SD Group Build

Rules:
Pick up an SD anything, plane, Gundam/other MS, whatever, if it's generally an SD it counts (so I hope to see someone do a D-Style). Obviously, per all group builds, you'll want to paint it.

Good news! A kind anon has purchased some prizes for the group build. He has decided to do a random drawing rather than judge them like I did in the previous group build. Winners will be contacted via email.

For those curious, I intend to start the secret Santa signups on October 1st.

A few things:
-Use an active email, I don't want to be hounding you and then have to repair someone.

A new option, Cards Only. If you pick this you're assumed to be willing to ship international (it's a card after all). It doesn't have to be a handmade card, just something nice. Of course handmade is nicest, but not everyone has the skills for it.

I love Furby and still have mine from the original line in the 90s but gave Connect a pass. I tried the app out and didn't enjoy it at all, didn't see how getting the toy would have improved the experience. From videos, it's all bumping, farting, pooping, and being "wacky".

Just bought a Hatchimal. No regrets.

You could probably go into the Customs thread and ask about commissioning, and similarly, you'll get results if you just google custom figure building/commissioning.

Most of the stuff I've found is using existing figures as bases. I don't want that, I want a custom molded/cast figure but I can't find very many people who do it.

My SHF Jango just arrived today. Mine isn't flimsy. It isn't as posable as I thought it'd be but I still like him more than my Black series Boba Fett so I'm happy. Could definitely be better especially for the price but I don't mind.

I only played with it for a bit, I'll return with more thoughts when I have more time to mess around with him.

The SHF looks better proportioned as well as having a nicer paint finish and a sculpt that actually looks like a person wearing an actual outfit (the BS Jango surprisingly looks way too wrinkled when I compare it to movie screencaps), but that's about it.

Going off of the review though, the BS Jango does seem like the generally better option given its overall sturdiness, unmasked head and cheaper price for what you get. I can see the SHF's flaws being easily remedied with some basic modding (tightening the joints and making his gauntlet accessories fit better) but given its price you shouldn't even have to do that. I do hope his unmasked head comes with someone else given how they've done the same with SHF Vader.

Seems more like an issue with the collectors than toys.

I've seen good displays before (in a Detolf), but said collectors were smart enough to not put too many on one shelf and use acrylic risers.

Yeah, pretty much my sentiments.
Really want 6 inch FF character figures, but we're gonna need the line to also improve in quality.

It doesn't look great so far, but yeah I hope it looks better closer to release. 6 inch Kingdom Hearts figures are all I've ever wanted.
