May building challenges:
>make your own Dimensions team based off of a new franchise
>create a new Music star/act for Legovision 2016, also include any instruments or stage props, and don't forget an awesome name
>wasn't there also something about animal vehicles
>build a vehicle or fleet worthy of riding into Valhalla, shiny and chrome
>greeble: remake any set or build something with an absurd amount of greebling
>build a mighty micro vehicle
(any surface type)
>up vote jangs videos
>can may be mini moc madness month: spaceship edition? yes it can
>build a brick-built animal!
>make a stop-motion / multi-frame animation
>Make a SPACE LIMO
>>5670378
First for should've been Spider-Man edition
>>5670380
Picture looks a little like that scene from Spoderman 2.
>>5670380
Sorry, I don't have a Spiderman. Only have Punisher and Thor.
>>5670390
They could have done Civil War like that. 12(!) superheroes, Crossbones, General Ross, Zemo and Sharon Carter.
>>5670332
>/lg/, I'm really leaning on trying to get the Parisian Restaurant modular, but I've one issue that's bugging me; I can't be happy unless the chef in my restaurant is Gordon Ramsay.
>Does anyone have any suggestions for minifig heads to use for Gordon Ramsay? I'm leaning on the angry President Business one at the minute, but people's suggestions/ideas would be massively appreciated.
Are you that much against fleshies?
>>5670390
Probably because of action figure licensing, same reason they haven't done a Star Wars CMF line.
>>5670390
They haven't made most of the Disney CMFs in any form yet, so they can cash in on a whole new market. The amount of super heroes they have made might hurt sales of a super hero CMF line. Don't fool yourself and say they wouldn't just make half the characters avengers or justice leaguers that we have seen for years.
>>5670396
This, sadly
I'd love Marvel CMF, but it's very unlikely
>>5670378
Should have Superman straddling the rails.
Otherwise, 8/10.
Still holding out for that Anon from the other thread to post the picture of the Rebel Frigate.
>>5670405
>Should have Superman straddling the rails.
I don't have a Superman either. I've never really been a fan of superhero shit at all until recently, and Marvel is the one I like most what with Punisher, Captain America, Thor, Nick Fury, Daredevil, X-Men and the Hulk
>>5670409
>tfw there are six (6) superhero movies this year
Which ones have you seen so far?
>>5670395
I'm not wholly against them. I'd prefer yellow, but if fleshie is the only option, it'll do.
>>5670342
The jet is actually pretty nice. I would at least look at the instructions before deciding not to get it. Also, Black Panther does (briefly) fly a jet, so I guess that's supposed to be part of his kit.
>>5670390
>why haven't they done a line of characters that already have several existing minifgures
why did you even ask this
>>5670416
>Which ones have you seen so far?
Uhhhh.. I've only seen one Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers and all of Daredevil currently on Netflix. Besides that I jump in on /k/ Punisher dumps when they're available.
>>5670429
I'd say all the three Captain America movies are pretty good, as well as the first Iron Man. The rest are varying degrees of OK.
which instruments have been made into pieces by Lego?
As far as I remember there are those rock guitars, a saxophone and a flute which is just a printed stick, anything else?
>>5670429
Whoa, nice bike.
>>5670425
Yes, it looks very decent and reasonably accurate as to what the one in the movie looked like. It's also the one I would get if I was going to get one and only one set. You can recreate the chase scene from fairly early in the movie quite easily.
>>5670438
Tuba and accordions were made for Fabuland. They are a tad large for a regular minfig, but not that bad.
>>5670438
bagpipes and i think a trumpet?
does anyone recall anything else?
is there any sort of more classically shaped guitar/string instrument instead of those star shaped rock ones?
>>5670432
>I'd say all the three Captain America movies are pretty good
See I thought the first was really good, too, but I sort of dismissed it as my appreciation for the character. I'm really itching to see Winter Soldier but I don't know anyone who owns it.
Very fucking jazzed for some of the superheroes sets I'm seeing previews of.
>>5670439
>Chainsword
Ohh shit. I gotta do that.
>>5670444
I own Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Do you live in Northern Norway?
>>5670438
Don't forget microphones, chrome trumpets and maracas from the hula dancer. That's all i can think of right now. Drumkits and pianos and stuff have mostly been brickbuilt.
>>5670450
>Do you live in Northern Norway?
Nope. Greetings from your north-american cousin though.
>>5670442
If you want like a banjo thing, one of the Frozen sets has a sticker for that.
>>5670459
That's nice. I know I have some distant relatives in that state. It could even be you, who knows.
>>5670462
>It could even be you, who knows.
If the surname Skare, Skari or Vangerud mean anything to you, it's possible.
>>5670467
No, none of those.
>>5670429
I'm not into the Lego hero line but damn that bike is beautiful. Now I might have to look into these sets.
Not sure if anyone will remember this project from a year or so ago, but I reworked the torso and arms today to fix the proportions.
>>5670484
i remember this, didn't you also make those tv headded robots and modbots?
>>5670480
Bike isn't from any of the sets, though. Some guy MOCed it.
I don't suppose anybody with train experience could tell me the length and width that this track setup would be, could they? I'd like to know, before I go buying a table...
>>5670505
I'm about to bust out my track for some train action anyway. If you give me 10 mins I can assemble enough of that design to figure it out for you.
>>5670505
Measure the length of one train piece and multiply it by 16 (length) and 8 (width).
This will be a perfect fit.
>>5670509
ur train is cute
>>5670490
yep that's me
>>5670525
oh cool, i loved those!
Using bricklink for the first time and I am uploading a XML but it has this one error I can't get rid of. I have tried multiple times but once I remove it I get an error saying it is in an invalid format. How do I fix it.
>>5670525
Good to see you're still with us, I really enjoyed seeing those swing by from time to time!
Revamped the shoulders, replaced the red around the eyes with dark blue and I'm 100% done with this thing. Also decided to name it Bythos.
>>5670530
Maybe if you pastebin the XML somebody can help your sorry ass
>>5670444
>Ohh shit. I gotta do that.
Make sure it is also ORANGE TRANSPARENT!
>>5670545
That makes sense well here it is I guess. http://pastebin.com/sCxTiD8r
>>5670505
>>5670509
OK anon, I came up with 6 feet, 6-1/2 inches long, 3 feet, 3 inches wide.
Am I the only one feeling the new Civil War set is poorly balanced?
Vision and Spider-Man are maybe the two most powerful heroes in Civil War, whereas Captain America and Hawkeye are athletic guys with medieval weaponry.
Has anyone ever ripped the textures from the Lego videogames to make custom minifigs?
>>5670550
>>5670577
>Vision and Spider-Man are maybe the two most powerful heroes in Civil War
... What? How do you figure?
>>5670594
Vision is simply overpowered, and Spider-Man has a very well-rounded power set with strength, speed, webs, spider-sense, all kinds of things. Scarlet Witch and maybe Ant-Man are in the same league.
Captain America and Hawkeye are practically non-powered.
>>5669997
>HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
>PARTS LIST!
>I must make an army of those.
It's pretty simple.
>>5670558
Thanks man!
I really like how expressive the head can be.
>>5670644
>dog
You're not fooling anyone, that's clearly one of those ponies.
>>5670621
Time to find out if /lg/ like bestiality...
>>5670654
>You're not fooling anyone, that's clearly one of those ponies.
>>5670659
>Time to find out if /lg/ like bestiality...
>>5670628
>Thanks man!
No prob famalama
>TFW you like PF trains but 9V is still superior
Holy fuck my track needs cleaning tho
Have you seen these vending machines yet? I got a weapons pack and a little missile launcher dune buggy thing!
>>5670677
I mean, if that's what people want to see, we can go there.
>>5670682
got this for about 55 dollars and chatted with the dude at the toy store about legos and the local lug, how'd I do?
>>5670684
Go there and beyond at full thrust!
>>5670682
Where did you get those?
maybe I'm just drunk but they look decent enough to make evil alien antagonists for my Lego army.
>>5670395
http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3626cpb0894#T=C
this one would be good without the stubble.
>>5670613
Scarlet Witch is the most powerful of them all in the comics, she can pull all kinds of non-sense with her "reality warping", it is basically the power to turn the hidden knobs of the universe laws in her favour.
>>5670684
Anon, stop that's so lewd. This is a christian imageboard.
>>5670684
Give those robots the piston, bolt and all.
>>5670342
If you just want the minifig I'd probably pass. Stand alone movie next?year will give you another chance at it, unless you think they'll slightly redesign in a weird way. The set did look decent though with his jet too. If it wasn't for the double up on Bucky/Cap I would have got it myself, but I don't want an army of super soldiers.
>>5670577
But they have the power of shouting "slut" on their side! Seriously though, yeah it is kind of unbalanced--but Vision is pretty much broken from my understanding so it's fucked whoever they put. That said, there wasn't really anyone else to toss into a 4th save maybe Antman, but his minifig scale set was only recently retired and lego has weird internal timelines that probably looked over it and assumed people would be fine with Giant/microman.
Given the civil war sets now I'm tempted to buy the Crossbones set to flesh out the teams even though I dislike the car design in it just because it doesn't have a Captain minifig.
>>5670687
$20 off MSRP and socializing? I'd say you did decently.
>Go to Toys R Us
>go to Lego section
>see Lord of the Rings: Five Armies Smaug set
>on the large box is a large taped note covering a noticeable tear on the box:
>Missing Dragon
I guess I can see what you mean about the ponies.
>>5670723
hah! when he mentioned ponies I thought about trying that combo. Find a printed 1x1 tile and slap it on that.
>>5670730
Dead or alive, you're coming with me.
>>5670577
>Not Ant-Man
>>5670712
BL says the captain from black panther's set is exclusive to that set
>>5670749
It's got a regular face and hair instead of the mask set, but frankly I'm not that big of a collector to care about that minor a difference. Especially not when Bucky is the same thing as the airport release.
has anyone bought from this BL store?
http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Zhihang&itemID=85296362
Pics can be deceiving so I'd like to know more about those prints and where they come from.
>>5670766
>those prices
wew lad
for a chinese seller that's pricy
>>5670555
Looks like you just need to take off that final part and then it should work. Also what you building anon those parts look a lot like some sort of large apartment.
>>5670621
That round 1x1 with hole is the best part Lego's come up with in a long while.
>>5670390
Because people only really buy the sets for the minifigs anyway. If they just sold the minifigs seperately, they would lose a lot of money.
>>5670804
It's probably the same reason as star wars, other action figure makers would throw a fit because they'd see them as competition. This is part why SW battlepacks have come with some shoddy vehicle.
>>5670797
Mega Bloks has had them for years.
>>5670797
Yes. I came back into Lego after 15 years to find that they added a ton of new parts and this is by far one of my top favorites I've encountered since then, along with the robot arm, robot clip, clip with rod hole, and mixel joints.
I made this from the mediocre Munchos
>>5670841
How long? Genuinely curious.
>>5670621
You suppose a guy could use different color 'head' brick to give it different color eyes, or does the chima helmet block too much light?
>>5670686
>>5670691
Grocery Store in Northern Cali. 75 cents gets you a pack, Plastic is Chinese k/o quality- but the weapons look like they were cast from brickarms or somebody
>>5670849
I reckon you could, though it would depend on the lighting.
But seriously this is what it looks like with a plain red head in normal lighting conditions.
>>5670874
God damn it now i want one, too.
>>5670848
Couldn't say for sure, I got into MB with the first wave of Halo sets was back in 2009 but I can't recollect what set was the first I noticed it in. I've gotten a few in random bags of bricks from thrift stores but there's usually no way to tell what sets they came from. Hadn't realized the Lego version was that old, they haven't used it much until recently eh.
>>5670861
The weapons are Minifigcat designs, presumably Chinese copies but they tend to be near or same quality from my experience.
Tell some sad stories involving getting Lego.
>See Scooby-Doo set teaser
>Get all excited
>Show my mother, she's a big fan of classic cartoons and LEGO and sheit
>Show my girlfriend as well
>Can't wait for Mystery Machine
>For my anniversary (September) get Mystery Machine from my girlfriend
>It's fucking awesome
>Love it
>Forget to show my mom
>Christmas comes around
>Open up Mystery Machine
>My mom's super excited about it
>Have to explain that I already have it
>My girlfriend bought it for me
>She has to come to terms with the fact that she's been replaced and that I'm not her little boy anymore
The worst part is that she gave it to a tricky tray instead of letting me flip it
I regret telling her, to be honest. I wanted to tell the truth, but maybe I should have just fudged it and pretended like the Mystery Machine at school was the one she bought me?
>>5670863
This is what the original photo looked like before I applied some filters, for anyone who is still interested in UV fun.
>>5670847
That's pretty cute anon. I like how the neck looks like mandibles.
Managed to carefully remove the locomotive roof. This is as far as she will give, every brick has been solidly cemented. What I see here reminds me of the "solvent" sort of glue Lego is known to use on their retail display pieces. Maybe this was a display model somewhere? The train itself is in pretty decent shape, and the passengers and station platform are like fucking new with no stickers applied.
>>5670902
>Maybe this was a display model somewhere?
I was going to ask what the story is here.
Some people treat Lego like plastic model kits. Follow the instructions to the letter, glue everything in place, miss the whole point of Lego
Predictions for future Disney figures?
>Goofy
>Pluto
>Woody
>Snow White + Dwarf or Witch
Hoping for Scrooge + Glomgold, so they'd have an old-duck head that they could use twice.
Anyone have the leaks/predictions of which some became true?
>>5670863
The head showing on the bottom of the mask was bugging me a little.
But I'm not sure this is any improvement at all.
>>5670902
Have you contacted lego themselves? I would figure, whatever glue they use, there has to be an....anti glue (whatever its called) that counteracts it.
>>5670927
Not necessarily, some of the permanent displays use MEK or other solvents that pretty much melt the bricks together.
>>5670687
I got this a week ago 20 dollars off because the store messed up and had it on sale from some reason. Manager was kinda upset but honored the mistake....wasn't planning on buying it butt my wife and I were happy :)
I Modified the Monster Fighters Vampyre Hearse set today. Tried to go for a cartoon drag car / Mad Max look. What I changed was the engine layout, I added 2 more bones to make a V8 Layout and a few other things on the engine. I lifted the car with bigger tires and higher suspension. I swapped the Exhaust Headers with chrome ones I had lying around. Will post more photos.

Def going to be one of my next purchases now that AYY LIMO is off my list.
Shit.
The hearse will become the next thing.
Hearse posting. Make it happen.
>>5670949
Never seen it, I bought the set off Bricklink specifically to mod it like this.
New build guys, it's a WIP. Kinda reminiscent of the B-Wing or Twilight, but I plan on changing things up a little.
>>5670955
I thought the cockpit turned out pretty nice.
>>5670880
The same thing happened to me but in reverse!! My mom visited California (Marine fag here)and we went to legoland. While we were there she bought me the ucs xwing. Secretly my wife had bought me that also. My wife had to return it and was very upset so she returned the ucs xwing and bought me the sith old republic ship (forgot name) and the jedi ship thing. I'm drunk so excuse my whatever
>>5670927
Ahh I'm not going to sweat it. I bought it because it's a Metroliner, not because of what I could make with it, you know? Just happy to be able to put people in the fucking thing now.
>>5670928
That's what I think was done to this. Similar glue, anyway.
>>5670880
>a tricky tray
The fuck?
>>5670971

HOW DOES ONE DEFEAT THE HYDRA?
DOUBLE FREEDOM (with a little limo tech from our space urban friend!), THATS HOW!
Acquired the set I listed after as a kid. Something about those big creator animals that makes me feel so gooey inside
>>5670880
whats with returning them if you get a duplicate? Any set is worth it for parts, or you could make a diorama with two of them, or combine them to make a huge one
Am I the only one finding Jang a bit arrogant? I was watching a video on the Hoth UCS and the Berlin city scape and he kept emphasizing how he understood the design process so well and such and how experienced a brick builder he is. All while uttering that terribly annoying snicker of him. And his ring looks like shit.
FUN IN THE BARK REVIEW!

Tiny babby is tiny!
Okay guys serious problem. While my collection is like 99% lego and 1% other bricks, I'm looking at the 2016 releases and there is not one God damn good thing about them. It's all rehashes or uninteresting blah.
At the same time the 2016 mega bloks like straight legit, just got the police pelican and vulture and the new tmnt sets are goty fan service.
Guys I'm gonna get more mega then lego this year. Mixed feels lego bros. What sets are you looking forward to?
>>5670918
>glue everything in place
Who the fuck does that.
>>5671146
Really? I find this year one fo the best year for me and I hate fact I can't buy all sets I want.
Nexo, Elves, Fun in the Park, a lot of new Creators... I saw few good SW sets and I usualy dont like SW...
Why did Lego wait so long to release modular buildings sets? I would have killed my own mother to get them as a kid.
>>5670459
Hey neighbor, I've got Winter Soldier on DVD as well as a sweet HO scale train setup and a bunch of extra imitation crab meat. Interested?

>>5671159
>tfw no comfy treehouse to live in
>>5671182
>That's where you fucked up. Someone gives you a gift, you accept it graciously. No exceptions.
Not to mention that it's Lego. Surely use can be found for the parts or minfigs or some shit.
>>5671150
The post you responded to answered that question already.
Fuck off.
>>5670697
That would be a good head, but I'm not sure I have the heart to heresy it to make it right.

The only two train sets I had were 4535 and 10020
Up until now, all I had was a few of the 9v tracks. I just purchased 60051 and I plan on getting 60052 in the next week or so. I've seen online that it's possible to convert the new rails to work with the 9v system by using foil tape, which I'm pretty sure I have a spool of that somewhere in my garage. Should I try it?
>>5671159
Interesting really? Maybe that's the problem, I normally do sw and creator maybe a few city sets, but they all look kinda meh. The red prop creator plane is like the only okay one I guess. Kinda feels bad man
>>5671191
As in, have you ever met a single person who does that?
How about you remove the Lego brick stuck in your vagina and leave your basement to get some fresh air? It always gives a new perspective on life.
>>5671231
>As in, have you ever met a single person who does that?
That is not what you said earlier. Mean what you say, produce intelligent conversation.
Despite the stickers, this set is so fucking rad it's not even funny. What sets did you guys look at that met or exceeded your expectations upon first viewing?
I seriously want like five or six of these suckers. My only complaint it that the ninja guy's (Not into Ninjago, don't know their names) part in the set seems almost like a part-count inflation.
I just finished up this wireframe cobra I have been working on. So so many black technic pins!
>>5671268
Hah, that's pretty smart anon, I like it.
>>5671268
>>5671275

>>5670777
that's what I thought, I wanted to try those fleshie heads, but they're not worth that much.
>>5671253
I've always stayed away from the line because it just seems kiddy, but this sky-pirate theme is actually the first time I've been interested. Really interesting part use and steampunk ninjas
>>5670920
I know the obvious head molds are the first thing I think of when I'm trying and guess the future CMF. That is probably a big part of it, but what about legs and arms? Donald and Daisy both use the white and orange molded legs. Mister Incredible and Micky have a different hip, but the legs are red top and black bottoms. Genie and Stitch share the same color torso and arms. Fewer colors through the machines maybe? If they made Goofy and Woody both with the longer legs and arms, they could use the same color legs. I'd guess that reusing as many parts as possible would be a large factor in who we get in the next wave. With that said, I'd bet we get a new Mickey each wave.
>>5671182
>It's a lute you goddamned pleb.
Welllll EXCUUUUUSEeeeeee Me princess. I must have missed the scene where Sven describes his lute to the world.
>>5671145
>baby arms don't move and hands can't hold anything
you had ONE FUCKING JOB!
>>5671299
Same. One note about the sky shark I gotta point out is that the cockpit doesn't lock closed. Easy enough to fix with a couple 1x1 slopes/single 1x2 slope and a 1x2 plate though.

>>5671208
>I've seen online that it's possible to convert the new rails to work with the 9v system by using foil tape, which I'm pretty sure I have a spool of that somewhere in my garage. Should I try it?
I think it's a very specific kind of foil tape.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZK77bO2xXc
Also, a 3rd-part maker is gearing up to produce electrified 9v-compatible track. His PF track has already gained wide popularity with the most autistic of us lego trainfags.
http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=123317
I mean, if you're asking me if it's a bad idea, hell no. I don't think so. I'm wrestling with the decision myself but only because I'm hung up on whether or not it's going to benefit my real autism operations in the long run.
>>5671182
>Hey neighbor, I've got Winter Soldier on DVD as well as a sweet HO scale train setup and a bunch of extra imitation crab meat. Interested?

any aussies here that have been able to pick up any of those neat 'portal' lego sets?
And any aussies here picked up some nice new sets recently? Seems like lego comes out at a really slow pace, I wish I could join in with the NAbros when discussing what is soon to come out and such..

I'm finally getting rid of my Napoleonic armies if anyone is interested. I've got a French, British, and German army. The French one has around 150 figures.

>tfw no new NEXO sets have released yet
>>5671401
If he doesn't need them anymore, he's doing a service by selling them. Keeping a ton of things you don't need for nostalgia is just hoarding.
Can someone post the Civil War Spider-Man set again?
>>5671440
Your way of thinking is really flawed there, anon. No one needs Lego, so why buy them at all?

It's not flawed at all.
He said himself that he doesn't need them.
This is coming from someone who has kept every single set they've ever had. If he needs the money more, and he's willing to sell them for it, then he simply needs the lego less.
Going to an extremely nihilistic, if stereotypical, example doesn't do any good.

There are plenty of things you can do for money. Selling possessions that you no longer want/need is one of them. Particularly possessions that sit around collecting dust most of the time, doubling the fact that you're away from them for an extended period of time.

>>5671348
Can't wait to finally make your sigfig huh
>>5671656
>>5671669
I have talked with several different stores, and I don't know if this is common knowledge. Most stores have the CMFs as a single item in there computers. So they don't order new ones because they still show up as having a ton in stock. That's why stores with high theft seem to never have CMFs. They are still in the inventory until they do a manual inventory. At least that's what I'm told.
>>5671676
interesting...i have resorted to buying some of the newest series online for cheaper than i could buy it in a store around here tbhf. $4.99 plus tax is shit
>>5671676
>>5671656 here.
I work with someone who moonlights at a particular store and that's not the case there; they just kind of fly off the damn shelf.
In my case, I work retail at a different store and can confirm that this is indeed true for high-theft items.
Best you could do is either order online, or if you're not a socially inept fuck, just talk to a manager about it. Maybe inform them how high-theft they are if they didn't already know.
If I sold CMFs in my store, I'd definitely have them under camera and be doing a regular hand-count on them.
>>5671660
They really should have gone with a corvette... I'll propably just bricklink ahsoka and be done with it. Although depending on that sets price it might be a bit pricey for my tastes
>>5671681
>If I sold CMFs in my store, I'd definitely have them under camera and be doing a regular hand-count on them.

>>5671696
Pretty comfortably, yeah.
>>5671676
what i a fairly reliable retail outlet for CMFs in your opinion? I've only ever found them at Walgreens
>>5671694
Same guy here.
My local walmart has everything BUT the CMFs up there. Including some knock-offs.
Apparently the reason the Lego isn't there is because the entire Lego isle has cameras on it.
Not that it does any good because there's almost always a broken box and no CMFs there.
Also a small clearance area with opened small sets. Although I once found a complete set that was only marked down 33% because the box was fucked.
The best luck I've found in the local stores has actually been drugstores like riteaid and cvs. Probably because the people, who I assume are stealing and/or scalping, don't think to check there often.

I actually have some questions of my own; What do you guys think of buying clearance sets and reselling them for full price online?
Along those same lines, what about buying the huge sets that the average bloke wouldn't buy save for holidays and parting them out online?
>>5672241
It's like whatever man.
>>5672241
Clearance is kinda like the store saying they couldn't find regular people to buy them. I'd say that means its fair game. As for huge sets, I'm not saying its 100% not scalping, but it is a service to the guys who aren't looking to drop $350 on a fire station from a movie that was in theaters before the guys was born. On a similar note, I think it is not evil of people to buy new sets and take the pieces they want before parting them out and selling them on-line. Really the only thing I don't approve of is buying all the sets so nobody can get them then selling them for a profit. Maybe I'm not the person you should be asking about this.
>>5672241
>the scalpers are evil meme

>>5672260
>Really the only thing I don't approve of is buying all the sets so nobody can get them then selling them for a profit.
Unless it's some limited special VIP only set there isn't really a problem with this for Lego, thankfully. Sets go on for years sometimes so there's almost always a decent price for them down the road. Those VIP only things also tend to be limited to people, so unless you're robbing a store/booth or doing shady shit to begin with it's basically you just selling at a premium for spending more money to get it in the first place. (Travel, buy quotas, etc.)
Lego in the grand scheme of things seems kind of hard to scalp. Really the only thing that comes to mind are people buying full boxes of CMF, but even then they'll just restock if it's new, and otherwise there was plenty of time to grab 'em if it's been weeks unless you have some really bad circumstances.

I just remodded my hotrod again. The changes are more subtle this time around but i think they're for the better. The chassis is lowered a bit, has wider but less high rear tires wich makes it just as tall as all my other cars. The engine section is now more narrow than the cockpit while still being structurally sound. The engine details are placed lower. The front wheels are placed closer to the body to make it a bit shorter than my other cars wich seems more realistic. Even though the the front are closer to the engine, the wheels are still spinnable. If i made the engine details wider the play in the wheels would make it rub against the rubber edges sometimes.

It's a boring 'alternate reality' meme. Or something about reality changing at some point in the past. Once it was Berenstein, now it's Berenstain.
I just need a gray alien, maybe two, and then I'll have all the CMFs I actually care about.
>>5674023
where did the blue mohawk come from?
>>5674027
Brickwarriors.
>>5673992
Evil version of a Hover-Horse I guess
>>5673599
I've got the airport set and it's pretty good. I'd say it's pretty dependant on if you like the minifigs, but the giant man is an interesting build and the quinjet is solid. Not much of an airport, but you could expand on that as the tower has some nice touches.
I can't comment on the rest, nor have I seen those movies yet to comment on any kind of accuracy, so can't help much past that.
>>5673925
>Oh, and I paid too much. But I better get used to that
You should really reconsider buying lots. Especially starting out you can save a lot of money in the long run instead of seeking individual sets out if you do it right. Even if it means only buying a lot a month instead of one set every week it'll make things easier to do.
>>5673942
I meant none posted in the thread yet, ya blockhead
>get extra Alice
>give it to my 16 year old sister
>she gives it back to me and calls me gay
Feels bad man.
>>5674108
You need a new sister.
does anyone know that site that is like LDD but completely online?
>>5674108
Wow. Just wow.
She sounds like a bitch.

Did you atleast take the high road and call her an ungrateful cunt?
Is brickwarriors a good site to buy from?
http://www.brickwarriors.com/french-assault-rifle/
Yea? Nay?
>>5674108
It's not like she wanted to share your hobbies anyways, BAKA!
>>5674141
Also: good place to get cheap Zombie heads? Want to make a lego zombie stop motion...
>>5673599
I bought the Batmobile and Batwing sets. They were pretty solid. Batwing set in particular, some very fun design there, also it comes with all the major minifigs, Supes, Bats and Wondy look great together, especially with the new dual-color molded legs.
>>5674141
>brickwarriors
They're all right.
>>5674147
Citizen Brick has custom zombie heads with red blood for $3.50 each. Bricklink might be about equal. The generic zombie head that was used as toppings for the porch pillars on the Monster Fighters mansion is usually pretty cheap (pic related).
>>5674115
You mean this site?
http://mecabricks.com/en/
>>5673942
Not a huge fan of all the blue and overall shape of the body, will prolly buy it and modify it or just completely start from scratch and try a Hulkbuster style mech. That faceplate on the mech is too sweet to pass up on and plenty of great figs/parts either way.
>>5674187
That's a great site. Thanks for sharing!
>>5674187
Yes, thank you!
>>5674141
They have some neat stuff, yeah.

>>5674298
Good quality? I'm trying to figure out why they are cheap as fuck.
Also anyone know where I could buy some tan bricks in bulk? I'm looking to make a set for a stopmotion shootout / zombie movie.
>>5674309
You can buy a KBox from Lego or you can do pick a brick if you live near a Lego store. Bricklink has a bunch of stores with tan 1 x 2 bricks for less than 10 cents. A handful of them even have more than 1,000 for sale. So, you know, just jump in.
>>5674322
Are kboxes still a thing? I saw on eurobricks that they stopped selling them
>>5674309
I've no complaints so far with the quality, a lot of the body armor pieces can restrict arm movement but it looks badass while doing it.
PaB at the Lego store here usually has tan plates and bricks, I'm sure it varies from store to store but it's that or Bricklink really.
>>5674108
you need to show her you're not gay. You know what to do anon.
should i do it?
>>5674364
only if you build a school first
>>5674364
Buy an anvil.
>>5674364
wait for a sale... there will probably be one for memorial day.
>>5674323
I bought one last September. To be fair it was an inventory clearance. Maybe some stores don't sell them anymore?
>>5674369
alright i will
book marked site as "buy shit on memorial day"
>>5674370
its $70 dollars for that, yeah? how many bricks?
Okay, I decided I don't really like the faun. I put together this SUPER YIFFY WARRIOR EDITION and he still sucks so I'm giving him away.
Interested? Post your email address, link back to this post, and in a couple days I'll pick a random one and toss this guy in the mail.
Actually it's tuesday now, I'll mail on Friday or Saturday
- no flute
- no base
+ stud shooter crossbow from ultimate lavaria set
+ 5 rounds of ammo, 1x1 round plate in trans neon orange
+ brickwarriors wolf helm in reddish brown
Anyone know a bricklink store that specializes in minifig parts? I got some minifig ideas I would like to fulfill.
>>5674373
I tried really hard to keep a good count of the bricks I used from that box. So, I am very confident that my total was 2,230. I also got it for $20. They said the normal price is $100. But still let's say you got less, maybe 2,000, thats $100 / 2,000 = 5 cents a block. Pretty decent bargain.
>>5674392
http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=amerryventure comes to mind, I ordered from them a couple times.
Beyond that I recommend just making a wish list and searching by stores.
>>5674364
Buy an anvil chorus.

I haven't ordered from here, but they have the cheapest prices on some parts I was looking for. They also have non production colors of some parts if you're into that sort of thing.
Alright, now someone who's not a fuckwit make a new thread.
>>5674309
>>5674141
they're good quality, but their main problem is everything is either monochrome, or one of like 6 colors, but still high detailed
dark colors just lose all their detail at a distance but if they have something you want, they are indeed good. just dont expect it to blend seamlessly with actual lego
>>5676092
Ah okay thanks. I'll keep in that in mind.
>>5676109
>>5676109
>either monochrome, or one of like 6 colors
i meant "just black, or one of 6 other colors" but you seem to have got what i meant
their black is the worse offender by far though. i like the company, even those shitty little costume packs they sell in tru's, but i can see 3 pieces i got from them on my desk right now that i hate.
they're are all black versions of a piece
>>5674388
I actually really dig that, not tried any BW but I've always liked their medieval fantasy stuff.
