I have found it amusing the few times I have seen people insist kitsunes were not waifus in mythology and everyone is using them wrong when that was how they started. Though I personally prefer the magical manipulative sociopathic serial killer version that must consume human organs to survive.

I also prefer vampires to be bits of both sides. The ones in control, the older ones who have been at it for decades or even centuries, should be horrible monsters that just look and basically pretend to be human. Newer ones can be whatever, near-mindless bloodthirsty monsters until they get through that stage or "why can't I stop chewing on people this is horrifying", I like either. As long as there are actual downsides to being a vampire I don't care.

It seems like no one can decide how werewolves work. If they lose control they only work as one offs, but if they retain their personality then you walk the line of no downside for huge gain, which doesn't make it much of a curse. I like the way WoD does it with them having control but being so pissed off at the world that they sometimes can't help themselves and fuck shit up. Also that their goal is to be eco-terrorists is something I find amazing. I decided in my setting they get to be spawned from an old extremist elf cult that believes all civilization should end, with the first weres retaining control and those several generations of affliction underneath them (via bite) eventually just being the normal "goes apeshit at full moon" kind. Easy set up for an organization dedicated to hunting them to exist.

I also love the Wendigo and at least two things just made them yetis which I hate. But other than that no one uses them so it doesn't matter anyway.

That really isn't the case. Studios that have the capability typically target maintream audiences and make films. There are, however, fewer of these studios, and they require more manpower in general.

The smaller studios that churn out type B series can do so because the standards are lower. Further down the line are the hentai studios, that get away with some genuinely lazy animation and often rely on shot-by-shot adaptations of manga. Still, there are more hentai titles produced than any other type of anime (largely because they're only one or two episodes long).

These aren't hard and fast rules, but looking at how the money is spent, the focus of anime remains on mainstream audiences, because that's where the money to be made is. The Type-B/Hentai anime end up with more titles overall, but that's because they're cheaper to make and can be made by smaller studios (and also rarely go beyond 13 episodes for type B and 2 episodes for H).

I've always wanted to make a setting that had both perfect waifu Kitsunes and serial killer Kumiho running around mildly commonly somewhere, so you never knew which one you got. Instead I guess I wrote a setting that is a hundred years after that when witch hunts drove the Kitsune either extinct or permanently into hiding, and Kumiho secretly control a few prominent positions in one nation's government. That nation happens to have a rather harsh justice system in some areas and several prisons loaded with petty criminals, for whatever reason.

I guess if I ever ran a campaign in that area for weebs they would probably just assume all fox girls were kitsunes, so maybe there's still hope.

Dirreni is just the name for a bloodline famous for great Breton kings and battle mages, I don't believe they're the predecessors to ALL Bretons, just a key to the conquest and development of the culture.

The Khajiit claimed they were the descendants of Azura altering some Bosmer into an even better race, but Thalmor deny it with their history of discovering Tamriel and Khajiit before Bosmer even existed. Of course the Dragon Break means they could both be true.

I don't remember where I read it, but it said that these mer-looking breeds of Khajiit could interbreed with mer and/or men. It was probably in UESP, so don't take it seriously.
It seems uncanny that a race with presumably no common background with mer can look exactly like one of its subspecies, namely Bosmer. I really do believe Azurah got some early mer and altered them to make the Khajiit.

The rationale you've given is mainly applicable to elves, which really are frequently depicted as cute girls. In other words, while I think there exists a faction with a consistent attitude ("make it more hostile or alien to human beings"), I strongly doubt there's any identifiable unified trend or influence it's directed against, let alone some sort of majority /tg/ consensus in favor of cute lolis. Anime serves as a scapegoat because it contains cute things, waifus, and light-hearted stories; as this thread demonstrates, it's really those elements of anime which the "monsters should be monsters" complains about.
