930.5K ESTIMATED MONTHLY EARNINGS

I know social blade isn't the most accurate. Also Lego isn't just a Youtube Channel. I'm just not even on the board is all.
The TLNM Movie minifigs made it to my area. Didn't have a lot of time to fondle bags today but I managed to get six of six right, including two Angler Babes and a General Guppygirl. I love these Shark Army torsos! Definitely going to get a lot of use.
Just need to grab an Octopus Dude and a few others. I know this line got a little flak for having a lot of civilian characters, but I really like the assortment (at least since I can usually fondle out the ones I want). Luckily this wave is pretty easy to fondle.
And more ladies bags, Jesus Christ. I didn't even realize she came with a purse until I opened it.
I had an idea a year or so ago that I put on the back burner, but now that I have all these purses it's making me think about it more.
He can just re-upload the same video in a week. I'm sure he wouldn't end up losing that many views/$ compared to what it would take to hire a lawyer.
That is really stupid. If they don't want stuff to get 'revealed' they should hold off on making stuff till the movie is released. Maybe if they'd be less greedy with putting 'spoilers' on every type of merchandise there is, even pinball machines, they wouldn't have this problem.
Gosh darn it, that just makes me want to not watch the new movie even more so.
Oh and don't get me started on how Disney is totally fine with the creepy Disney kid videos with Elsa and Spider-man. Oh no that's totally cool, but putting up sets a week before they are officially released from a person who bought them themselves, of merchandise that is barely spoilers, of which the script was leaked a few months back? Nah, we'll sue him to kingdom come!
Not really Gundam-esque, but I've been working on this one for a little while now.
Nothing. IMO they're legal.
but youtube is more likely to listen to some disney lawyer than some random guy, and remove them/demonetize the channel
should it ever go to court, he would win, after spending fuck knows how much in legal fees
Anyone know what this is about yet?
Bet Disney got pissed when he called them out for that terrible AT-ST Spider thing's retarded design, I hope this doesn't hurt his channel.
STAR WNRS 4 LYFE NIGGA
the starfighters are kind of weird tho.
protip: try setting your camera to macro mode
Terrain in progress. I'm not fond of how the top floor is going, but the structure underneath meets the look I'm aiming for.
first they mess up copyright so bad the mouse will never enter public domain then digitally reuse dead actors (repeatedly) and now this, disney is approaching saturday morning cartoon villain levels
Disney are just cunts when it comes to Star Wars merch and early releases.
Remember back just before FA?
Some guy found a couple of figures from the next wave to be releases in a Walmart and bought them, including a Ray figure that came with a lightsaber. He posted some pics of them on Facebook, Disney schized out, sent take down notices and had Facebook not only remove the pics, but ban the guy for like 3 weeks or something.
All because it revealed something that Harrison Ford had already revealed a couple of weeks prior; that Ray uses the lightsaber.
New one. I'm not nearly as happy with the front aesthetically but it fits two people at least? It was hard to do without making the whole thing much wider. I guess it doesn't look too bad.
Thanks anon! Yours is pretty great too. I'm surprised anybody else even knows about the game.
dang I almost forgot the most important part!
Hello fellow 16x16 building constructor
