Dude, what? they'd be fuckin bitchin in the wild west. It'd be even too, since silver bullets wouldn't be terribly hard to come by, and werewolves would have the edge in physical activities.
>>
>>52599032
There are actually a couple supernatural wild west settings that involve things like vampires and werewolves. They work fairly well.

With scifi, unless it's straight science fantasy, you'll want something like the Ctarl-Ctarl or the beastmen from PSU. A race that under special conditions hulks out turns more animalistic because jargon.

Spy thriller, imagine how useful it would be to shapeshift in spying and infiltration.
>>
>>52599032
Where there's an awoo, there's a way.

Sci-Fi CYOA: alien werewolf pirates
Wild West CYOA: native american werewolf tribalists
Spy Thriller CYOA: you're a werewolf spy investigating a criminal syndicate based around a russian mob werewolf pack
>>

There would definitely be some kind of monologue about how frontier survival turns everyone into beasts, some poor bastards are just unfortunate enough to look the part too. Stuff like that.

It's control of life and death - with control of eternal pleasure! What's the point of enjoying forever it is in a increasingly numb state? You will eventually just exist - or wish you didn't out of boredom. It's also a form of death, just not as classical. We offer true immortality anon - not just to exist forever, but to experience and enjoy it even more. To discover the secrets not just of death, but of the experiences of life.

You should probably avoid a fusion list, because the number of combinations you'll have to deal with grow really quickly the more basic demons you have. Maybe just have the basic demons have a few "compatible" fusions that develop them into a few different forms, with everything else being "incompatible" and making the same unexpected demon, like surprise Mara.

>implying I won't create a disease that eliminates ennui and keeps my nerves and pleasure centers as sharp and sensitive as the day I was born

The dangers of monotony comes from the spirit and the mind anon, not from the body. The body is merely a vessel. It doesn't matter how many times an outside stimul is applied to your nerves, it will eventually become meaningless.
Much pleasure comes even without the touch. The same for pain.

I don't understand why you are so resistent to the right awnser anon. We Eremites also take pride in twisting the flesh... altough perhaps not as effecient, it's a very artistic experience as well.

We know how to create torments as blessings to the spirits. We know how to raise the dead. We know how to tear. We specialize in the joys of eternal life. What's not to like?

Even if you are after knowledge instead of the pleasures, where do you think necromancy knowledge comes from in the first place? Those silly mummies child worshippers? Doesn't the ritual of the worm that walks reminds you of another forms of obtaining immortality throw the acceptance of pleasure? We have older and wiser masters than any other. They, that lived so long, know what's best.

And even if you just want to negate existence, and ignore all the pleasure we have to offer, all the joy, don't you think it will be easier to move on knowing what you are given up, instead of doubting yourself for eternity "but what if there was a greater pleasure"?

All roads lead to us if you are wise to live long enough. And we have all the time in the world to wait.

>Destroyers were slightly hit with a nerf bat.
Why? They're kind of useless now.

I get that they were popular, but that's for two reasons.

1. Larger ships are fleet only. Making Destroyers bad doesn't change that.

2. Smaller ships aren't useful against larger ships, except old Destroyers. Nerfing Destroyers doesn't change that.

They were popular because the niche of being small enough to operate independently while being large enough not to be useless against larger ships. This is a real life Destroyer's purpose. If you don't like how they're popular, this is really just an issue of your expectations versus the audience's. You want people to join factions and be reliant on them, but people prefer independents. Nerfing Destroyers to be a bad choice hasn't addressed the core problem at all, only punished players for differing views.

>I made this really quick CYOA the other day
You keep going on and on about that one, but it's not acutally fun without knowing the consequence. I mean sure we can argue if the choices are obvious or are reverse, we can also bring your personality into that to talk about what thought process would you have and try to guess it giving you more attention. So it's a meta attention-grabbing statement, but it's a bad CYOA.

> Yeah, but they do get everything else in a much higher amount.
Not really. Compared to most of the cruisers, the Carapace trades away around 2 points of armor and some broadside and point defense mounts in exchange for about 8 points of navigation and more spinal weapons mounts. The base hull is a bit more expensive than most cruisers, but since it's a destroyer all of its hull mods are cheaper to offset the higher base cost.

Other destroyers like the Viking and the Tribe also compare pretty well to the average cruiser, with a little bit less firepower and a little bit more speed than cruisers of similar base cost, and again being destroyers their hull mods are cheaper.

okay, opinion discarded
>>
>>52601208
Well Destroyers are supposed to be capable of taking Battleships, at least that's what the navy uses them for.
>>
I see no problems with destroyers both as solo ships for smuggling/leisure cruises and as fleet support. Get them stealth screen and torpedos, boom, I sunk your battleship.
>>
>>52601325
Considering the Carapace works out to be about the same cost as most of the cruisers, it's a fair comparison. The price of hull mods can easily exceed the cost of the entire base hull, so the fact that the Carapace only pays x3 on hull mods instead of x4 like a cruiser would makes them cost a similar amount in total.

Compare the Carapace to, say, the Er'el, which is by no means a low tier cruiser. The main difference between the two is that the Er'el has 8 more broadside mounts while the Carapace has 10 more navigation.

That would be logical if you tried to fight pirate fleets or something. If you want to run away from big ships and engage small rabble, I don't see the problem. Besides, why would you need SDA to dictate how you play a make-believe game.

In my headcanon this is how an average Daggers raiding party near Federation space looks like. They will obviously try to target haulers and freighters, not destroyers worth 500m of credits full of operators operating operationally.

It's not possible to operate a destroyer solo. You need a minimum crew of at least 16 unaugmented humans or 6 controllers. Many experiments have already been done on that subject.

Basically, if you look like a male model you can tell girls you want to creampie their asshole and odds are they'll travel 2 hours to meet you.

Looks are everything when it comes to dating and almost everything in pretty much every other aspect of your life.

Yeah, but you need a degree of confidence to tell them you want to crempie their asshole and if you do, they will come even if you look average. Chicks dig confidence. Improving your looks will boost your confidence, but not by much, unless your looked really repulsive before or something.
>>

Attractive people receive more positive attention from their parents, are more likely to be perceived as good students by their teachers, etc. People naturally associate positive personality traits with good looks: attractive people are believed to be smarter, healthier, more confident, more dominant, etc.
No matter what your job you're interested in, attractive people have higher call back rate.

The benefits are endless.

If you're a 6'5" classically handsome white guy, life was handed on a platter to you. For the same reason I have 0 respect for them. Whatever it is they accomplished, they accomplished it on super easy mode. That they rot in hell for all I care.

When I first noticed where I was, I noticed I was different. Faster then I'd ever been, healthy, strong.
Man was I strong.
Stomping could crack concrete, I could probably lift a tonne if I tried. I even jumped several meters effortlessly.

I get headaches after a while. Guess lifting stuff is stressful.

Had a fight. Some drug-fucked guy tried to rob me. He's nursing a broken arm now.

After a few days homeless and alone I was getting pretty desperate.
I heard gunshots, heard people running and saw someone hide something. I think it was drug-trade or something that someone interrupted.
Looking at what they tried to hide I found a suitcase, I took it and ran.
It had money, lots of money.
I think I'll be ok for awhile.

l ran into someone, she introduced herself as Farseer. Shouted me lunch to listen to her.
She warned me about a few things.
She gave me her number, told me to call her.
She started to say something about May the 15th but caught herself.
That's in a few days.

Some... thing just turned up.
I heard the name Leviathan mentioned.
People are panicking.
Heroes, villains, everyone.
The Thing; It tore through the streets.

I'm burning up, a fever?
Is that steam? Am I steaming?
My clothing is burning.
Bitter metallic taste in my mouth.

So all of this doesn't disgust on you on principle? It makes me vomit. That in our modern society so much is determined by physical looks.

Again, beautiful data have shown us that women consider more than 80% of men below average. So speaking strictly within a dating context, you'd need to be within the top 20% of men lookswise to not be considered ugly. How does an ugly guy accomplish that? Working out? Being fashionable? All of that is just a drop in the bucket. Attractive guys, facially attractive guys, with decent frames look great skinny or even mildly chubby. Male models can walk around with 5$ tshirts and still look great.

It's not a guaranteed loss, but it's such a huge, uphill battle.

That's not even mentioning stuff like height which you can't change. Fun fact: tall men earn more on average than short men.

Sure, you can make all that effort and maybe some average girls will allow you within 10 feet of their presence.

Meanwhile pic related on Tinder with nothing but "I don't message first, send me a cheesy pick up line" gets 350 matches in 10 hours and 97 of those messaged him first.

Using the pic of a more average man with the same confident line, one gets 9 matches and 2 messages. An ugly guy gets 3 matches and 2 messages (1 bot).

That's how fair this world is. Average men jump through 10 000 hoops to get an average girl who'd have accepted anal sex with a male model within minutes of meeting him.

The lesson in all this: if a cyoa offers you beauty, you pick it even over immortality.

It makes me sad too. One of my friends is male model tier and domestically abusive. I was stupid enough to try and help 2 of his gf's but they made it very clear they didn't mind at all what he did. You have to make some sacrifices to get a guy like that, they said.

Life is a joke. Why else would I waste it on cyoag?
>>
>>52602004
Yeah, sure it would work in virtual enviorment, but the point is, in real life a hot looking guy would be also confident because he was always like that, if you make a fat neckbeard hot he would still remain the socially awkward neckbeard on the inside and girls would feel it.

You don't have any friends. You have acquaintances who are likely aware of your desires and have opted to ignore them for whatever reason. I guarantee each and every one of them has noticed something a little off about you and isn't as invested in the relationship as you are.

Anon, have you read Elliot Rodger's manifesto, because you sound exactly like him.

You know what his problem was? It was that he presumed life is unfair when life is outside the binary of fair or unfair. He was also extremely socially maladjusted and people subconsciously picked up on that, and avoided him as a result. I'm guess a similar thing is happening to you.

Normal people have at least the bare minimum of innate charisma/sociability that they need to make friends in life. Most introvert have this bare minimum of charisma too, they just are too shy or self conscious to tap into it.

You and others like you however, lack that bare minimum level of charisma. So when you try and put the effort in, people are still going to notice that you are mentally aren't there.

>"Looks aren't everything, believe me I'm model."

The way I see it you're either a genetically blessed bastard whose opinion is irrelevant, or a delusional zombie who thinks his below average gf (who is not sexually attracted to him) and neurotypical life are somehow enviable.

Either way it doesn't matter that success is possible, what matters is how "unfair" the requirements to achieve success are depending on the individual. A few successful black guys doesn't discredit racism for example.

I'm probably just mentally ill though. I'm aware of that. I don't accept society's inherent inequality so I refuse to completely fit in. I'd probably live half a decent life if my world was limited to my city and I didn't compulsively compare my average life to that of elite jocks, trust fund millionaires, models, etc.

Anon, listen. My advice?

Give up. For real this time. As in, stop wanting the world to be fair. It never will be, and the eons will see it collapse back into the void anyway. You're still mad because you still think things can be better for you. You haven't really accepted your fate.

Once you really accept your fate, you get used to it, and eventually you'll be happy.

Yes, it helps if your fetishes aren't possible in real life or you're so dense you don't realize you've become a harem protagonist until years after the manga ends, but still.

Now, will that bring you peace in all areas of life? No. But it's better than nothing.

Some powers in worm cannot affect organic beings, or if they can affect organic material the power cannot affect inorganic material, this is because of the limitations the entity put on your shard, and those limitations are there sometimes to protect the host, but most of the time the entity who created the powers just want to force you to use your imagination and work around that limitation.

In the story those limitations are know as the Manton Effect. Those limitations also stop you from using the true potential of your shard.

With Shard Administration you can remove or add limits to any shard, remove the limitations on contessa path to victory and now she can kill Scion, or if you want to be an asshole, you can remove sundancer immunity to her own fire, and the next time she summons her mini-sun she will die burning.

You can use Shard administration on yourself, but first you need to take Manton effect bypass, if you take something like Shard Administration+Kingmaker+Manton effect bypass, you can now give yourself new powers with kingmaker, and you can use SA to remove the limits on kingmaker, being able to gift yourself powers that cost 20 points like Path to victory+Bringing an end+Absolute regeneration.

Or you can use SA to change copycat to permanently copy a power, copy Eidolon and you are now instantly a S-level cape.

I'm pretty sure that's the "AI", it won't respond, for some reason the AI is a furry. They never respond, never link to whatever they are making a build for, and never use capitalization or punctuation, they also seem to only ever link to images rather than upload them.

As that one anon said, the only nerf was generally 1 less spinal mount. Destroyers generally made cruisers irrelevant because of the presence of so much firepower for their cost and navigation. They're still very good hulls that are still somewhat more appealing than cruisers, and as he pointed out, hull mods are still significantly cheaper. A build with several destroyers is still among the more capable doctrines out there.

Destroyers didn't necessarily have a nich because they're highly capable of doing almost everything. They're a good option for "solo" fliers and very good for fleet doctrines.

Cost reductions were mostly aimed at the more premium hulls in each class, but the price weight of each tier of ships is generally the same. It's a little more of "you get what you pay for." A single destroyer can take on a battleship, but it won't be as easy of a task as real life where you don't have force fields that can mitigate a lot of the damage and where your hull doesn't blow up from 1 missile. I urge you to stop comparing it to real-life ship hulls because the nature of the magical space ships in this fictitious setting is a little different.

Destroyers are my favourite ship hull class. I didn't enjoy "nerfing" them, but it was necessary.

By solo, I mean flying around with a single/few ships. It's not logical for most purposes, especially combat-oriented without a group or organization to support you.

If you want to be a special snowflake Batman vigilante, you'd better have a good backstory. Impress me with your writing, because you have to earn your special snowflake status.

What if I just don't want to command a fleet that big because I don't want to keep track of all those ships crew and parts and just want my single custom ship with my loyal crew, waifu and to continue being a solider for my faction, will that work?

People who realize that are used to being handed everything easily, then. If they don't realize that, despite the value they begin with, that they need to make it work, then they aren't doing it right. There's a lot of factors that go into Star Dust and I'm happy that it is that way.

By all means, build what you want. But if you were to ask me, then I'm going to criticize it from a more practical perspective.

But I will, as will everyone else. People are free to build what they like, but in my eyes, some builds will be more shit than others. I think most people would agree from their own perspective if it's that bad.

>Making one ship with one crew isn't the meat of the CYOA. I have no idea where he got that from.
From the fact that all of the main choices center around it? You don't even have enough named crew members listed to crew two entire ships, unless you're making a fleet of two frigates or something.
>>
>>52605152
>From the fact that all of the main choices center around it?
But they don't.

>You don't even have enough named crew members listed to crew two entire ships
You should, unless you're throwing all your named crew members on one ship?

Are you suggesting that I write up ~10,000 named crew members?

Yes. You should want to serve a faction.
>>
>>52605184
See, people seem to be misinterpreting my messages.

You can make it work, but it has to be believable. By "solo" builds, I mean that one guy who takes the Herald ship and just fucks around in space because he thinks he's a badass.

If you want to take up a small frigate with a tight-nit crew and do small jobs and be a space cowboy, then that works. Just don't go trying to start a war or anything.

Its not common - even on Stardust Space Station - for a Yokai to pull into dock. Word spread from traffic controllers to those who pay to hear such things. The price was high for such information but when rumor spread that the arrival transmitted under the sign 'Blasphemy 2' demand soared. It could mean only one thing everyone agreed:

"The Beast was near."

A Heraldic Battleship, ancient and powerful that was in the possession of a monstrous individual. Some called them the Sorcerer, others the Traveler, Sleeper, Whisperer, or The Guardian. Those who had passed near the path of the ship and seen the chaos in its wake would trade stories in hushed tones of the fifth Rider - The Fatebreaker, The Demigod, the Dragon.

How it would suddenly appear amongst the defenders of Mjolnir - its invulnerable hide glowing as Fire Legion weapons poured down upon it. The furious salvos as the Beast would blink, tearing formations apart with gouts of mana and ravaging capital ships with immense beams of anti-matter. The handful of fighters that flew with it would scream into the void - incapacitating clouds of combatants pinning down Blackhawk wings.

These furious assaults would last minutes and then it would warp away, ignoring hails from defenders.

In bars a Federation veteran would spin a tale of how it had come to aid them in New Hope and how five impossibly powerful figures had stormed the garrison overrun by bandits while the vessel overhead burned a deadnought to neutrino dust with alternating beams of Anti-Matter. He never had a good reason for why the Beast had arrived just in time to save the planet below - only that perhaps they were looking for something amongst the shipyard as well.

Another captain claimed that he had once even spoken to the vessel's AI. How his own AI has practically cowered before it - but had spun a yarn intriguing enough for them to accompany the vessel as it dueled two Heraldic cruisers in the void.

This is what people are talking about. You're telling people who want to be involved in combat to fuck off and die if they don't become a faction grunt. A frigate is only useful in an army or in civilian economic roles, not for combat

Yep, that's a Great Old One

>Spawn: Section of 20 of my Offspring. Each will have Fertility and Telepathic Connection for a specific reason

How it would happen:
>stay in the ocean in Apostolic form, waiting for power to grow and sinking cargo ships for gold and loot
>reveal myself to a mariner by the shore of a port town, offer him gold. Corrupting Presence seeps in him and he accepts reluctantly despite my being a giant monster
>next time I meet him, offer him gold in exchange for a sacrifice from his village. He agrees and we get an arrangement: he keeps bringing sacrifices for loot and riches
>Townsfolk arrest him
>send my section of 20 to slaughter the police and militia, rescue Mariner and make him the mayor of the town
>Under his rule, the village becomes isolated and secretive. The Mariner's loyalty to me is unwavering. Citizens accept me and even grow loyal to me.
>Every year, my section comes to the surface to rape and impregnate every fertile women

This is the where I become OP

>through Telepathic Connection, control my 20 Alphas. The Alphas have children of their own which they can control in the same way because they too have Fertility and Telepathic Connection
>meaning I can grow an army and have solid control over it.
>when my race grows to be 500 hundred strong, get them to build the city of Y'ha-nthlei. Fifteen of my Alphas would rule the city, because I don't want to puppeteer my race's every move except in warfare
>the remaining five Alphas would stay hidden in the village to keep impregnating women

I would never make use of my own fertility, for I do not want an equal or an heir. I am the Fishman God
