>>
>>76241811

Because calling high functioning autism and borderline retarded will need 24/7 for the rest of his life autism a different name didn't occur to anybody so far.

Therefore it's a spectrum.
>>
>>76241811
they revised it recently, I forget the exact reasoning but something along the lines that treating autism, asperger's and other things as separate disorders was actually hurting our understanding of it.

Vettel really is a devious little shit, isn't he?

From last year, about Ferrari re-signing Kimi:

>Vettel, meanwhile, was pushing for Raikkonen to stay. They get on, there are no intra-team politics, and they like similar things from a car. And, cynics would say, Vettel knows he has Raikkonen handled.
>What did Vettel make of the decision to keep Raikkonen?
>"I think it was the right call," he says. "We know our primary target is to catch up so we need to be all aligned and pushing in the same direction."
>He describes Raikkonen as "the least complicated" team-mate he has had in F1.
>"In general I got along with all the team-mates I had," the German says. "Here and there we had some difficulties but with Kimi there are no politics. That is good. It keeps everything quiet.
>"We put our own egos aside. They are not so big. I would say Kimi and I have the least ego problems of the whole paddock, which is good for the team. We race hard but outside the car there is no problem."
>And his driving skills?
>"He is a world champion for a reason," Vettel says. "He could have been a multiple world champion if the early years of McLaren gave him a better car. He is one of the best drivers we have on the grid, no doubt."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/36805573

Everyone spouts so much bullshit. As if Ferrari/other teams knew the effect of the overcut at the specific situation. Case in point: Verstappen being pulled in (too) early as well. Ferrari was just covering both strategies just like Red Bull, and for both of them it turned out wrong for their drivers because the overcut was significantly better and their other two drivers put in monsterlaps. Ferrari didn't just sabotage Kimi and Kimi isn't slow. His laps were not strong enough to cover for the risk Ferrari took, that's it.

>>
>>76246570
>>76246570
99% of the time the undercut is faster. People would have been raving mad if Vettel had pitted first, even if kimi won. People are idiots for arguing that keeping vettel out was some plan to take the win from Kimi.
>>
As a Vettel fan I knew the pit stop would be the only chance for him to win. Watching live timing you could see him close up the gap, it looked like he was preparing for the pits and positioning for the over/under cut. It was his plan to win the race the whole time, it had to be, it was his best and safest chance to take the lead. And wow did he, those purple sectors were awesome, he won that race on merit.

Kimi and his engineer were upset because holy shit, this was Kimi's best chance at ending a very long drought and they couldn't convert his pole.

I'm sure Ferrari were relieved that Vettel took the win and I'm sure they felt as though his salary is money well spent.

As a side note, it's always seemed sketchy as fuck that Coulthard gets shill money from Red Bull, particularly when he's at publically funded broadcasters

>>76248887
I actually agree. It's moves like that that made me a fan in the first place, and why seeing him get solidly beaten (Monaco notwithstanding) by a hack babby is so depressing.
>>
>>76248959
Lmao
Kimi is fuckig average with occasional good performances and a one hit wonder WDC.

Vettel is a machine of consitent fast laps and he passes anyone if there is a minimal chance. Best driver on the grid by far.
>>
>>76249129
Kimi went past his prime when he became WDC, before that he was pretty great. Same thing happened with Hakkinen.
>>
>>76249335
This.

His current performance reminds me of ShoeMaker's return as well, except he'd obviously trained far harder so it hit him later in life.

>>
>>76249335
>>76249428
Its hard to consider someone good if he only had a couple of good seasons. Even in 2007 he clearly was not the best driver on the grid.

Now look at Vettel, sure he had some off years like 2014 and 2016, but in both those cases he was not challenging for the championship.

Take 2017, only 1st and 2nd place finishes for him and always on pace with the winner, just like when he won all his championships. Consistently fast and always on pace, no excuses.

Meanwhile Hamilton and Kimi are all over the place on performance even with the best cars on the grid.
>>
>>76249510
>off years like 2014 and 2016
So the years he either the year he had a decent teammate, or when he didn't have a front-running car?

The Merc is clearly hard to set up, and although he has natural pace, Hamilton is too much of a conceited, lazy cunt to bother working on setup. And Kimi is old and past his prime. Fair point about whether we should consider Kimi a great when he hasn't had that many strong seasons.

Just some NZ media type ones. For example the tail end of the New Hub review.

>And then of course, his late wife Patty. Former Miss Caroline Bay in Timaru and the love of Bruce McLaren's short life, she died during the making of the film. The judicious and empathetic use of her interviews were an intimate insight into the man behind the wheel, and were of course incredibly emotional to watch.

>But it came down to McLaren's oldest mates to break our hearts. Filling in all the gaps between the race wins and losses, the building of the McLaren cars, the brand, and ultimately the team and the legend McLaren is today, these men paid tribute to the friend they loved the best way they knew how, telling his life story simply, with humour, a typically understated kiwi passion, and then ultimately, with their hearts, and their tears.

>There won't be a dry eye in the house, McLaren is a wonderful watch, a must-see for all New Zealanders regardless of how much petrol runs through their veins.

So this Nicky Hayden faget...

Haven't paid any attention to this because I'm not a MotoFAG, but obviously knew about him being splattered to kill by a car while riding his bicycle due to all the MotoFAGs crying about it.
Read a random post today about his accident which piqued my interest, so I did some googling.

Turns out the stupid bastard rode his little bicycle at high bicycle speed through a stop sign, with ZERO visibility of the main road he was crossing LOL
What a dumbfuck. Serves him right.

Engineers are usually pretty redpilled, but she seems retarded already.
>"It's nice to have other female engineers around now—it's like an informal support system," she says. "But it would've been nice to have more of that diversity earlier on in my career."
The reason women don't have an aptitude STEM is likely due to the onus to do something extraordinary being on men.
Roughly 80% of women throughout history managed to pass on their genes while only 40% of men did. The odds were heavily stacked in women's favor to the point that they just had to be very conservative, go with the flow, and more than likely a man would have sex with them at some point. Men on the other hand had to struggle and compete for mates, you had to separate yourself from the rest, one avenue was through ingenuity.
This "women in STEM" meme is unnatural, most women can't hack it either. Nature will work itself out eventually though.

Winning at Monaco does not only mean you are good, but that your team is good, your car is good, your life choices have been good. Who cares about the race? Monaco is a pure 4D circuit, you overtake cars not only in the 3 dimensions but also in the 4th. Everything must be prepared, winning is a formality
>>
>>76261804
>Only the greats win at Monaco
I can believe this. As long as there's no other Monaco-esque circuits. It needs to be a one off.
Baku and Singapore work as they're wide enough with some straights so you can passs successfully without killing everyone.

>>76261880
I would still consider Singapore a special circuit just of a different variety.

The night, atmosphere and ambience combined with the length makes it special.

The actual science behind it is that an interest in understanding how systems work is strongly correlated with high testosterone levels in the womb. The higher these levels, the stronger your interest in understanding systems.

So for women as well, the ones that have higher levels of testosterone in the womb show a stronger interest in understanding systems. But male babies, on average, are producing twice as much testosterone when they're in the womb than female babies do. So this is why more men are interested in technical things like this (science, mechanics, mathematics, etc.) than women.

If you're interested, watch this (from 22:20): https://youtu.be/tiJVJ5QRRUE?t=22m20s

This even happens in chess. Women can't play for shit compared to men. But women/fags claim the reason for the skill dfiference is that there are more men than women playing the sport. While this is true, it does not explain the skill difference at all. Basically, women are shit. No homo
>>
>>76263587
Women are better at giving birth and sucking heterosexual dick (both are scientifically proven) but that's about it.
>>
>>76263325
Well the two important factors are chromosomes and hormones. The Y chromosome is what causes somebody to develop testicles, and testicles are factories for testosterone. Which is why males produce more of it.

>>76263587
I'm sure there are very good female chess players who would absolutely kick my arse. But yes it makes sense that there are more top male chess players than female (or that the top male chess players can beat the top female chess players).

It really is purely down to hormones. If you pump a female full of testosterone then she will start developing a masculine physiological AND psychological traits. Of course this is why there's such a debate over transgender sport - because you get people who were born male, with XY chromosomes, and therefore testicles and lots of testosterone, competing alongside women who produce far less testosterone. So then the male-to-female transgenders just win every time.

Here it's illegal to not be able to pay for repairs to a damaged car ect. You don't have to have insurance to cover that though.
And that sounds like it's similar to our island friend there too.
>>
>>76264466
>implying you're going to buy one

>>76264723
Sure it's illegal to not have insurance here, but I don't know about the red thing over here. It might be the case here too, because I guess owners of red cars are probably statistically more likely to drive them aggressively and shit.

So basically Renault are just stealing Force India's line up. Lol.

Also what about Joe, Lee, and Palmer? Finding three new seats is going to be difficult.
>>
>>76264929
>why

Because poor foreign niggers sneak into the country illegally, drive like they're still back in their piece of shit 3rd world hellhole, and run into citizens with the piece of shit cars they buy.
>>
>>76265476
>>76265416
I mean it basically is like that here, the only way you'd get caught not having insurance is by getting into a crash to begin with.
>>
>>76265679
Cops don't ask you for insurance when they pull you over routinely?
>>
>>76264338
Holy shit- Twelve Name's mum wants to bang you?
>>
>>76265855
Well, they ask for license and vehicle registration. You can't get vehicle registration without proof of insurance, but you could let the payments lapse and not be covered.
>>
>>76265679
I thought you lot had to get some stamp or sticker or sheet with all your info including insurance every year. And that your cops have a plate scanner thing that checks your plate against your records. So if they were a cunt they could pull you over for not being insured.

I think the main reason it's not really a thing here is because of how our health care system takes a lot of the cost of a crash out of the dispute. But that being said I don't know any people without at least 3rd party. I have always had full coverage but never used any of it.
>>

No, it was more along the lines of "don't talk to me or my son ever again".

I wrote a comment under his post saying "see you in f1, cunt"

>And that your cops have a plate scanner thing that checks your plate against your records. So if they were a cunt they could pull you over for not being insured.

They can do that, but usually you have to give them a reason to or be less than white.
>>
>>76266554
can a cop ask you for an ID without reason?

Here it's common to be written down when walking at 4AM

Based Tony Kanaan:

>Tony Kanaan has fired back at Lewis Hamilton over his recent comments about the competition level in the Verizon IndyCar Series.

>As Fernando Alonso was tackling the Indianapolis 500, Hamilton scoffed at how the Spaniard was able to be so competitive straight out of the box in qualifying.

>"To see him fifth against drivers who are there all year is ... interesting," the triple world champion said.

>Tony Kanaan, an IndyCar champion and 2013 Indy 500 winner, hit back.

>"What can I say," Kanaan told GLOBO. "The guy (Hamilton) competed in a two-car world championship last year and was second, so I don't think he can say much. It was a pleasure to have Fernando here. He is humble, not like some of his colleagues who were making comments this month."

Don't normally like LewLew but he didn't say anything wrong.

Pointed out that Fernando basically rocked up and was a good as anyone else in a series he'd never had any experience in ever.

He's being pretty objective, seems like Indy has a bit of sensitive spot.

Fernando has literally turned more miles in an Indycar at Indy than his 2017 F1 car.
Fernando did well, we expected him to.
This not reflective of Indycar's talent pool.

If you were that far below the racing line in the middle of a turn at 220 mph you'd want to get back on the asphalt too.

Turns at Indy are long enough that drivers have to respond to car movement all the way through the turn, especially at turn entry if the car starts to slide or or the wind changes mid-turn or the back starts to step out.
