is there any toy that has been around for 10 years or more that hasn't gotten tied into or has has special editions relating to movie/video game/comic book/tv show/cartoon

Are there any toys that have only always just been

And I'm not talking about the wooden dolls the old guy at your local farmers market makes. For the sake of this argument, the toys need to be mass produced and have to have been at one point or another, easily obtained

The only thing I can think of is the Slinky. Maybe Lincoln Logs

A good example of a toy having a "tie in" is Mr. Potato Head. While there are still normal Potato Heads being made, they had Transformers and Star Wars potato heads for sale a few years ago.

All of them need to happen. I'm curious why they chose "generic cowboys" they're a bit overpriced to use a lot as fodder. One Earp expy and a thinly veiled Quigley expy that has yet to be unlocked. It has a lot of potential but I dunno. Some of the sculpts are kind of shit, proportions are a bit off. We'll see how it goes I guess.

Glyos isn't dead, it's just asleep.

The fandom definitely seems like it's a bit exhausted though. Even with Ni unofficially out, $4H officially out, and Kent averaging two releases per year there's a lot of shit constantly coming out and the backlogs are starting to get big.

What does /toy/ think of 3d printed figures?

Worth the investment as a hobbyist to get a 3d printer to get some neat stuff, or do not enough people make stuff to justify it?
