May building challenges:
>make your own Dimensions team based off of a new franchise
>create a new Music star/act for Legovision 2016, also include any instruments or stage props, and don't forget an awesome name
>wasn't there also something about animal vehicles
>build a vehicle or fleet worthy of riding into Valhalla, shiny and chrome
>greeble: remake any set or build something with an absurd amount of greebling
>build a mighty micro vehicle
(any surface type)
>up vote jangs videos
>can may be mini moc madness month: spaceship edition? yes it can
>build a brick-built animal!
>make a stop-motion / multi-frame animation
>Make a SPACE LIMO
first for ice planet
>>5662856
god, I love Ice Planet fan art! so rare, but so good!
now I want to dig my Lego stuff out of the basement and start building, again.
>>5662860
That image is terrifying.
>>5662853
Fuck off with your flavor-of-the-month meme magic and post more space sets.
Space Limo got me back into Lego.
I love you, Space Limo.
>new thread before image limit just to further force a meme
Don't get me wrong, I love the space limo, but this is just sad
worst lego general in months. del
>>5666532
This one is actually older
>>5666532
This isn't even a new thread it existed before the new one but nobody used it
Post YFW Infinity is kill and Star Wars is only imminent now

Good news: I found my childhood Lego in my parents' basement
Bad news: It's covered in rat feces
>>5666758
Better get a-washin'.
Dish soap, warm water. Leave to dry in the sun.

Who wants to see Ace Rider in Wave 3 of Speed Champions?
And what's a car you'd like to see in wave 3 of Speed Champions car?
Mine's gotto a be pic related, because ALL WHEEL DRIIIIIVE
My friend's grandpa recently bought 20 MM Robin/Bane sets and gave me the Robins.
What do I do with my 20 Robins, guys?

>>5666839
wtf does he do with 20 Banes?
>>5666839
Post a picture of them.
>>5666851
Lotta minifigs for an old man.
>>5666839
Does he have something planed for all of the mini Banes?
>>5666862
>planed
>>5666851
He's building a big collection
BANE?
>>5666867
For you.
>>5666882
how sweet of him :3
I forgot I made this, but here's the (semi-) animated trailer for The Corner, a terrible cliche horror movie.
I made this for SantaPunichu's Halloween contest.
>>5666885
And here's the ad poster
Does anyone have the pic about the 8 pounds of kylo Ren figures?
>>5666852
>>5666898
>just in case you forget what's in this bag
You should definitely do a contest giveaway. That fig has lots of nice parts.
>>5666898
You should make a video talking about your world's largest Robin army. Like a parody of that man with the world's largest Lego clone army.
>>5665706
that's dark flesh. But reddish brown was used before that for figs, I think it was replaced by medium dark flesh.
>>5666013
from the thumbnail I thought it was that zelda lady with a similar helmet.
>>5666263
>>5666617
it's been a while.
>>5666898
You could make a Batman chess set and use them as pawns.
So, I mean, that'll use eight of them. Twelve to go!
Could you help me decide which one(s) to get?
I kinda want to get Rey and Finn for making lewd racemixing scenes.
This is finally starting to come together! Attaching the wings is tougher than it should be, I'd like for it to be solid but right now they're shaky. Also uh it's missing half a cockpit.
>>5666917
All of them are basically Uncanny Valley: the Action Figure
Except Grievous and maybe the storm troopers.
>>5666929
All the masked/robot characters look great, but yeah, those human faces...
I got Grievous and Vader. They're wicked.
>>5666916
Robin as the pawns for both sides! Batman versus Batman! And then four at the corners of the board, dying in various ways.

>>5667065
awww fucks, so white pieces with very specific prints. Thank you LDD. I hope it can get other uses in the future.
>>5667052
Maxifig heads, at a guess.
>>5667092
>Maxifig heads, at a guess.
Nope. They have peg necks and side studs.
>>5666946
I dunno what it is about the faces of those buildable figures but they actually look a lot better IRL.
Well, except for Luke.
>>5667139
interior shot, with minigun on the wall.
Damn it Lego when did you start with the shit plastic. :(
>>5664606
Aah I see. I might be lazy too. I feel like it looks better than the previous Quinjet's we've gotten, but has less functionality as an actual carrier of people. Bit of a bummer.
I know what you mean about breaking that limit though. My first big cave-in was the Milano and it was fucking awesome.
Im in love.
The way they did her printing is a little odd, but I can live with it.
>>5667207
bootleg probably looks better.
>>5667200
I've noticed a lot of smaller fragile pieces like that crack eventually regardless. I think it's just the natural pressure of the clutch due to being a slightly smaller hole than the stud is wide giving way. Considering the stud part is more solid, and usually a larger part overall, it's just an inevitable outcome the smaller part will give way. I'm not sure they can really avoid it either, save for making something so solid it would slowly crush the stud portion instead.
>>5667202
The newest quinjet is pretty focused on being an attack ship, rather than a combo attack/transport, which is nice because you can only build the same style of thing so many times if you've been buying every set.
The Milano looked great too. I almost cracked and bought it when I saw it on the shelf, but I was tight on money so I settled for the Nova fighter and avoided the slope for another year.
>>5667200
Contact Lego with your complaints. Send them pictures.
Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll send you something impressive to appease you.
>>5667207
Holy hell is that real? Is she in one of the Web Warrior sets or whatever?
>>5667207
Where'd you get her from?
The fact that Angry Birds is getting a movie is dumb. The fact that that movie is getting tie-in lego sets is even dumber. But with that said, some pretty neat pieces have come of it. Case-in-point, the head-lamp piece from the motorbike set makes for an adorable robot face. I liked the face so much that I built a whole moc around it.
Also there's a similar looking piece in pearl gold in the king's castle set. I think it's be cool to see someone should use it in a moc.
>>5667242
Third party, printed on real lego parts.
>>5667246
Got mine from ebay, last one as far as I can tell. Theres another site selling three of them out of the UK. around $40-$45 fun bux each though. Mine was much cheaper. Havent seen anymore on the net sadly. Like the Whiplash figure, she might almost be gone.
>HellO. I'm gAuge.
Quiet and reserved, Gauge is a prototype military espionage drone that was deemed unfit for field usage. As a result, he was re-purposed and sold as an outdoor maintenance and upkeep droid.
He is quite fond of gardening and enjoys tending to the wide variety of flowers that he looks after.
>flOwers fOr my friEnds
There'll be a couple more photos on my Flickr, but they're not very exciting, so I won't bother posting them here. I hope you like him as much as I enjoyed making him. Coming up with his torso design was especially fun.
>>5667251
Is it really real lego? That stand has no lego prints on the studs. Are there any legit markings on the rest? Or just quality bootlegs from "borrowed" molds?
>>5667249
>>5667252
>>5667254
>>5667255
Pretty neat robot. As an espionage robot repurposed for outdoor maintenance it does give a slight unsettling vibe however. Was it really "repurposed"? Does it spy on the flowers it tends? Or maybe something else...?
>>5667200
Notice they are all new figures.
>>5667264
Lego have been cheap money grubbing bastards for a while now, but this is a new low.
>>5667264
What are you fuckers doing with your figs as I have a lot of the new ones and the only brake I have had at all is when the backpack from rey's speeder snapped and that is rubber
>>5667264
>>5667200
my fire brigade building had all of the 1x1 clips break off at the clip section. No real playing or stress was done to them. They were just holding bits of the garage and the fire truck itself.
I've since replaced these pieces with older ones from my collection and they hold up so much better
>>5667263
Thats because the stand isnt lego. The figure is.
Really? Did I have to actually explain that....?
Figure didnt come with a stand, I used one of my own.
Fucking hell.
>>5667263
I'd be more concerned about the plants doing the spying.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Delta_Source
>>5667226
I really think it's a lowered quality of plastic. Most of the cracked pieces are new (to me) things like cheese slopes and grilles, but I've also seen it happen with 1x2 slopes and plates. All my old ones are intact, the new ones sometimes break.
>>5667233
Yeah. I started collecting the broken ones instead of tossing them out, eventually I'll complain about it.
>>5667264
I remember seeing this on eurobricks. Fucking annoying. Did you ever get in touch with Lego about it?
>>5667271
Getting that defensive over questions? Are you that insecure about bootlegs? Does it matter that much it's reprinted "official" parts and not just a regular bootleg that you'll act like that at someone questioning the integrity?
>>5667249
Awesome design. I can't quite make out how the knees work, any chance of a closer shot?
>>5667271
>>5667274
Wew, lads.
>>5667274
No, I just dont see why the stand became the big "OH, IS THAT REAL? HMMMMMMMM?" thing that was brought up. In fact thats fucking retarded.
Good day madam.
>>5667274
Howsabout you shut your whore mouth, or better yet, use it to make me that money, bitchboi hugh-mon.
Seriously, is Brick Daddy gone have to jump in a hulkbuster suit and choke a bitch?
>>5667273
I guess it could be lowered quality. Considering it seems only some parts have issues it could be a quality control issue with some of the new plants, and not just an inherit flaw overall. Also, with those minifig torsos and how older parts seem to hold up it could point to just a bad change in materials too.
>>5667278
Thanks pal. I don't have my camera out right now, so LDD screenshots will have to do, sorry. Hope this helps.
>>5667249
>>5667252
>>5667254
>>5667255
Dammit E-why, outdone yourself again.
The neck reminds me of the gardener robot from A.I. Artificial Intelligence. At the same time, I'm also reminded of the Laputa film by the little backstory. Good stuff you've done.
>>5667281
It's a completely valid and reasonable observation that the stand would be part of the minifig combo. You also haven't backed up your claim outside of acting defensive over your choice in how to display your new toy. It's almost as if someone's got a guilty conscience about something.
>>5667289
>Hope this helps.
Yeah, it does, thanks!
>>5667295
Not even him, but I didn't see him get defensive. He just asked if he really had to explain that the stand didn't come with the figure.
Sounds like you have the real problem because you keep riding him about it.
So I decided to put together instructions for this thing.
>>5667330
Shit, this is a little more complicated than expected.
>>5667340
are you doing step by step? or just breakdown pics
>>5667340
awwwwwww yissssss.
ere we go.
>>5667268
The problem is- these figures according to OP spend a week on a shelf. Standing.
It seems there is problem with ubdated leg mold- the pegs are too big. I also noticed sometimes legs are pain to put in.
Starting to look quite bulky . . .
>>5667439
Nice. Good color coding (or whatever you call it, you know what I mean.), looks bulky as fuck, which means its sturdy as hell. Medium armor, medium recon. Avoid the Shadowswords.
Any hints for the Kaiju?
>>5666184
>>5667378
>>5667342
There, clear enough hopefully.
>>5667439
And that looks just awesome. I want to see it next to an exosuit, would it even come up to the knee?
>>5667448
Thank you friend.
It should be enough.
Hope yer next build is just as awesome! And I mean it.
>>5666874
I am so tempted to order one from Germany, but I know I'll have to pay an arm and a leg for him.
HOLY
>>5667487
FUCK
>>5667477
You could always go for a Mechanical Beast.
Or any of the other medley of enemy robots that Super Robot shows tend to have.
I still don't know why anyone would want Mobile Suits to fight critters and not other MS but if you wanna do that go for it.
This guy's episode was great.
You know what'd be nuts? Something like a Zeong or Adzam, to the scale of that suit. Where the hell'd a guy find all those purple bricks?
I should stop dumping pictures of enemy robots.
Something like an Oggo could make a good enemy for your MS without going through too much effort. It's small but clearly armed, if very crude.
I, uh, hope that helped.
Actually, forget the Oggo, a Gwigsy would be better. Still a Mobile Pod, still a jobber, and unlike the Oggo, doesn't get Zeek plot armor BS.
Okay I'm done now I swear.
whats your feel today /lg/ ?
Just bought the set I lusted after as a child, 4507 because Dinosaurs. Got it for a decent price plus really good condition box and instructions.

Just picked up the Creator Turbo Quad 31022 for £7 because it was on sale, how's that price for the set? Did I make it out with a decent bargain or was I ensnared by a discount?

Anyone have any info or a link to those old mocs that became the squidmen in space police?
>>5667757
Man, if they do new Harry Potter sets for the new movie, it'll be so different. The jump to fleshie, things like wands and the sorting hat would get new molds, owls would be painted...

I made a small how to for changing out rear tires on the camaro btw, somehow my camera pooped and i couldn't make pictures on how i did the cab section but i hope it helps anywho.

what is all this bullshit
>>5668335
>stud shooters
I dont even instal the trigger on those pieces of shit. Even for kids those things are shit because like you said, they would lose all their studs quick as fuck, only to be found later when their parents step on them.
And we know what stepping on a lego means....

Did you guys see this yet?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTYssomDsbM
The bleeding heart liberal in me kinda sees something tragic in this. A ruthless, massively popular, massively overpriced toy juggernaut just opened it's biggest store yet smack dab in the middle of one of the most notoriously corrupt and economically unbalanced countries in the world.
I know it's stupid, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
>>5668363
>it's biggest store yet
>it is biggest store yet
>>5668369
Don't be a dick.
>>5668369
It's is also possessive, the store belongs to Lego so it is grammatically correct.
>>5668371
Don't be an illiterate tripfag.
Spring missiles are okay though.
>>5668378
It looks like Megas XLR when viewed from the back...
I approve my friend.
>>5668375
>It's is also possessive, the store belongs to Lego so it is grammatically correct.
Most of the English-speaking world uses "its" as the possessive. The apostrophe fell out of widespread use about a century ago.

>>stud shooters that do nothing but cause you to lose all of your studs
Hey Flick-fire Missiles can be alright...
The problem with STUD shooters is that they shoot STUDS, you didn't have this issue with Sphere Launchers and all that, did you?
>>5667842
built. LDD wouldnt accept some connections so I omitted some bits. Its a bitchin little chopper. Perfect for pursuit.
do you guys ever swap legs? does lego consider leg and arm swapping to be illegal builds?
Is Vader's neck piece on this figure just the old scuba mask piece? I can't tell if it is or not but it looks pretty similar.
>>5668536
it is
>>5668541
That's funny as shit, but also an amazing use of parts.
>>5668301
Question. I am not entirely sure how a train fits on a deserted island. Would the company who owned the island even have a reason for a railroad? maybe transporting supplies to different depots, but I would see them building an elevated monorail instead. Also I need an idea for buildings too
>>5668523
I was watching a Helicopter Modern Marvels the other day, and that looks a lot like the Build-it-yourself kit they showed.
>>5668532
>does lego consider leg and arm swapping to be illegal builds?
It would, I'm pretty sure, torso and leg assemblies are considered a single piece.
Legs are safe, swapping arms carries the risk of cracking the torso down the side. I've done that a couple times.
Mark I and Mark II together.
>>5668608
Okay these are fucking AWESOME.
Interesting technique on the hands/fingers. Are you planning on any handheld weapons?
>>5668615
Thinking of shields and guns. Maybe a bazooka.
>>5668624
Also have a cool image of Mark 0.
More Mark 0, in it's hangar.
>>5667521
Oh damn, that recolor is on point for Jango's time owning the Slave I. So glad I bought this set though.
Should have kept that hangar around.
>>5668639
Actually . . . .
>>5668647
Damn, Now I want to make a mech, or at least a really elaborate interior depicting the inside of one. If only I had the room. Can't wait to see what you make next.
>>5668593
>Legs are safe
I've never felt safe changing legs. The pegs are so fragile, it feels like they're far more likely to snap than the torso to crack.
>>5668650
Most likely a social life, or a mechanical monster to fight the mecha as some anon suggested.
INB4 hours of bricklinking.
>>5668655
Is that an Eva taking King Ghidorah for a walk?
>>5668532
>do you guys ever swap legs? does lego consider leg and arm swapping to be illegal builds?
FUCK THE POLICE
But seriously I switch arms, lets, hands, and pelvises all the time, and the only cracked pieces I have are ones that I got on Bricklink that were already cracked when I got them, and a couple of mid-90s arms. I don't know if I'm just incredibly lucky or extremely skilled at popping parts, or if other people are just giant hamhands.
>>5668661

>>5668532
I do it when necessary for builds but not too often, it can make the connection a lot more loose if you do it too much. But changing arms hands and legs are all game for me.
>>5668536
it's the old aquanauts piece yes.
any fellow ausfags know how long it takes for a shop at home order to arrive?

Sugar-free ones only. Regular ones don't do this.
>>5668459
>What is it about 90s Lego that makes it so comfy?
>>5668464
THis.
Some of these older catalog images seemed much more imaginative, too.
>>5668260
They're a cheap nice candy, germans like their gummies. its the same as there being like, mints or a hard caramel in an order, though with legos it seems a bit weird but like >>5668889

its the same as how fat free pringles used to cause anal leakage, but the "sugar" is so good/cheap, and suggested servings are so small, theres no real reason for them to take it out.
one normal sized bag of gummies is like 6 servies, yet you could easily eat it all, and feel like your anus was inverted with a plunger
I don't know how to feel about this.

>>5668960
A quick Google search pulls up a lot of different things. It looks like the brick testament used a 2x2 slope brick. Several images used 1x2 tiles. One here has a 2x2 round inverted tile. I also see a few of those r2d2 head things being used. But, no those must be wrong, because I found you the only solution you'll need.
>>5668974
Damn, what is that hair on the left?
>>5668974
Here's a question, do opened sets with box and instructions, complete and basically mint still hold value?
What if the box is kinda trashed?
I've got the monster mansion set (pic related), 100% complete, however the box isn't looking great. Any idea of a fair value for it with a fucked box
Also what's it worth now?
>>5668974
bloat fetishists pls go
>>5668992
idk about the rest of the set, but those condors are pretty spiffy
>>5668992
I'd imagine with a fucked box it wouldn't be worth much more than a used set in similar condition with instructions alone. Would really depend on the box condition as box collectors would essentially want a decent box with the set or it might not be worth it to them.
>>5668995
Condors? I don't see any birds.
>>5668998
Someone needs to post the used condors pic.

Is he right? He bitches about mis-matched colors all over, but after collecting most of the Movie sets, many new City sets, Creator and Agents sets, I have only encountered this on my Horizon Express. I didn't see it in my Spaceship!, or my 60052 locomotive, or the Corner Deli.
>>5668886
>Time for a bit of a confession. I bought 2 modular buildings and the monster hunters mansion from Lego shop at home and waited for them to arrive. 5 weeks later tracking no. was still showing nothing so I used the customer service email and Lego were really unapologetic. They said package might have been lost and dispatched another. 3 weeks later I'm at home and new package arrives. I'm fucken stoked it finally arrived. A few hours later the same day, delivery man gives me another huge box. It's the first package of the same order. I now have 2 of everything.
>I know I should have called Lego, chances are they'd have told me to keep it rather than the hassle of sending it back to them.
>But I kept one and sold the others for a tidy profit later. My only regret is probably not hanging onto them for a little longer.
tl:dr As an ausfag expect to wait a while and the tracking no is pretty useless.
>>5669012
yeah, I have that orange one but in red, to use as a priest/bishop hat.
>>5668992
As long as all the pieces are there you'll still probably get a good return on it, but the mint-in-box are the ones that command stupid dollars.
>>5669015
Could be slight colour differences and you need a good eye to notice, maybe? I've never gone looking for that however so I can't comment personally, but it's possible considering the new process and he might have gotten very unlucky. What gets me about that is he still bought 200+ sets and likely intends to keep going while parading that it's crap quality.
>>5669015
Dark red has had several color variations, sometimes in the same set. It happened to me with the green grocer and the red pieces used on the rear blacony. I'd say the difference is about that between brand new white and white that hasn't kept """mint""". It's noticeable if the parts are right next to each other.
>>5669015
>>Be on Eurobricks to trainfag it up
Speaking of this, holy fuck I want what this guy has.
>>5669015

>Is he right?
Yes and no; I've seen some color variation but not enough to get annoyed about, my pre-1990 sets show more differences just from aging/fading. Quality overall has gone down though. I'm getting a lot of cracked pieces.
>>5667543
Seriously, I'd kill for a Bug set. They don't even have to release as part of the superheroes line if they weren't feeling confident that kids would buy it.
They could release it as an Ideas set like the Ecto-1, a really high end model at minifig scale for $100. They'd make their money back.

Yeah, that is a rather irksome flaw of the Space Marine helmet...
I mean, they aren't going to have many printed heads that can work with it.
I have a maybe odd request.
I see a lot of people make neat little stands for their spaceships and other flyers using technic pieces.
Anyone have any decent guides or a basic build model for these? Like a basic 1 2 3 that can be expanded and added to? Figure the heavier the subject, the more support needed obviously.

>guy gives me tracking number without me asking
>mail system says it'll be delivered by monday
>monday comes, nothing in the mail
>go check tracking number on usps
>it was delivered to a completely different address, in a completely different state
>contact BL seller about this
>he says it was a mistake, that he failed a copy/paste of my address onto the delivery forms and it delivered to a previous buyer
>he says to wait a few more days, he got the guy who got my order to go and send it to me
>sure, I'll wait a few days
>today, get my order
>look through the contents to make sure they're all there
>a small ziploc bag is damaged, missing the bottom of it like it was torn out
>a piece is missing
fuck, whatever. I didn't really need that piece anyways, it was just a filler piece to meet the minimum lot requirements
I left positive feedback anyway, since I liked how quickly they got the shipping problem resolved, but I will make sure to not order anything from their store again

At the very back on the left: Lele, better view in previous pic and definitely the worst offering of the lot, both in printing and overall quality.
In front on the left: CB, rear row seen better in previous pic, an improvement over Lele but still not quite there in both printing and quality, their philosophy seems to be GIVE EVERYONE BLUE LIGHTSABERS (all figs not depicted with one in pic did in fact also receive one with special display stand)
Middle group: Bela, newest (to me) of the SW KOs floating around here, they're basically doing straight up rips of Lego sets (for all their flaws Lele and CB at least try to add their own little touch and OC designs), would rank their printing and quality just about on par with SY
Far right: SY, the only new fig I've picked up since the others in the first pic is that Mandalorian Shadow Commando, they had a few Clone variants that I might go back for sometime. Overall the best Star Wars bootlegger of the bunch.
>>5669461
Sure thing anon, if you see Bela for cheap I'd give them a recommend as well.
the SW magazine was selling so badly they are selling 4 bags in one.(i think).
so.. who wants some Bley?
>>5669455
>a small ziploc bag is damaged, missing the bottom of it like it was torn out
does it look stretched as well? most likely it was stuck to tape or something, and the thing just fell out while one of their ham hands were ripping it out of the box
>>5669458
you have sights
on a side mounted rocket launcher
that would hit the engine if he wanted to hit something in front of him
>>5669484
actually, yeah it did. the bottom looked like it was torn out so that's a pretty good reason for that happening. stupid, but reasonable
>>5669477
Thanks. Which brand had the weird legs?
>Store had Nexo magazines
Fucking impulse purchases. I wanted to get Nexo activity book that had stickers but they flat-out disappeared in few days.
Sad irony of it all was that it would've been cheaper to actually order this from BL. The magazine is ridiculously overpriced here, 9€ a pop. At least I got some fucking postcards and a poster. Also we only seem to get every other one for some reason. Last one had Lance, we never got the hover pony. Next one has the lava monster dude.
What's the best way to do beers and drinks and stuff in bar-type builds? Just green bottle pieces, or does anyone know any other cheeky tricks that work well?
>>5669545
lego elves workshop looks like nice ink vials, use them to stock the back wall for various square fancy boozes. trans might look better, but you could easily go clear color clear for a label instead also
and obviously douchey expensive drinks would certainly fit in these perfume containers>>5669012 but i dont know about them specifically
theres also cmf vials, and i guess that "poison cup" in wu's dragon, which was just a normal pot, with a trans flat over a stud, to make new colors, but that last one isn't great
i wanna say an anon posted a few cute drinks for their coffee house or bar or somethin a few weeks back, but either i didn't save it, or just cant find it
>make a order around midnight last night
>get the invoice in like 10 minutes
>order is packed the following morning and shipped before midday

I believe it's the 4558.
>>5669076
Am I the only one who actually enjoys this?
Slight variation makes it look a bit realistic.
>>5670297
It depends on the use of the bricks. If it's literally bricks in a wall it's cool. If it's supposed to be mimicking a solid form then uniform colour is necessary for that realism.
>>5670293
