Did anyone elses baseplate get bowed after placing the water tiles in their ninjago city build? It had a slight bow before but I oriented it in such a way where the weight of the set should hold it down but now the back corner is bowed up and there wont be any weight there

Yeah, honestly it doesn't bug me as much as it should. I have a couple of millimeters of lift in the back corner, even with all of "Old Ninjago" sitting on it (bags 1-6)
The front corner (where the 4x4 technic round brick is) is experiencing the same, as I don't have enough built to set on top of that front pillar yet and hold it down.

Metallic colors are sprayed onto plain colors, you can see this for yourself if you have any very worn down parts. Metallic silver is sprayed onto light bluish gray, so either someone rubbed all of the silver off, or got ahold of an unsprayed part from lego. Fairly often bricklink sellers have large quantities of unprinted parts.

In most cases, an unprinted version exists in the catalog, and they'll just be listed as plain parts. Check for discrepancies between "Known Colors" and "Lots for Sale". The only exception is when there is no listing for an unprinted version, like most of this shop: https://store.bricklink.com/Jimmystore&itemID=62586651.

And if you really want it that badly, literally buy a Metallic Silver helmet and wash all the metallic off. I'm not familiar with the process but brasso probably works here.

On top of that, translating IRL proportions to the Lego proportions it's based makes it hard for me to keep an accurate point of reference for things. [spoiler] don't even get started on the proportions of the car[/nospoiler]

Yea, Green and Grey would be great additions. If they have the classic 5 Im fine with whatever else they add. If they have green and grey and missing classic colors Id be pissed. Since it's classic they really better have classic helps, or at least more standard helmets. Whatever passes their breakage/safety standards these days. Simple and clean, save the more detailed stuff for other sets.

I actually have a slight preference for the exterior of the new one. It looks a lot more movie accurate with a nicer finish on top and more tubular design. I like the addition of an actual cockpit piece as well.

The big difference is the new one has an interior. It's quite the engineering feat to build something of this size with a hollow interior. Especially considering it's shape. It's without a doubt the most challenging model Lego has ever designed.

I'm quite curious as to what it looks like inside and how sturdy it feels.

What is the best Cars 3 set? I tried to watch Just2good's reviews but I just can't. His reviews are just bad.

Theoretically they should be able to. They at least designed the parts for the Lego JW video game, as there was a smaller dino body that they used.
