Guys, I need a recommendation for a nice leather jacket that can handle some cold weather (~40 Fahrenheit) but that can also be worn on warmer days (upper 70s).

Revzilla has some decent prices for otherwise overpriced products, but remember - you don't have to buy motorcycle gear that is specifically made for motorcyclists and has name brand appeal, and you don't have to pay what some lawyer with his Harley would.
Hell, my first leather jacket was damn nice, heavy duty, tough, and good-looking. I got it at Goodwill for $25 about ten years ago. I still see them in that range at second hand stores but generally not in my size.

I can't speak for him, but here in Germany, when they catch you using the wrong fluid (there's molecular testing stations there that can distinguish between DOT 3, 4, and 5), they will give you a lump sum fine of 600 Euros (per wrongly filled container). It's not that bad though, because they will change the fluids there as well, but it is of course a lot more costly than at the dealership.That means you can drive off, even though your car was theoretically illegal.

OK, bikefags, I've been offered a deal. I have an account that is long overdue for collection. Guy still owes me $5k on a 2014 project. But he's a nice guy, and he's brought in small payments when he could, kept in contact, hell - even brought me a 20lb turkey for Thanksgiving. I haven't pushed it to collections, but he wants to settle the debt with a trade.

What he has: custom built motorcycle. Details I know are that it has a 127 cubic inch Harley stroker motor, 250 mm fat rear tire, a frame that he says was built by Jesse James in Texas (but I have doubts about that one, he showed me a photo without the custom corner web most JJ frames have.) Custom rims, 3" belt drive primary, built in 2012 and less than 2K miles on the odo. He claims it runs like a dream and has clear title.
Assume it's not all that it's hyped up to be, and there are problems with the bike I don't know about. Will I likely be able to sell it for something near $5k? If it's functional, should I keep it and ride it and eat the debt?
