Reminder that we've never got these licenses in LG DM:
There are some interesting tidbits revealed regarding the development of Dimensions and some cancelled plans according to a source in TT Games. Regarding his credibility - he's been trustworthy in the past. Obviously I'd take this all with a grain of salt though.
The patch update released recently removed the exact amount of Gold bricks that would be found in a Story Pack, which was stated to have been a cancelled Minecraft Story Pack with Steve.
How to Train Your Dragon was considered very early even before year 1, but third parties weren't interested.
James Bond was pitched as not just Dimensions but a full game, and a mockup trailer was made, but it was considered too adult for Lego and replaced with Mission Impossible.
Avatar, Despicable Me, Looney Tunes, Universal Monsters, Tom & Jerry, Godzilla, The Smurfs, Thunderbirds, Tintin, Angry Birds, and Shrek were some IPs considered, but most of the third parties were not interested.

Also,Despicable Me was going to have Lego sets too but Universal picked Mega.

>I don't think that Mega would gave up on the license...
It wouldn't even be Mega's decision. Lego lost the license because they weren't willing to do enough custom molds.

> The CN CMF could have Cow and Chicken,Dexter,Ben 10,Johnny Bravo,Courage,Billy and Mandy,Fosters House,Ed Edd and Eddy
Just the shows you listed would require a minimum of 13 characters (counting only the 1-3 protags) It's nice to dream, but that's ridiculous.

>>6502429
Mega is more willing than lego to make POOP custom molds for licenses. That's why they get so many licenses. Lego doesn't want to spend infinite money on retooling for every line.>>6502502

i don't know what the fuck is up with reddish brown and i've never been able to find an answer

R8 my bricks and minifigs haul

I really can't shill their bulk bins enough. $20 for a small bag, which is ~350 parts for me. Not a great deal compared to the going rate of $10 a pound for bulk lego. But consider that you get 100% parts that you actually want, and there is also some value to sifting through the bins (variable reward schedule). Every time I've been in I've found dozens of parts that I didn't even know existed.

Also, they seem to always have a good quantity of old finger hinges.

Had no idea these stores existed, too bad I'm east coast and the closest one is down in connecticut. Is it worth the trip?
>>
>>6504446
If you're in the area give it a visit I guess.

Depending on your how wide your taste in bricks is, I don't think that it's worth it to plan a whole trip. Because of the nature of the bulk bins, I can fill a single bag easily every visit, but would have a hard time finding enough parts for the 3 or 4 (or more) that would make a whole trip economical. If you're more open about the kinds of parts you buy, maybe it'll be worth it.

They are overpriced for anything other than bulk bricks, just use bricklink instead.

Is the boombox supposed to look like this or did I get one with incomplete printing?
>>
>>6504596
incomplete printing. where did it come from?
>>
>>6504602
CMF Cole.

I know Lego can't do jack shit when it comes to CMF, but should I contact them regardless?
>>
>>6504611
Give it a go, you never know - they might send out one for free (doubt it though). You could always leave it, some of mine are unique because of misprints and I value them more because of it.
>>
>>6504611
I bought a Y-Wing last year and the print on the astromech was not alined right. It was vertically straight, but was just noticeably off to it's right side (left side when looking at it).
Other then that there was no issue. No missing print, no smudges. Nothing.
But it was enough to annoy me, so I contacted Lego to see if there was a chance they could replace it and they did.
I made no demands or anything, just explained what was wrong and asked if there was a possibility of getting a replacement.
>>
>>6504616
But since CMF are made in different factory, Lego can't really do anything.

I remember one Anon who had a suitcase break in CMF so he had to go through all sorts of hoops to get it replaced

>>6504625
>I don't see why it would be different
Basically, Lego reps can't access blindbag components through their inventory lookup system the way they can look up other pieces, because the individual pieces don't show up; it just shows "CMF BAG, RANDOM". The best they could do is send me an unopened blindbag with no guarantee that it's the correct replacement. I was able to get around this because the CMF Zombie Businessman's black briefcase also came in another current set, so the rep was able to fudge things and enter my replacement request as though I had bought the other set.

Thinking about it now, if you went on Brickset and got the element number for the boombox, they might be able to look it up directly without having to use the inventory lookup.

Oh and don't get me started on how Disney is totally fine with the creepy Disney kid videos with Elsa and Spider-man. Oh no that's totally cool, but putting up sets a week before they are officially released from a person who bought them themselves, of merchandise that is barely spoilers, of which the script was leaked a few months back? Nah, we'll sue him to kingdom come!

Disney are just cunts when it comes to Star Wars merch and early releases.
Remember back just before FA?
Some guy found a couple of figures from the next wave to be releases in a Walmart and bought them, including a Ray figure that came with a lightsaber. He posted some pics of them on Facebook, Disney schized out, sent take down notices and had Facebook not only remove the pics, but ban the guy for like 3 weeks or something.
All because it revealed something that Harrison Ford had already revealed a couple of weeks prior; that Ray uses the lightsaber.

I'm sorry, your content is just too controversial for our fractious age. With the schism between SW fags and well-adjusted grown-ups growing wider with every post, showing a diorama with wookies and classic spacemen makes people wonder where your true loyalties lie, making them cautious to state an opinion either way for fear of persecution via frog pictures. Ive been posting in these threads for the better part of two years now. Sure, it has always existed, but it was scattered, few and far between. Recently its every thread. Figure maybe a surge of it due to the new movie hype and all the new sets coming out.

I can understand people being pissed because no new space themes, but I figure give time for ep 8 to come out, let the hype die down and who knows what well get in the interim.

So, I just got an order with the free caveman figs in it and holy crap, is that seriously the quality of those Chinese-made collectable minifigs?
Everything feels like it's only half as rigid, stiff and sturdy as the Danish figures, the hands seem to be made out of an entirely different material that is much more soft and shiny and as a whole they kinda feel like bootlegs (no wonder why the head of the Chinese Lego factory couldn't see the difference between them...).

White is basically a headmaster and can swap with Blue. Pink mech is just too unwieldly without a fully new design!!!
Black got a second mech to be the foot and grey got a car instead of his normal mech for his foot! Might have to change Pinks vehicle into something else!
(I cant make Spacships as everyone already has a Spaceship not in this combiner)

Anyway my mech has guns for hands so he cant hold shit!

$20 bucks at a TrU near you (or not). Wonder how much marked-up TLBM you have to buy to make it "free".
>>
>>6507607
They will be $20. For sure, those figure sets they did a few months ago were like that, and they had so many of them left over that I think there are STILL at least three or four of the "sports" ones on the shelf at my local TRU marked down like a motherfucker. Same with those Cole single figure boxes, I know for a FACT that theres still like 20 of those on the shelf selling for like $2.50 right now.

I'm kind of surprised they kept that jagged as fuck join behind the cockpit, there's got to be a better way of building that part.
>>
>>6507666
Honestly, I don't think there is. They could have used plates like the last iteration, but if they want to make the tunnel rounded on the outside, this is just about the only way to do it, barring a new piece.

Man I really like your style, you got a site where you upload your stuff?
>>
>>6507617
TrU's own fault, None of those 4-packs or that Cole were worth the asking price. I'll still probably buy the Batpack like a sucker, though.

>I've been toying with the idea of getting a second and turning the cape into a skirt.
Just tried it - the neck-peg holes fit the pegs on legs, but the smaller collar frill is too long and doesn't wrap around the back.

I assume that the skirt didn't make it to physical production because the way they've got it depicted, it wraps and folds like cloth, but the transparent plastic is too thick and rigid to bend at sharp angles like that, and thinner plastic would probably start tearing or cracking. Maybe China will come up with a suitable alternative (a solid trans-blue piece that fits between legs and torso?)

Is that the mech that came out of the big green Galaxy squad rover? Fuck, that was a great set. Your Voltron thingy is impressive, how much did you have to mod them for the connections?
>>
>>6507587
That playset is awesome, what are you talking about, you use the jail phone to break out through the toilet and there's a bread launcher, you get 5.5 dudes and it costs 15 bucks holy fuck imma go pick up another one.
