so a month after I ordered, my klocki arrived
I think this is done, at least until we get red mixel joints.
styled mostly after EoE and the tv series, but I gave it a hat anyway

hey /toy/ I need some advice
I collect vinyl designer toys and like to display them on my shelves.
But a lot of them are oddly proportioned and prone to falling over at the slightest bump, one of them even stands on functional roller skates. And some I just cant get to stand on their own at all.

So my question is, what can I do to keep my figures standing? I don't want to glue them to anything obviously, but maybe sticky tack some kind of custom bases? Sorry if theres some sort of obvious solution I'm just not thinking of.
Thanks in advance.

Take a heatgun or a hairdryer and go at the feet, the place them on the flat surface you want, then take a fan and cool them down again.

beyond damaging shit you'll probably pay hundreds of dollars for, I'd suggest blutac or poster adhesive strips

they even make the former in little circles, or you can cut out whatever shape is called for yourself.

Only casuals think that'll cause long term damage.

I am kind of pissed about this. Past years you could get things on Matty after the con, but they've said nothing about that this year. Making a lot of people worried and kinda pissed at Mattel.
>>
People who decided this deserve to get killed.
>>
Meh. I wanted the new kittens. I guess I'd rather never have them at all than feed Mattel's greed for SDCC exclushits.

I already preordered it but man I'll be saving up for sure. Fuck. Preordered right before it closed.
>>
>>5719962
I'm pretty poor these days, but fuck it, I preordered this the moment the reissue went back up. You don't even know man...I passed on this the first time because I thought it was too pricey, and then I slowly suffered more and more as my desire grew along with the aftermarket price. Soon it was averaging like $200 and I felt like a fucking idiot for passing on it. Now I feel like I've got a second chance, and there is no way I'm throwing that away.
>>
>>5719962

I have it from the first run. It's pretty great but there were definitely improvements made for the regular/red version. Hopefully they're carrying those improvements over to the reissue cause it was mostly like joint tolerance type stuff that they definitely could.

Mafex Armoured Batman, Should I pull the trigger on it?

Granted it's not as detailed as HT, but for the price of Mafex it seems daft not to buy it.

How are Mafex, generally speaking? And has anyone else here preorderd it?

That would be sweet as an alternate head sculpt.

The Armoured Batman seems to be lacking accessories, only has a grappling hook advertised in promo.

But I think we will see a kryptonite spear, because the figure was advertised before the actual movie, therefore Mafex couldn't reveal key plot moments.

I used to. I worked as an overnight stocker, and a black shirt stocker during the holidays a few years back. Wasn't bad except for the pay, and very little forgiveness for learning where the product is. At least at my location. They expected you to be very knowledgeable about products from the get-go. Co-workers were mostly cool. Customers can be a pain-in-the-ass, but that is anywhere that has customer service. Just learn to not let it bother you.

used to run the "R-zone" back in 06-08.

started as a stocker, went up to cashier, got sent to video games, and then started running the section. The launch of the Wii was fucking crazy and every Wii shipment made the place a madhouse through all of 2007.

Managed to get every single Marvel Legend in the last few Toy Biz series.

It might be that they are inept, OR it might be they are paranoid of losing sales from their core product.
I quit playing 40k when the first Dawn of War came out, I'm sure other people would quit if they could just buy nicely detailed, articulated versions of their favorites.
>>
>>5715910

...i doubt this, you cant really play the game with a single large action figure...
>>
>>5715917
Did someone say you were only allowed to buy one figure? Are you retarded?
Besides that, you know there are tons of people that buy and paint minis, but don't play, right?...

>Icons delayed AGAIN

seriously what the fuck is the deal here? Mattel has shat out two ML waves and a bunch of WWE shit since the last batch of DC toys. Even when the next icons wave hits it'll probably be even more unposeable garbage than before.

Why does DC take so much time to produce subpar products?

Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here
>Check the BST threads, My Figure Collection for any offer/deal

The S shape is always good advice though. The basic idea is that straight lines tend to look stiff.
